I will be traveling to Japan next year and will be staying for 9 days. Sobrang kabado ko sa pagkuha ng visa kasi first time ko magtravel abroad after a long time. I was born and lived abroad for 13 years so ang travel history ko lang yung saudi to philippines pag nagvacation kami. After nun wala na puro local trips na lang.

So lalabas wala akong kahit anong travel history. Magstart nako magipon this January. 8k every month so by the time na magaapply na ko ng visa, hopefully may 80k na ko sa bank na maipapakita. stable din naman job ko. So anong chances na maapprove yung visa? May nabasa din kasi ko na post na pag first time female travelers malaki yung chance na madeny.

What will happen kapag ni-consume yung mga binili sa Don Quijote? Magbabayad ng Consumption Tax? Magkano yun? Saka sobrang hassle ba sa airport kapag nahuli na ni-consume yung mga binili?

Wala pa akong nakita na hinuli for opening items bought from Donki. Twice I opened items brought from Donki just to repack in luggage but didnt encounter any problems in customs. Then again, I dont really shop in Donki kasi minsan mas mahal pa than other stores.

@snix -- you can apply na 5 days around Kansai area ka lang muna pupunta, para less expensive. Re: being a woman -- i dont think it should be an issue.

^sis hi thanks sa reply. Manila to Nagoya kasi yung ticket na nakuha ko. Iniisip ko nga sana makita naman nila yung roundtrip ticket ko as proof na talaga namang babalik ako hehe

Yung shoes na binili dito sa Japan, na tax free, pwede na magamit?

Hi mga sisses. Already have a trip to Japan this May. First time to go out of the country. At kabado sa Visa application. Ano po ba ang chances na madeny ako? Kinakabahan talaga ako kasi wala pa tatak ang passport ko. Sa show money naman, for our 1-week trip, kaya ko naman magpakita ng at least P100k.

re tax and consumption .. based on experience last november 2017 ...

It was sooo damn cold in Osaka (due to the gale winds) that i had to buy a coat at Uniqlo. My brother told me i can apply for my purchase to be tax free (5k min) ... then after i purchased he told me i cant use it.  Since its cold, i used the jacket if i get asked, i'll pay na lang the tax. di ko kinaya yun lamig since i was wearing legging pants and the winds are soooo damn cold!

di naman strict sa customs. The jacket was no longer packed and is in my backpack. we did leave the receipts taped to the passport and the customs official just scanned it - they didnt ask to see the goods since our purchases were checked in.

Planning for our Japan trip on May 8 -11 , family of 4, we are considering to try air bnb instead of hotel near Tokyo station sana around nihonbashi area . May nakapagtry na po sa inyo?

Ayun hindi nga chineck sa airport kung may binili ka ba na tax free at kung ni-consume mo ba to, hehe. Panget din naman kasi mag seal ang donki e, need talaga alisin para maayos sa luggage.

Sa ipapasang statement of account sa Japan Embassy, okay lang kaya na bagong create lang yung account? Si boyfie kasi yung savings niya nilalagay niya sa bank account ng mother niya. E sabi ko kailangan nakapangalan sa kanya yung account. Possible bang madeny halimbawa mga Feb lang macreate yung savings account pero may laman mga 50k+ halimbawa tapos mga august kami magapply ng visa? Nov 12-19 yung travel date namin.

Hi! Any suggestion about private onsen for rent near tokyo? Di ko talaga keri sa public bath.   

Gumagawa pa ko ng iti kaya reserach research muna ako. Last week of May kami pupunta. Any suggestion kung worth pa rin ba na pumunta sa Lake Kawaguchi kasi mababa yung chance na makita Mt. Fuji. Gusto kasi namin na mag 1 day tour outside Tokyo.

Gaano po ba katraffic sa tokyo? Pinas level ba? 😁  We will be boarding the 1st airport limousine  bus from Disney Ambassador hotel going to Narita at around 7am..sabi sa website nasa 85 mins travel time but not guaranteed, im worried na magahol sa oras for our 11:55 am flight..if short sa time, option is taxi na lang, but how much kaya ang fare if ever?

Another question mga sis, ok lang ba magdala ng disposable spoon and fork, di ba rude sa locals?  We have 2 young kids kasi, they still dont know how to use chopsticks.

^Mahal ang taxi sa Tokyo. When I took the taxi from Roppongi area to Haneda airport, fare was between 6500 to 7000 yen for a 40 minute drive, two years ago.

Hi sis! You have to prove na babalik ka sa pilipinas and you wont be a TNT ( job, family). Of course, if kaya mo mag travel with your budget. Embassy requires at least $100 per day per pax.

You will make it to your flight sis. Narita and Disneyland is outside Tokyo na ( Tokyo in terms of traffic is not the same as pinas) so less traffic ( or none at all). Disneyland is in Chiba na ( same with narita), malapit lang. We took the bus from yokohama at 6:20 and made it to our 10am flight. Up to the dot sila when it comes to travel time, parang synchronized lahat. Hope this helps!

Hi.....I need help. Planning for 10 days trip.....I'm not sure how to do about it.  We plan to cover Tokyo, nara, kyoto, osaka and kobe pag may time.... My question is what is the proper or right place to go around it.....parang san yun dapat first and second places...and where kami mas ok mag stay/book ng hotel.... and which pass to get....

Tokyo - 4 days
Osaka - 3 days
Kyoto - 3 days

Pwede ba isingit ang day-tour to Nara?  Saan sya mas malapit? From Osaka ba?

^Yes you could do a day tour of Nara. Almost the same lang from Osaka or Kyoto. May train naman.
