just checked with Jetstar, osaka-tokyo, example november 9, around 6,470 YEN with 25KG baggage w/c is around 3K pesos lang =)

Hi mga sis we are visiting Japan on January for 10days, first time namin and we have a 2year old toddler. Maganda ba mag-visit ng ganitong month? We want to experience winter kasi (and snow if meron) saan location ba ang may snow para mapa-experience namin sa little boy ko. We plan to visit Osaka-Kyoto-Tokyo, saan area pinaka okay mag-stay ng mas matagal? Tia!

have not book yet, after pa mag approve ang visa chaka ako mag book ng flight, pansin ko nga sa mga sites na ang autumn sa japan is mostly mid to late november na.. plan ko pa naman na date is around nov8

hello @fallen_@ngeL! You're welcome! based on updates from friends who live in Tokyo, it seems it's not too cold yet and this will have an effect on the changing colours of the trees. Unless it becomes cold quickly, the burst of Autumn colours will possibly happen by end of November.

hi @Adam1025! I'll also be in Japan in January  . My husband and I already experienced Winter in Japan two years ago and it was lovely. What we learned about snow in the ff cities:
Osaka- rarely does it snow in this city but when it does, it melts as soon as it hits the ground
Kyoto - we experienced "snow fuzzies" when we were here. Its snows in this city but melts after a few hours.
Tokyo - this city can have snow falls or snow storms more often than Osaka and Kyoto.

The best place to experience snow would be in Hokkaido (but too far from Central Japan). An option is to go to a ski resort.

Hello, we went to Japan last March 2015 and we visited Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. But we went on a
sidetrip to Nikko to experience snow. Super lamig pa rin that time and ang kapal ng snow
pag akyat niyo dun sa may falls. There's a bus going there. nag zero centigrade bandang 4PM and
nag snow fall. That's March na ha, all the more kapag January. =) It's just few hours away from
Tokyo by train and kaya syang balikan. Leave Tokyo in the morning, you'll arrive before lunch,
then you can leave by 5pm or 6pm sa Nikko.

^^ May is quite late na for cherry blossoms in Tokyo. Normally it's mid-April and it doesn't last for more than two weeks or so (lalo na if humangin or umulan). There maybe a very slight chance dahil ang tagal ng summer this year (so medyo delayed yung fall, so baka ma-delay din ang spring?) pero I would not keep my hopes up.

If your travel dates are May talaga, you can maybe consider Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki. Medyo malayo from Tokyo pero around this time they have nemophilia and it's very very pretty din.

hi mga sis. my friend is going to japan (osaka and tokyo). ano kaya magandang ipasalubong sa akin (lol), beauty-wise, makeup-wise, and other useful stuff. not really a fan of keychains/paper/other similar paraphernalia na japan inspired. haha. a good lamp or something would be nice as well. thanksK!

thanks sa tips....so far ano cheapest rates na nakuha nyo na flight going to narita how much and what airlines and what month?,,,,,why kaya ganun sa jetstar tumingin ako yun start ng march 15 onward wala flight??..samantalang yun hongkong flight nila kahit june meron...

^ Sa Osaka sis meron sila . I got mine less than 5k for our trip last December. Waiting rin for promo fares rin to Japan for next year.

Ask lang ako opinion mga sis..we're planning to go to japan next year, around last week of march..2 adults and 2 kids na 6 and 3 y/o..our plan is to visit Tokyo first then transfer to osaka, bale 9 days max ang vacation sana..kaya ba to considering may 2 kids kami?  Worry ko yung transpo baka mahirapan daw kami accdg to brother in law who just got back from japan with his wife eh nahirapan daw sila..i checked japanican, may offer dun na parang guided transfer from tokyo to osaka via shinkansen kaso may kamahalan, but if it would save us the hassle eh willing naman kami to shell out money for that..o kakayanin ba kahit kami lang?  Di kami makadecide kasi initially sa singapore sana but because of zika, japan na lang..

^i think kaya naman sis basta may willpower ka at pasensya sa mga bata. shempre may tantrums sila pag pagod na. i got a package din from japanican with shinkansen tickets pero hindi sya guided. mura naman sya and sulit for us. paano yung guided sis? kasi samin dineliver lang yung package sa hotel namin, inside was the shinkansen tickets and hotel reservation sa tokyo.

^^ The Tokyo train system can be a bit overwhelming if it's your first time pero these days naman mas madami na English signage so it's manageable as long as you don't panic haha. Late March is peak season for tourists, though, so my advice would be to avoid traveling during rush hours (7-9am, 5-8pm) kasi it can get crazy.

^^^could be overseas-tourist friendly ang Tokyo these days but not that child-friendly. Some stations have lifts and escalators but not all platforms and exits; lalakad ka pa ng malayo just to go there lalo na kung ang station luma. Even after the rush hours there were times na masikip pa rin (mga tourists naman) and some salarymen and women will glare at you if you've got a stroller (umbrella stroller na nga dala namin). Just don't carry a big and heavy luggage if you can but good thing though may lockers din naman sa stations search niyo sa websites ng stations iyong locker map kasi nakakalito din. Hindi rin naman kasi parang MRT na konting akyat lang ang stations nila, even the small ones a bit confusing ang exits.

Matyaga naman kami kaso yung 3yo ko nagpapakarga pa, baka haggard na kami masyado kung masyadong malayong lakaran 😁 sa akin ang bagsak ng sisi if ever kasi hubby lets me research/ study everything from transpo, hotels, etc at sya lang bahala sa budget lol

Yung sa japanican, escorted intercity transit yung nakita ko sis...pick  up service from the hotel then a representative will escort hanggang station platform lang, di na pala kasama sa shinkansen then transfer sa osaka hotel na..nasa 32k jpy per person (?)..option ko if we wont avail this eh avail ko taikuhabin service para wala na kaming dalang luggage if ever...

^pag pagod na pagod na, taxi isn't too bad; estimate 1500 yen for 2 kms peak hours at night. 4 naman kayo hindi na siguro masama. Lagi ako noon may screenshot on my phone nang airbnb address namin in Japanese para pakita sa taxi driver. Pag may tantrums na iyong 6 year old niece ko that time nag-taxi na kami to the accommodation along with my other two teenagers na pamangkin kasi ka-stress pag nag-aaway na iyong tatlo.
