finished my first ever knitting project last week. It was supposed to be a scarf, kaso wala naman akong paggagamitan, ginawa ko na lang na camera pouch.

Where do you buy your materials? Ang mahal kasi sa Dream Yarn (?) sa Glorietta 5 eh. Eh usually iba-ibang pattern, iba-ibang needles and yarn ang gamit, kaya mahal inaabot...

Dreams (shop) sells imported yarn, yung mga novelty stuff, furry/fluffy, may halong tinsel, mohair, laceweight yarn. It can get expensive. Meron ding acrylic yarn like Red Heart, etc.

I stick with circs. (circular knitting needles). I can use it to knit in the round (socks, bonnets, etc.) -- instead of the DPNs (which I find to be a bit fiddly and more ladder-risky) and knit straight. Socks and chunky cowls are soooo satisfying to knit. Useful too.

The "ukay" yarn shop in Rosario -- I got a few verrrry nice balls of yarn there, high-qual, tight-spun, cept very dusty/dirty.

we live in angeles city, but the local store here only has small balls of yarn. Any suggestions on where to find larger yarn packages. Thks

Thread ressurection 

For those who want to learn how to knit, the owner of Dreams Yarnshoppe in Glorietta5 third floor teaches knitting.  They also sell various yarns, threads, knitting needles and notions.  Pag nandun ako, nakakaadik    (Disclaimer: I am not in anyway connected with the store or being paid by it. I knitted a scarf last year for my fiance. A bitin scarf. Haha hayz. But at least I finished a project. Nakaka relax pala knitting. I plan to take up knitting again. Masaya sa Dreams Yarnshoppe, the owner/teacher is very patient Plan ko gumawa ng mga knitted stuff we could use for when we move into our own home

Yes Sis, sobrang saya magtambay sa Dreams, lalo na pag nandun ibang knitters/stitchers.  There is a Monday Group and also a Tuesday Group.  Tho the original is the Tuesday Group.  Lately, may nabubuo na naman yatang group, di ko lang matandaan kung weekend o Sunday Group.  Dati every Thursday tumatambay ako dun, kaya lang nitong nagwowork na ako, di ko na magawa, kaya nagniknit na lang ako in the evening or during lunch break.  Pang alis lang baga ng stress

Kakatuwa, last time I posted here, fiance ko palang yung husband ko. I knitted a scarf for him then. Now we're married and I knitted a coffee cozy for him naman after I attended a CraftMNL workshop on knitting recently. It was so much fun.  Problem ko lang I wasn't able to learn how to sew the side seams. YouTube is really helpful pero better talaga if may real-life teacher ka.

Planning to drop by Dreams Yarnshoppe to get more yarn and hopefully catch the teacher there.
