^^ HDMI is high definition multimedia interface, in a nutshell it provides the interface in delivering a digital, enhanced and high definition video and audio from your source (dvd player, etc) to your receiver (high-def tv, etc) via a single cable.

watched bbc just last week and saw the featured items to be the next "big thing" in every aspect of technology. they featured hi def TV's, plasmas, LCDs pero the "apple of the eye" is the samsung TV ata yun that uses LEDs and is very very thin. am wondering how much would it cost kaya? its just 9mm thick! and the viewing angle (i forgot na)....

I go for Sony. I have a Sony Bravia X series full HD 46 inch LCD tv and kahit wala pang hdmi cables ang ganda talaga pati sound quality. But of course we eventually bought HDMI CAbles and home theater para mas okay.

Sony, whatever your budget and preference. Lasts in good working condition and quality for the longest. Easy service, madaming parts and madali tumawag ng accredited serviceman to come to your house (kasi kung malaki ang tv hazzle i transport unless kelangan talaga gawin sa accredited repair center)

Panasonic (both for LCD and plasma). It doesn't need a cable booster for local cable channels and it's really great for DVDs (kahit hindi pa hi-def or upscaling ang dvd player).

It's underrated and not noticed but when I saw the picture quality, I shifted my loyalty to Panasonic.
