In general or in preparation for having a baby?

In general - husband and I traveled a lot before having a baby. I know we can still travel after having a baby but I think iba pag kayong dalawa lang. :)

In preparation for having a baby - be healthy, eat good food, exercise and take folic acid. I had a miscarriage on my first but we weren't trying at that stage so I wasn't prepared. After that, we realized it was time so I prepared my body and health. :) Currently 7 months pregnant. :)

I can say na I got pregnant at the right time. Early on sa relationship namin ng husband ko, back when we were still bf-gf, he was very vocal na gusto na nya magka baby. While ako naman yung hesitant pa at that point, which he understood. So feeling ko i was partially self actualized na when I got pregnant kasi nagawa ko na most of the things I wanted to do -- build my career, finish my masters, travel, etc.

In preparation naman to getting pregnant, I'd say that our pregnancy was not planned 100%. When we got engaged, dun ako nagstart magvisit sa OB ko. I found out I have PCOS so my goal then was to be PCOS free by the time we get married so pwede agad kami magbaby. 6 months before ng wedding namin I was PCOS free na, then we found out we were expecting 2 weeks before our wedding.

I used to be big. As in 61 kgs ako last year. Ang dami nagsasabi na mahihirapan daw ako mabuntis kasi ang taba taba ko. When we started planning for our wedding, nag salad diet ako and juicing every morning. And i weighed as low as 49 kgs.

1 month after our wedding pregnant na. I do not mind if there are things pa that we couldve done without the baby. Kung travel lang din.. eh di travel with the baby! Gusto ko na rin kasi talaga magkababy kaya kebs na kung di pa namin masyado nasulit ang times na kaming 2 pa lang.

I have been really conscious with my health even before getting pregnant. I was on a low carb diet plus I go to the gym 3x a week.

We got pregnant right after our wedding. I wouldn't say it wasn't planned pero our plan was to get pregnant during our honeymoon, 3 months after wedding. Plus, I filed a resignation after almost 12 years of straight work.

I guess I was physically and emotionally ready but mentally maybe I wasn't. I'm talking about the mental stress that pregnancy brings and all the changes in my life. Bigla ako naging homebody and home alone starting on my second trimester. So ayun lang. But it got me thinking how can I really prepare for that diba?

But my baby is the best thing that happened to us. And soon makikita na namen siya. Prayers really work. There maybe some bumps in my pregnancy journey but I trust God has His reasons and is in control of everything. 😀

- Set up our first home
- Traveled extensively kasi baka last chance na before baby (which we agreed on prior to the wedding) - Europe x2, Dubai, US, Japan
- Spent lots of time with family

To prepare for pregnancy:
- Resigned from a super stressful long working hrs job
- Lost weight
- Consistently adequate sleep (dati 4-5 hrs lang)
- Folic acid

~Matulog! Sulitin ang tulog grabe puyatan sa baby :)

Recently got married last April 2017, planning to start trying to conceive next year last quarter. Following this thread for inspiration. We don't want to rush into having a baby because we know it's not a joke, lalo na OFW kami ng Husband ko, kailangan lahat ng galaw kalkulado, para sa maternity leave schedule, airfare benefits, savings, etc. Gusto namin hanggat makakaya ihanda namin sarili namin mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially. Tho' kung dumating earlier (or later) we will embrace it with arms wide open of course. A baby is a blessing and a miracle.  :) Nasa stage din kami ngayon ng marital bliss, we are enjoying ourselves to the max para I guess mapagod at magsawa na din ng kusa and mag lay low ng walang what ifs and we wish we could've gone here or did that.

We traveled a lot before we got married (coz we were in a Long term relationship for 8 yrs) As in literally we have already visited all tourist spots in the PH.
We were able to travel abroad also.
We have a very active lifestyle din so it's not really a 'preparation' since it's been our way of living - jogging/hiking so I was able to conceive roughly 6 mos after our wedding. I can say I have done all the things I wanted to do before having a baby. :)
