Past lives. It is helpful to learn something about this but the need for that is outweighed - for most - na to address the present. I am not sure if this is exactly correct ha but what I do know and stick with ay to make the subject work on the problem existing. This way mas may energy later on to absorb the higher stuff that needs to be worked on. Ito ang main reason why I used na yun mula kay Sun Tzu na learn about yourself and about your enemy and apply that to your plan of action.
what many need to realize is that whoever we are right now is a product of our choices. the soul is the one that decides what it should do for the current life. kumbaga sa school, while a student must finish what is planned on the academic criteria, the student can choose the club where he things he will benefit from.
alam ni Sir CH etong next na sasabihin ko. sa school namin may Club for Office Practice. back then ang typing and writing memos and letters, were reserved for grade 6 and grade 7 students. during my time it was one of the least liked clubs. but for some reason, my friends and i decided to join. this was when we were in grade four, and we were members up to grade 7. the typewriter was already out of fashion. heck even Gregg shorthand was extinct na at the time. but for some reason we chose to join COP. so ganun ang Soul. siya lang nakaka alam regardless of how backward it may seem. you wont know unless you have a high level of oneness with the soul. so my friends and i were already good typists by grade 6. and were Mr Curato's special boys during normal typing class haha. the school phased out the typewriters 2 years later. Mr C became a computer teacher...teaching typing. (and eventually went back to being a discipline officer)

this has to do with past tendencies.
example. my dad is a huge blamer. my sister was too. AKO din, before starting on the path. every time i look back, we were fruits of the tree.
so not only is this from past life tendencies, galing din family try. this is how the soul manifests its lessons. pumipili sya ng linya na babagay sa kanya.
#3 is almost the same as number 2 except that you create karma in the present life.
for example, wala kang X karma ever. then for some reason you did act X. karma will ripen in this life or the next.
so one of the purposes of all religion is character building (purification).
kung bata ka pa lang, tinuruan ka ng "never blame people for your mistakes" hindi mo na dadagdagan yung #2. and definitely #3. and your karma might soften or be complete disintegrated. depende pa din sa gravity.
as for X action. if wala kang negative karma for X action. AND tinuro sa iyo na its not right to do X action. you will not do it.
so your single action in this life, which is character building, balances whats in the past and in the future.
sometimes past actions can be complicated. and it is for this reason high clairvoyants are handy.
like this case i know which spans 3 generations at least. the healer had to look back, in order to know what kind of antidote to do.

i was once a very high person in ancient china. when i went to Beijing to live and work, the night after visiting the forbidden city. ginising ako early in the morning. and OMG ang dami nila. past subjects who used to serve me. many were happy to see me but the majory were very mad.
it was like waking up in the middle of a stadium.
so the first thing i did was to acknowledge those who were loyal to me. I thanked them for their loyalty and service. I cut the connections and set them free. free form their vows and obligations. (which is another topic in itself. past vows can affect the present life like vows of chastity, poverty,)
as for the rest of my subjects. it took us three days. we meditated. welll, i meditated and i shared the light brought down. we did a simple forgiveness exercise. i asked forgiveness. i gave forgiveness. the first night 50% went to the light. the second night about 40. the remaining on the third.
mabigat ang karma pag former high person ka in public. just look at what our politicians are doing now. the people you have wrong, everything,.... their weight will stand on your shoulder the next time you incarnate. sometimes when such happens. yung hindi mo inaasahan. divine blessing yun. kasi kung hindi ka pa deserving. naryan lang yan sa harap mo pero hindi mo makikita.. but the fact na nakita mo. and you were given the chance to rectify and balance. blessing yun. (ergo being a leader of many people. huge responsibility yun. you have to be saintly clean imho. everything in moderation type na saint hindi fanatic. and uber devoted)
so the take aways are
1. present is both past and future
2. character building.
3. forgiveness (from you to others and others to you)
4. in general, its hard to tell what the soul wants.
