i've always made a joke out of this when people ask me about my "heart." i'd always say "i have a mind, but not a heart." always prided myself on this. but the truth is, it is struggling from the tugs of the little devil of selfishness.

i lie helplessly as i watch
a hideous, creepy hand of a monster
