^^I agree sis, remember last year may mga kabataan namatay sa isang concert sa Mall of Asia Arena dahil sa drug overdose. If I'm not mistaken Close-Up Summer event yun.

Quote
The volume of crimes in the Philippines dropped 31 percent in the first five months of President Rodrigo Duterte's presidency compared to the same period a year ago, authorities said.

The index crime volume declined to 55,391 in July-November 2016, from 81,064 a year ago, said the Philippine National Police's Crime Research Analysis Center.

as long as we know we are making intelligent choices and are not brainwashed by political propaganda, we can help our country become a better nation. sooner or later, we will see.

Ano ba yan move on na uy!

and ngayon yang INANG REYNA niyo,  iLEGALIZE ang DRUGS??? Can you imagine that?

Plueasse, we can feel the sincerity of what Duterte is talking about kahit nagmumura siya kasi may AKSYON.

But Duterte promised that he will solve crimes in the country within 6 months when he gets elected, didn't he?

From 2010 to 2015, Davao is the city with the highest murder rate in the country, and is at the fourth spot in the list of cities with highest index crimes.

and ngayon yang INANG REYNA niyo,  iLEGALIZE ang DRUGS??? Can you imagine that? Sino kayang matinong tao mag iisip nang ganyan?

Leni cited Portugal as an example, which was successful in rehabilitating its citizens. May actual basis.

That's exactly the issue.

What was decriminalized in Portugal? What is Duterte fighting for? Why compare the fight for drugs in Portugal to the Philippines???? Yes, Duterte promised a lot of things during the election..Department of OFW, Magjetski sa Philippine Shoal, Libreng edukasyon, babaan ang Tax, easier access for government offices, no corruption and marami pang iba. May napako bah? eto nalang, may nagawa ba? saang anggulo. Ask any local resident of Davao City about how they feel regarding the city?s overall safety and you will be met with beaming commentaries and testimonials about how Davao is perfectly safe and miraculously low in incidents of criminality.  Even yang New York Times noon at BBC At kahit sino pang napapunta sa Davao agreed that yes, Davao City is indeed quite safe compared to other areas in the Philippines,  feeling safe baga.

Anong aksyon ba ginawa nila?

on portugal, please do more research on it. successful in what way? bumaba daw yung addiction but siguro bumaba kasi hinde nari report dahil legal na sya. people missed to point out that portugal got an increase in drug related homicides since decriminalizing illegal drugs.

and let's be practical. imagine all these drug infested barangays in our country and all those addicts preying on innocent people. kanina lang sa cnn nakita ko isang raid operation, ginagamit daw ng mga pushers yung mga bata. imagine that! and imagine the protectors of these druglords, who could be businessmen and politicians, just enjoying the fruits of their "labors." i bet their children are enjoying the peaceful and glamorous life too. tapos sabihin nyo, lets move on and decriminalize shabu?! nakakagalit talaga sya.

see, if all these people in power support our president in his war against illegal drugs, baka nga natapos nato in 6 months. eh pano matatapos mga pnp chiefs, generals, congressmen, mayors, even barangay officials, are all involved in illegal drug industry. tapos idecriminalize?

But Duterte promised that he will solve crimes in the country within 6 months when he gets elected, didn't he?

Noong election pa lang alam ko hindi niya kaya ma solve agad yan pero I voted for him anyway. 40% drop in crime rate is a big achievement, magrereklamo pa ba ako.

From 2010 to 2015, Davao is the city with the highest murder rate in the country, and is at the fourth spot in the list of cities with highest index crimes.

I suggest you read this article: http://www.thinkingpinoy.net/2016/04/roxas-davao-city-oplan-lambat-sibat-doctor-statistics.html

At that time, In the PNP report covering a five-year period from 2010 to 2015, the city was ranked fourth in index crimes at 37,684 next to Cebu City with 38,797. The top two cities are Quezon City with 65,514 and Manila with 54,689.

While the PNP data simply reported the total number of crimes in the city for the past five years, it failed to report that the index crime rate has significantly decreased from 11,432 in 2013 to 6,545 in 2014 to 4,032 in 2015

http://mindanaodailymirror.com/pnp-report-crime-misleading-dcpo-15211/

"We do have a very high crime solution efficiency rate which means most of these crimes are solved," DCPO Spokesperson Police Chief Inspector Milgrace Driz told Mirror in an interview yesterday.

"The tranquility that we are experiencing in the city today is a result of the high crime solution efficiency which means while crimes are being committed in the city, these are being solved by the police," she said.

Ang importante we davaoenos feel safe in our city. Nagtatrabaho mga kapulisan namin. Visit us in Davao mapapansin niyo ang neneat ng kapulisan namin hindi haggard looking. ;)

Leni cited Portugal as an example, which was successful in rehabilitating its citizens. May actual basis.

Philippines is a 3rd world country unlike Portugal. May pera sila panggastos for rehabilitation. Pero didto sa atin sa Pilipinas, in order to use drugs, you have to sell drugs to others so that you can have drugs yourself, and that's what poor people do. Halos lahat ng drug users dito ay hindi lang gumagamit nag bebenta rin, and selling is a criminal offense. So do you think it would work for our situation here in pinas, where drug users, most of them, are also pushers and dealers?

Yang suggestion ni VP Leni our current admin is somehow doing it, walang criminal offense sumuko at sumurender ka lang. If decriminalising means reducing penalties then, we've already done it. 1M mahigit na yung sumuko ikinulong ba ang mga iyon di ba hindi naman?

That's exactly the issue.

So ganun ang logic?

Sus!
