we got a 40" sony bravia W(or is it V?)

when my bf and i played 2k9 on ps3 its PIXELATED.
hmm. its indicated pa naman na FULL HD 1080.
For hd movies, ok naman siya. kaso for gaming dunno na lang.
for DVD movies, parang it comes too dark for me. lalo na pag tagalog dvds? parang tv channel. hindi siya katulad ng samsung and other brands ang vibrant ng pictures.
as for the design, mas sleek in black ang samsung.IMO
kung sa patagalan, eh sony na hehe meron pa nga kami nung hunchback. buhay pa din

well maybe sa series lang nagkakatalo sa sony. ang samsung naman eh mas mura.
pero sige na nga SONY na ako

my first tv was 21" Flat CRT Sony Wega... i bought it last 1999 and until now... still working... yung remote na lang ang problema pero gumagana pa naman... now i bought a new Samsung Slimfit... maganda naman sya... pag nagka pera bibili na lang ulit ng Bravia... so my vote will always be Sony... 2nd choice with be Samsung and 3rd would be Panasonic...

Some say that the LCD used in Sony is made by Samsung.

Value for money, I think mas better ang Samsung.

^ you're right about that, samsung is one of the panel makers of sony, however sony have their own technology and samsung have their own also. Sharp also have joint venture with sony on their lcd.

panasonic kame, tested ko na eto. may tv ako na panasonic 10years na saken at maayos pa at malinaw ang picture, never pa nasira...

hmmm...nakakalito na which is a better buy... sony bravia W or samsung.... may promo ang sony ngaun... Php 107,000 ang sony bravia W 40" with free home theater at 20" flat tv....worth the money na ba toh? parang ansakit pa din sa bulsa....may pioneer na kasi kameng home theater sa bahay...sayang naman yung extra....

how about pioneer? worth the money ba talaga?

^ depends on the particular model you will be comparing from. Personally i find both to be good, but noticed that sony have better technology and samsung seems to be lagging a bit. Also those "free" items usually are factored into the actual unit price already.

mukhang masarap nga gamitin sa gaming. yung kapatid ko parang inaangkin yung bravia namin pag naglalaro ng ps3 eh...almost all day, everyday. titigil lang yun pag pupunta ng bathroom o kakain.

kami tuloy sa normal na tv lang nanonood sa mga kwarto namin. tsk. pinapagalitan ng tatay ko. kaya nag-iipon kapatid ko ngayon para pambili ng personal na bravia. kahit yung maliit lang daw. adik adik talaga yun. palibhasa hindi nag-shoshopping kaya maraming ipon.

we have a pioneer pdp-427 (plasma display panel 42" series 7).

we auditioned a lot of tvs when we were scouting around pa lang - samsung, sony, lg, etc. - but the pioneer was the best for us.

i think tumigil na sila sa 8 series and have stopped production of plasma tvs na. but i am not sure. we have been wanting to upgrade our tv to a 508, bigger and the black levels are way better.

for us, it's super worth it. tapos with blu-ray and hd (we got this before they conceded to blu ray) dvds pa.

my brother and father bought sony...kami ni hubby went for samsung....tingin ko mas sharp pictures ng sony nila kesa sa samsung namin...pero happy naman ako sa samsung...yoko ng masakit sa mata hehe

We've been using Sony eversince we were kids.

But now that LCD's are in and Sony is undoubtedly a lot more expensive than other brands, we're contemplating on Samsung instead. Haven't made the decision yet though.... still debating.
