di naman nakakatakot sis. basta pag-aralan mo muna yung seller kung legit. research about online safety saka start ka muna bumili ng mga mura lang na items, para maging familiar ka na sa process at ma-scam man maliit na halaga lang. mas madali icheck ang integrity ng seller via ebay kesa sa multiply, kasi makikita mo dun yung feedbacks ng mga previous buyers at di pwede iedit yun ng seller (unlike sa multiply na pwede nya idelete mga negative feedbacks).

eto mga reminders na pwede ko i-share about safety. risky ang isang transaction if:
1. high-risk ang item: lapitin ng scam yung mga gadgets (laptops, camera, cellphones) and other high-priced items (like havs and designer bags)
2. mode of payment is via instant money transfer lang (gcash, western union, kwarta padala) at walang bank deposits as options
3. walang meetup or may meetup daw pero sa liblib na lugar naman sa pinas (malalayong provinces) para madiscourage yung buyer na makipag-meetup
4. price is too good to be true (either scam or fake yung item)
5. bago lang yung account
6. kung sa ebay, ang feedbacks nya ay puro bilang buyers ng mga mura at pwedeng isend online na bagay (like ebooks saka load)

syempre there are new sellers na legit at may connections kaya nakakapagbenta ng mura. kaya sa new sellers dapat magbigay ng option ng meetup saka kumuha ng bank accounts para di sila mukhang scammer.

kung sa ebay kayo bibili, para sure bumili kayo sa powersellers or dun sa may marami nang positive feedbacks at mataas ang rating as sellers. kung new seller naman, dun sa nakikipag-meetup.

so u guys use paypal?

yup i use paypal pero pag sa foreign sellers lang. pag local transactions, puro gcash at sa reliable sellers lang.

After weeks of procrastinating I finally managed to reactivate my ebay.ph store today. Took me 2 hours topost 3 items....tapos ngayon di ko sya makita...wahhh!!!


Anyway, wish me luck na wag sana ako ma scam!!!

very relaxing talaga mag online shopping kasi right in the comforts of your own home, nakakapag-browse ako ng mga stuffs from different websites. i've tried shopping online thru multiply palang.

i want to shop online sana kaso from US and HK websites kaso lang I don't know how shipping works..do I have to pay sa customs pag ganun or will it be shipped directly sa house ko?

minsan sis hindi lumalabas agad yung items na kakalist mo pa lang sa ebay. check mo uli after a few hours. as for meetups, nasa seller yun, so pili ka ng meetup place na convenient at matipid sayo. kung medyo tago yung lugar nyo na tipong magta-tricycle ka pa na mahal ang bayad para lumabas, wag ka na lang magmeetup (unless mahal yung mga paninda mo at decent ang tubo). gamit ka na lang ng bank accounts to accept payments, para di mukhang scammer then indicate mo na bulacan yung location ng item at kung ilang days bago makukuha nung buyer yung order nya, para di magpanic at iwas low rating/negative feedback.

some foreign sites offer door to door shipping. pero ang laki ng shipping fee at magbabayad ka pa rin ng customs tax (aabunohan ng courier at sa kanila mo babayaran upon delivery ng item). kung via postal office naman, kukunin mo yung package sa post office. (papadalhan ka nila ng notice na may package ka). merong risk ng customs tax esp pag high-end items or malaki yung value ng package. Ako lagi ko dinadaan sa postal, tapos less than $50 ang total kasama na shipping. so far, di pa ako nasingil ng customs tax, yun lang P35 na storage fee sa post office.

^ thanks sis for the info. Pano yung via postal office? May option ba na ganun yung mga online stores? Kasi mostly ang nakikita ko lang EMS, FEDEX, DHL, etc.

I read kasi sa ibang thread na kapag balikbayan box daw wala na tax. Pano kung a few pieces of clothes or bags lang ang bibilin ko?

^ kung big online stores usually wala ganung option, most ebay.com sellers meron.

di pwede sis ang balikbayan box, malaki yun, at mga pinoys abroad lang ang may alam nun. kung foreigners, di nila alam yun at kung big online stores, malabo silang pumayag na gumamit nun.
