Samar - Biri Island and everything else

Wag nyo pala kalimutan bumili ng banig products nila. Bumili ko ng bag na gawa sa banig, matibay at ang ganda ng design. Bumili din ako ng placemat, ang nice ng mga design nila

Hi mga sis, can anyone help me. I want to know if there are places we could stay near balangiga.  We will be having a mission activity there this july. Is there a nearby resort that we could go to after?

hello mga sis. im from San jose northern samar. maganda talaga jan sa biri. lalo na yung mga rock formation. pero siyempre ingat lang din kasi marami engkanto jan. wag na lang din magkalat or what. basta enjoy lang. maraming magagadang lugar sa Samar na hindi pa nadedevelop.

Biri is beautiful, but sorry to say, there were some negative things i've observed when I visited some years ago:

1.  Yung mga taga-Biri mismo, nagkakalat sa rock formations.  Magpi-picnic sila doon, tapos yung mga pinag-kainan, basta-basta na lang iiwanan nang naka-kalat.  Pati nga basag na bote meron eh.

2.  Mga Samareno mismo (from the mainland), nagsusulat sa rock formations.

3.  Prostitution exists in Biri island.  My guide was pretty vocal about it.

At dahil diyan, hindi ako naniniwala na may engkanto doon.  Dahil kung may engkantong nagbabantay sa Biri, hindi niya hahayaan na mangyayari yun doon.

I hope things have improved by now.

This is also on my bucket list and for the first time, ngayon ko lang nasaba tong negative reviews about Biri, from Mr Punch, sana naayos na to.
