Mixed Marriage

mga sis, ganito kasi yung situation namin, born again christian ako and h2b catholic. we decided sa catholic church magpakasal.  tapos meron po hinihingi na letter sa church ko na pwede ako ikasal sa catholic church. hndi na po ako ganun ka-active sa church. ang sabi po kung san ako nagsisimba, hndi daw sila nagiissue ng letter.

ano po ma advise ninyo na gawin ko? if ever ba na magcivil marriage muna kami, hndi ko na need yung letter from the church?

Bakit daw hindi sila nagiisue ng letter? Endorsement letter lang naman yun ah.. Have you talked to the main pastor?

nope. but yung friend ko na super active sa church, siya yung nagask.

I think better talk to the pastor yourself para din sa follow up question na kung di sila mag iissue ano steps ang kelangan gawin... parang impossible kasi na di sila mag iissue nun.. otherwise baka ang choice mo nlng nyan e paconfirm sa catholic para lang maikasal, although shempre not ideal yun kung Christian ang belief mo talaga...

Hi, Ladies.

Mixed marriage din in our case, I am Catholic and h2B is Methodist (Protestant/Christian). We agreed na mixed marriage sa Catholic church.

Wala naman akong concern nung una, nung nagtatanong kasi ako sa mga church, tumatanggap naman daw sila ng mixed marriage. Thing is, I recently learned na may case pala na mixed marriage pero rites lang ang ibibigay, walang mass.    In some cases (2 churches so far), they would require some other document/letter of approval to be provided + the reservation fee for your booking.
FYI sa mga mixed marriages, do check with the church if mass+rites yung ibibigay nila and if may additional document needed for the reservation.

Now, I'll have to call our shortlisted church to check. Anyway, it's all good, we have enough time pa naman. Hope all goes well sa mga in a same situation na malapit na ang wedding dates.

kami mag cicivil muna, tapos dahil hindi naman catholic si bf, garden wedding na blessing done by a priest na solemnizing officer din ayaw niya kasi mag church. okay na rin basta may pari kahit hindi mass talaga

Does anyone of you know kung allowed ito sa Caleruega?
Hubby is a born again Christian while I am a Catholic. I have sent them an email regarding this.
Would update you guys once they reply. =)
