i bought a TCL 21 inch truflat.. cheaper kasi sya and of good quality din naman.. satisfied naman ako.. bought it at SM @7.5k with free tv rack.

if you can afford PIONEER, so be it .. nothing compares PIONEER, the design, the quality, the output... my next choice is ofcourse SONY then Samsung ...

badw33d, agree with you there. we have a pdp-427 and we are so happy with it. sulit. sana lang we waited for the 428 because it got very, very good reviews. but very happy with the 427 nonetheless.

out of all the tvs we tested (plasma and lcd), pioneer was the best in terms of picture quality talaga, even compared to the sony bravia and samsung (which are the usual choices for lcd tvs).

and we tested all the tvs with just basic settings, no hdmi input etc para they were all on the same level. some tvs on display kasi syempre show the best settings with a really good (sometimes hd) dvd player so you may not actually get the same as what you see, like if you only have a regular dvd player at home.

but plasma vs lcd is another issue altogether.

betty, 42" na yata ang pinakamaliit na plasma ng pioneer.

we got ours last january for 180k sa sm appliance store. naka-"discount" kami ng 40k because we paid in cash.
