Sabi ng HR namin kasi since sila muna magbabayad ng maternity, half ng amount makukuha ng a month before giving birth, then the other half, after mo manganak at pagkasubmit ng Mat 2 forms....pero may mga nagsasabi kasi na per SSS dapat si company talaga magbayad in full prior to giving birth?

pano nyo nakuha yung sa inyo? thanks

^According sa HR naming, as soon as I submit the MAT 2 documents 2-3 months before I give birth, bayaran nila ng buo.

May issue pako ditto ngayon sa maternity benefits na yan. I'm a dual citizen and I pay US taxes on social security and medicare on top of my Philippine taxes. Lahat ng dumaan sa payroll ko na galing sa company naming, nata taxan ng US mapa bonus or regular pay. Take note, wala silang cap kagaya ditto sa Pinas na pag more than 90k ka ng bonuses, saka ka lang magka tax. So anyway, yung maternity benefit ko, dadaan sa payroll ko and I'm upset kase sabe ng HR Singapore, tataxan din daw ng US yon. WTF, eh hinde naman company naming magbabayad non technically, SSS galing yon, ire reimburse lang nila. Buti sana kung makatarungan na amount ang binabawas nila pero based on my computation, sa 63k na makukuha ko dapat sa SSS, around 30k something na lang matitira after my US taxes.

So ayan nagpapa stress saken ngayon kase I've been asking our HR kung baka pwedeng I get it by check or I go directly to SSS to file a claim. I even threatened to file legal actions kaya naghahanap ako ng tax attorney now who specializes in both US and Philippine taxes. Trivial matter man to some people, pero saken hinde kase benefit ko yan eh.

I hate the US. I hate Trump I hate the IRS  :-\

Ako naman I stopped working 6 months ago. Im due in Feb 2020.

Continuous naman sss payments ko as voluntary. Pero syempre hindi na maximum contribution so I wont get 70k.  Actually nagcompute na ko 39k lang makukuha ko. But I guess ok lang kasi free naman manganak dito including checkups/ultrasound. Tsaka 1 month paid paternity leave for dads.

Nagsubmit na ko Mat1 online. Ang iniisip ko lang pano magsubmit Mat2 and then claim yung 39k if you live overseas. Im just hoping its true we can claim sss maternity upto 10 years from date of delivery.

Eh maternity benefits mo yan. You work hard for it.

^Sayang talaga sis. Kaya I escalated the issue na. Chaka Philippine government benefit to, dapat hands off sila jan.

Another option I looked at is baka si HR pwedeng check ang ibigay saken and not through payroll. Naka escalate na din naman samin pati sa company lawyer and sa HR ng US and Singapore. Sabe ko nga sa kanila, maybe trivial amount lang yon para sa kanila but it's still my benefit na binabayaran ko sa SSS tapos babawasan ng US? Bakit?

^sorry out-of topic, sis anong HMO yung gamit niyo at covered ang panganganak mo? PH based ka ba?

Yes PH based and Intellicare yung HMO namin. I think iba-iba ang benefits na pwede mong makuha from your HMO depende sa agreement between your employer and the HMO kung ano ang gusto nilang ibigay.
