Best Brand for TV?

I found an alternative for sharp aquos LCD. Its LG LCD. get the 32 or 42 inch LCD. they are using hard panel not like other LCDs soft panel lang ginagamit. Sony bravia got lots of raves dito sa thread na ito pero when I checked their showroom sa megamall, I was not impressed. Maybe because I compared different models na at different brands.

Samsung has good LCDs pero yung mga nasa 1mega pixel to 2mega pixels na. Yung lumang labas ng samsung is not even comparable sa pinakapangit ng bravia.

i haven't checked pioneer yet. where can i check pioneer's LCDs?

I want my hard-earned money to be spent to an item that will surely serve its purpose

for crt tvs naman, samsung is the only brand of tv na may 5 years warranty sa picture tube. am thinking tuloy that samsung is really promising value for consumers' money with their CRT tvs

^ i don't think pioneer has lcd tvs, plasma lang. and i think last release na ng pioneer yung ngayong series kasi yung next panasonic panel na. that's what i remember from my husband.

before we got our pioneer plasma tv, we compared it with most of the other lcd tvs available in the market and for us talagang mas maganda yung pioneer. but that was early last year pa so i don't know how it compares to the newer lcd releases.

plsma vs lcd - each has its pros and cons. a lot say lcd is better than plasma but i trust my husband's choice. he did a lot of research before we decided to get the pioneer. kahit sa auditions namin mas maganda ang picture quality ng pioneer, we didn't buy it until he was done with his research.

if you want to audition pioneer plasma tvs, you may do so at sm appliance stores or at automatic center.

we have a pdp427 (42" ng 7 series nila). the 8 series tvs (kuro) are the ones on display in most of the branches of sm and automatic center. what's nice about these stores is that pioneer items are on consignment so you can haggle directly with the pioneer SA and mas flexible and package nila in terms of discounts and freebies.

^ correction. may pioneer lcd tv na pala pero wala pa dito, sa europe pa lang. pero maliliit. 42" and up puro plasma pa din.

Meron bang nagtry ng Philips? Coz last time na tumingin kami ng TV, 3 yung nakaopen, Sony,Philips and JVC ata and yung Philips yung mas malinaw sa 3.

^^thank you sis clueless. Wala kasi akong makitang pioneer na LCD tvs. I don't have plans pa naman to buy. I intend to buy when construction of my house is finished na.

since tv brands na din napaguusapan dito, sis may alam po ba kau good repair shop for sony tvs??? un color kc ng tv namin nagiging dark and when we ussually watch to it mostly pag madilim (like horror/suspense movies) we cannot see whats really happening... parang shadows na lang... sa sony centers po kaya? nagrerepair ba cla dun? worries ko kc bka lalo masira pg sa basta basta lang...

or else, any idea how much is a brand new tv? i prefer sony or samsung...

Those are the best electronics manufacturer.... so trust them! it will give you good performance....

actually most of the top electronics manufacturer were almost at the same level... actually nagkakatalo na lang sila sa advertisement... pero their products level were of almost the same... now it depends on you kung ano ang taste mo...

the last time i tried their tv (not lcd) i was disappointed with the picture quality so i replaced it with a sony and was satisfied with it.

we have the 46" sony bravia of the W series. super crisp ng pictures and ang lakas ng sound.

matagal na kaming di sony.  panasonic and jvc yung latest crt namin.  then recently jvc 32" lcd na binili namin.  harang pala lcd dito sa pilipinas, malabo mga channel.  kasi daw hindi pa naman nagbro broadcast ng hd mga stations natin dito

^yup. unlike sa US na marami nang channels ang geared towards HD televisions. ang alam ko nga by february 17 next year, ma-phase out na yung mga analog TV sa US kasi lahat ng channels nila pang HDTV na.

malabo nga yung mga local channels pag pinanood mo sa LCD tv dito sa pinas. or at least mapapansin mo talaga yung difference pag kakanood mo lang ng HD na movie tas manonood ka na ng analog broadcasts. i think we have to wait pa for a long long time bago pa maging digital lahat ng broadcasts dito sa pilipinas. kailan kaya dadating yung panahon na yun?
