What Can You Say About Online Shopping?

Hi guys, sinong into online shopping dito? As in lagi namimili online. I’m starting to try it out, but I’m so scared to use my credit card. Safe ba talaga? I know uso naman na to lalo na dahil ang dami ng mga Groupon, Cash Cash Pinoy website, etc. pero di lang talaga ako sanay. I have a BPI credit card and somebody has told me about their e-credit. Is anyone using it? Anong features and may interest/ finance charge ba yun?

^ make sure that yung sa address, it says https. also merong mga seals yun eh, forgot the name. Google na lang. I also suggest shopping from trusted websites. The smaller ones kasi, you'll wonder if legit eh. Mahirap na.

Also, it's better to pay with cc or Paypal. Mahirap kasi kung debit or diretso sa bank account mo. Tanggal agad ang pera. Unlike if you use a cc, madaling i-contest ang fraudulent transactions.

Last, when in doubt, just don't. If you're not entirely convinced that online shopping is for you then don't do it. I used to shop online too then I just stopped. Ayoko na. Kung 'di ko mabili, iniisip ko na lang, it's not meant to be nyaha

[I dont often shop online just sometimes but my sister does. For the pro's and con's that I can share is this:

Pro's:
1) They are much cheaper, you can get deals. 
2) You can do shopping even if you're at home.
3) You can easily compare prices, bec it saves time traveling from one shopping mall to another store.
4) Most of the stuff are found online than in the shopping malls or stores.  Happened to me all the time.

Con's:
1) There are a lot of frauds going on so make sure to look at the merchants or company's feedback/background before purchasing.
2) The hassle of returing the items if the clothes, shoes etc. dont fit, the items that they gave you is not the same model that you've order, there were some damages due to the postal service and so on.
3) Dealing with a crap for a customer service. Though not all of them have crappy customer service.
4) Overcharging you or you paid double bec they had hidden charges or they make the transaction on your credit card twice.

Though all of that can be settled, its just such a hassle.

lalo na pag wala dito or i find it too expensive sa malls
just like the cake from my inaanak i got them from multiply
yung cake sa mall na fondant 3 thou na
doon 3.5 k may cupcakes ka ang sosy talaga

pagdating sa clothes talagang risky
you can always ask the seller sa dimensions or if pwede meet up
tapos request for sizes 1 smaller n 1 larger

nakakadeceive lang nga yung quality
so be careful!

bought a gap set recently for my niece, hindi kasi actual pictures yung nakapost sa website nung nabilhan namin. pagdating saken, fake yung clothes i returned it! pumayag naman siya... kakadisappoint lang and yes it's risky!

^i have the same problem sis - some sellers who claim that their items are on-hand should at least find time to take photos of the actual item - not only 1 shot but several diba. it's the least they could do since they opted to sell online anyway. I hate seeing stock photos on an on-hand item.  good na lang na naibalik mo sis.

^ am a seller too but ako yung nahihiya sa mga taong nagsasabi na they sell authentic gap like that pero pagdating sa buyer, hindi pala yup, good thing nasoli ko, sabi pa saken hindi daw niya napansin and parehas naman daw nung nakapost sa site. hay!

Hindi na ako nakapaghintay doon sa reply ng pinapasabayan ko (thru balikbayan box) sa mga online purchases ko sa US. I contacted the cargo kung saan sya nagpapasabay ng balikbayan box. hehe... I asked them if puwede bang sa address nila (cargo/balikbayan box company) ko ipapasabay iyong purchases ko. I'm still weighing kasi to do pabili ba or if there are other means. Nahihiya kasi akong ipadala sa address ng mga kamag anak ko sa US. Dati kasi ganun ginawa ko tapos hindi na ako pinabili at sila na bumili. Nahihiya tuloy ako...

 Very convenient and it is open to the whole world .I sell beauty stuff and it is good earning from it.
 Dati na addict ako sa Amazon...mostly books.
 Disadvantage: Hmm,madaming scammers sa hirap ng buhay.

want to purchase something at amazon.  hindi sila nagshi-ship sa Philippines.  pano yun?  kelangan may address to U.S.?  pano kayo nag-oorder sa amazon?   

when i want to order something from amazon pinapasabay ko sa whoever is coming here from the US (friend/relative/relative ng friend). amazon ships to the philippines pero limited lang yung shini-ship nila.

^ usually dapat pareho sa credit card, pero may ibang merchants naman na ok lang kahit hindi pareho.

Nako eh yung billing address limited lang [textspeak!] dropdown menu sa US and Canada. So meaning,

when shopping online (e.g., amazon, ebay) and you pay via paypal that is linked to your credit card that is issued in the philippines, may mga credit card ba na mas okay gamitin?  was checking kasi the fees they have for foreign transactions:

Citibank:  Foreign Transaction Service Fee - 3.525% shall be charged on the converted amount of foreign transactions representing the Bank's service fee and any assessment fee(s) charged by MasterCard/Visa.

BPI:  Issuer's Service Fee for Foreign Currency Transactions - 0.75% of MasterCard's foreign exchange rate at the time the transaction is posted.

tama ba ang pagkaintindi ko, sa Citibank, they would add 3.525% more to the converted amount.  While in BPI, yung forex rate ang dadagdagan ng 0.75% then this new rate will be used to convert to pesos?

kayo ba, what credit card do you use for foreign transactions and why?

in denial online shopping addict na ata ako..hahaha almost twice a week i receive my packages..and if walang parating hinahanap hanap ko the feeling of being excited to open the package.. i find it very convenient,in the comfort of your own place.. just click here and there but ofcourse ingat ingat din..i always check for the feedback status of the seller..marami na rin kc ang nanloloko.. so far once pa lang naman ako nakaexperience ng hassle..they send me the wrong item, they admit its their fault papalitan naman ang item but i should shoulder the expense of sending it back to them..pero indi kami ngkasundo..for me its their fault.im agood buyer ever since, pays on time..ang ending i asked for the refund of my money, i did not buy the item anymore, it cause me so much hassle.. yun lang kaya dapat mga sellers careful din in sending those items kc hassle magbalik..kaya double check lagi..
