hindi available sa area namen yung unlimtd texting.. pero pag tntry ko magregister pag nasa ibang place ako, gumagana... i tried to call their cust serv hotline, but it seems that all of the agents i spoke with are so incompetent..

smart postpaid user ako since 2004. ok naman. i love the rates lalo pag international text. mas mura. pati ang calls mas mura kesa pag prepaid ka.

sa roaming naman, kung set up properly sya dapat wlang problem whether prepaid or postpaid ka. my co-trainer is smart prepaid nung nagpunta kami ng US and natetext at natatawagan naman sya. May mga certain locations din na mahirap maka-text at makatawag. because remember, nasa pinas ang main telecoms sites and they just roam through their accredited sites abroad. nagamit ko din roaming ko when i was in hongkong and super ok naman.

in terms of cust service lalo sa phone. hay...next topic na lang hehe.

i have smart prepaid and i use it for internet only. sulit na for P20/hour. 3G naman so medyo mabilis din ang speed (when i checked, nasa 200+kbps). i only need this when i go out of town kasi meron naman ako internet sa bahay and office. so instead of getting globe visibility or pldt weroam, na may monthly subscription, eto na lang kasi occassional lang naman ang byahe.

hmm, that's weird. sabi ba ng cust care nila di daw po [textspeak!] pwede?  kasi si bf sa smart work. nung na-assign sa HK to officemates nya, which they all use prepaid roaming, natatawagan nya. ang alam ko, there has to be a minimum amount of load left para matawagan ka din. ang pangit kasi may charge din sau pag tinawagan ka. [textspeak!] officemate ko din nung nasa US and with prepaid roaming, natatawagan sya. so im not sure bakit sa iba hindi...

The coolest feature/advantage in registering your sim is the ability to retrieve PUKs should you forget your pin code and the sim is blocked due to repeated/successive failures.

naku sis. i checked with smart kasi tanong din taga-office about prepaid. sabi nung nag-handle ng roaming. depende sa service provider pero ang problem is since may charge pag tinawagan, Most (pero mukhang halos lahat) areas barred ang calls sa prepaid para din daw sa subscriber. para di sya ma-charge ng husto. so in most cases nga, text nga lang, wlang tawag... hay...

There are some countries where you can call a Smart prepaid subscriber such as HOng Kong, US, Singapore and some European countries. The activation procedure is different though. Instead of just a simple ROAM ON you have to indicate the country. To those who have complaints regarding customer service you can send them an email this way you can also help them improve.

As far as I know for Hongkong receiving of calls costs about 80php/min while for the US and Euro countries it could cost up to 140php/min.

^^^Yeah.  Can't do unlimited pag postpaid subs ka.  They have 2 kinds of postpaid accounts- Gold and Consumable.

Pag consumable, yung services such as text, calls, and yung mga texts sa Chikka, YM, mga games, downloads, contests, etc., covered na nung plan.  Bale yung plan mo kino-consume mo lang for a fee depending on your plan.  Halimbawa, pag naka-Plan 800 ka, ang text is more than P/1.00, so lugi diba?

Whereas sa Gold naman, for example, Plan 500 ka, meron kang 500 na text tapos may 20mins na free call, then yung ibang services such as texts to Chikka, mga contests, downloads, GPRS, etc., will be added to your bill, on top of the plan.

Pasaload is on top of Plan, and for roaming, you will have to pay P/2,500.00 as deposit, tapos lahat ng transactions pag naka-roaming, on top of plan lahat.  Luging-lugi as compared pag naka-prepaid.

Ang advantage lang ng naka-plan is mas mura ang International SMS.  Pag prepaid diba P15.00, pag naka-plan, 10.00 lang.
