infant cough and colds

hello mommies! need your advice on our 2 month old baby. napansin ko 2 days ng clogged ang nose nya sa madaling araw. during day and night time ok naman siya. naka-AC kami sa gabi hanggang magising ng 7am. im thinking if we just turn it off ng mga madaling araw baka giniginaw masyado. officemate said dust might also be causing it. kayo mommies, na-experience niyo na iyon sa babies nyo? tia!

We experienced the same. My baby always tend to have clogged nose and I thought its because of the weather. But it might be one of the reasons that triggered the allergy of the baby but it could because of the dust. So daddy bought dehumidifier and put in our room and in 1 day baby is free from cough and cold already. Funny that I ordered nebulizer from Lazada and its on its way I just cancelled it since my princess is ok na. Haha.

^thanks sis sa idea on dehumidifier. we actually brought baby to his pedia, he was given allerkid and ambroxol. allergy cough nga. i remember his dad experienced the same when i was still pregnant. anyhoo its been a week pero persistent pa din yung clogged nose sa madaling araw kahit na we're not using the AC na, so yeah we'll buy dehumidifier na lang din siguro. thanks again!

Hay my 4 mo old bebe is sick. Nagka colds nung monday kaya ata inuubo kasi hindi makahinga pag inhale sya. Grr

Nagbigay antibiotic, alnix & nebu si pedia.. I hope mag ok na sya agad.. Nakamuconase & aspirator kami nung una, stop ko na daw coz traumatic kay baby. Nagwawala sya talaga hehe pinipilit ko lang. Nagddry tuloy nostril area nya..

Saan kayo nakabuy dehumidifier sisses? We have one kuno kunong humidifier ata ito. From ace waa hehe ano ba diff ng humidifier at dehumidifier? 😑

my daughter got sick a month ago and at first, I just wanted her body to fight off the infection without drugs... so I amped up her vitamin C intake, got her to rest/play in her crib every 2 hrs while we turned on the humidifier on. Pero the virus was super grabe so I gave in and gave her Prospan... herbal naman sya na recommended ng pharmacists dito. Ahh, we also applied Vicks sa chest, back and feet nya before bedtime.

For her clogged nose, we used saline drops. Salt water lang so we can spray as often as possible. We use an aspirator first, then spray 2x in each nostril... then aspirate again. Kahit na she was sick, she still slept through the night. She'd cough pero she never woke up naman and nagwala.

She just stayed home for a week too, I didn't let her go to her preschool for 2 weeks. Ayun, okay naman agad.

Whereas si hubby na nagkasakit rin (nahawa sila) took 4 weeks to recover! May dry cough pa for 2 weeks! So 6 weeks syang ubo ng ubo before completely nawala.
