How much do you give for the church?

is it necessary ba to give the tithe to the church? or giving it to other ministries like Living Word, The Feast, etc is also considered a tithe? i'm also planning to give it to other charities like GW and Bo's charities.

Before, younger years , I used to give barya barya, come college and when I got my job in fast food chains, I remember giving 20 or 50 pesos. Later on, I learned about tithing. I started with just 100, and eventually, P500, though I remember hindi ako kumikita ng maayos nun, but I had no obligations that time, single eh. I made it a point to give whole heartedly, I get excited to give in love offerings, I was happy giving back that small amount. Looking back, I have proven to myself that tithing opens my life to an abundance of blessings. I don't think it matters saan mo binigay , whether in church, or in communities, as long as where you feel that your spiritual life and relationship with God has been nurtured. It's like giving back a portion of our "kita" to the One who gave us everything. I remember the story of the beggar and the rich man. The beggar had nothing, and the rich man gave him money to start his business from scratch, the rich man just asked the beggar to give him at least 10% of his earnings and keep the rest. As his business grew, the beggar became rich and told himself there is no reason to give the rich man his 10%, why should he? He's already rich, and I'm the one who made this business grow.. After a while, the rich man came back, and asked the beggar-now -turned-rich for his 10%. Why would I give you my 10% when I'm the one who made this business grow!, the rich man told the beggar-turned-rich-man, you ungrateful one, I am not asking for the 10% because I need it, I have more than enough already. I am asking you this to remind you to be grateful ...

I give po 10% for Tithes. Then nag sponsor po ako ng mga 3 bata for a year sa Metro World Child (500 per child). Pag offering, kapag happy po ako magbigay, I give that amount. Example, 100, 200, 300, 500, or more. hehe

It varies, depende sa sahod (and commission).. Dahil weekly sila mama umattend ng service sa church at may pasok ako, I would normally leave 200 para sa tithes at 100 for the love offering.

Pag maganda ang pay, nagbibigay ako 500 kase may mga bonus at comish naman.

Hindi man sya saktong 10% ng kita ko, I know that God can see my intention na mag-give back kahit paano. At the moment kase that's the most that I can spare sa dami ng gastos - sa baby, sa bahay and bank loan pa. LOL.

I am giving 10% or more of my gross income to charge. Usually pila ako sa office then they will issue me a receipt. I would always encounter the same question from different cashiers. "Ma'am donation lang to?" It made me wonder tuloy kasi napansin ko, all of those who are lined up next to me fill up the prayer request or mass intention form. Naisip ko lang, kapag nagpadasal ka ba and may binigay kang money, it serves as your tithe na ba? Personally, donation lang ako lagi. If and ever i have mass intentions etc, i have a separate money allotted for it. Iba pa yung binibigay ko during offertory.

my personal giving meaning - Offerings and vows is another thing. There is a big difference between Tithes, Offering and Vows. Tithes is something that we should return to the Lord. It is His and not ours, as clearly stated in the bible 10% of everything that you earned.
