we're going to the phils from dec 4 to jan 5. does anyone have any recommendations for serviced apartments in makati for 6 people? hopefully also with running water (shower) and a place that is safe and walking distance to the shops/attractions etc. looking at spending around 40k php for a month. thanks in advance

^best option would be a condo. Your budget is a bit small for a serviced apartment.

If it's a 5-star serviced residence like Ascott Makati (formerly Oakwood), it's also like living in a hotel. Other serviced apartments: Discovery Suites and Linden Suites

Half of Fraser Place is serviced. Not quite sure if they are rated 4 or 5 star.

4-star serviced residence - Somerset Olympia, Somerset Salcedo and Somerset Millenium. I think Astoria is either 4 or 3-star serviced residence.

Serviced apartment/residence is like having the best of both worlds. You get the convenience of staying in a bigger unit (similar to that of condo) but you also get the facilities and amenities such as that of a hotel. However this only holds true fot 5-star serviced apartment/residence such as Ascott Makati (formerly Oakwood), Discovery suites and Linden suites. para siyang hotel, pero they are ACTUALLY classified as SERVICED APARTMENT/RESIDENCE.

For ascott Makati, you can visit : www.ascottmakati.com or www.the-ascott.com to visit the other ascott and somerset properties.
Syempre some people consider this a hotel because it is really like a hotel pero you get more perks nga kase all-suites. Main competitors din nila are hotels.

For the other serviced apartment/residence like fraser and somerset, 4 -star ang rating. Hindi nga lang syempre kasing grand ng Ascott and others.

San ba me murang hotel/decent apartel/transient rooms sa manila or even makati area?  I have to stay kahit one night  lang together with my baby and one yaya. Please send ur infos here, i need to have one asap. My budget for one night's stay is around 500 pesos. Kahit hinde sosy [textspeak!] hotel or kahit apartel or kahit pang transient lang, mas mura ang transient diba?  basta huwag lang motel kase i have a child with me.

I know a studio unit at "Malayan Plaza", fronting ADB and Podium. The standard rate is 1,700pesos/night and they give discount to long staying guests. This is managed personally by the owner and not a condotel unit.

Help mga sis!  I really need your advice. 

My husband is looking for a place to stay in Makati for at least 2 weeks since he will be taking up several courses at the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging.  PCCI is located at the 2nd Flr of Kodak Bldg., Chino Roces Ave (formerly Pasong Tamo), Makati.  Based on the location map posted at their website, nearby establishments are Liwayway Publishing, MC Home Depot, Roche & Federal Hardware.

Can you please recommend a hotel/inn/B&B somewhere in that area?  My budget, by the way,is around P1500-2000/night.
