Sis Adrienne28, i just got back from my ultrasound. And you're not alone. hehe. Grade 2 narin ang placenta ko @24 weeks. April 7 pa balik ko kay OB. so di ko pa matatanong ang mga gusto kong itanong. and syempre nagoogle din ako dahil paranoid ako hehe. Nabasa ko nga yang mga minention mo. Kain na lang tayo ng healthy, para hindi macompromise ang growth ni baby.


sis aNgelofThEMorning, ako madalas ang ultrasound ko kasi considered as high risk ang pregnancy ko. Nakakarami na kong ultrasound. hehe. Need ng monitoring. Kaya i don't think na irerequire nila ang ultrasound kung may negative effect sa baby. Pero pag hindi high risk, kahit 2 or 3 lang throughout the pregnancy, ok na. Yung ob ng friend ko, sabi sakanya, wag na magpa 3d/4d, mainit daw kasi yun. baka daw mastress ang baby. Kaya ako, i've decided na wag na magpa3d/4d. Don nalang ako sa necessary na ultrasound.

belle_v2g Actually hanap nga ako ng 2nd hand na co-sleeper. Actually meron naman available na bassinet dahil may sister in law, nauna siyang nanganak and may mga baby stuff sya. Kahit nga ang stroller pinapahiram nya na sa akin, kaso ayaw ko. hehe.. sabi ko kay hubby bili kami ng sa amin. Ang bibilhin namin na stroller, ang carrycot (0 - 6 months) na kasama sabi ng shop assistant it can be a travel cot na din. whatever the material, pwede daw matulog ang baby dun overnight. Uppababy ang brand na bibilhin namin. May mga carrycot daw na hindi pwede mag-stay ng matagal si baby.

aNgelofThEMorning  I read din yan na hindi nga maganda ang madaming ultrasound but every time i visit the hospital they scan me. Baka to make sure lang na everything is okay sa akin dahil i had a previous miscarriage. I have an officemate sabi nya 2 pa lang scan nya, 12 and 20 weeks. Hindi ko alam kung bakit magkaiba but iba hospital nya and 2nd child nya na ito.

Which is Witch? Good okay lahat result ng test mo pati OGTT!   Speaking of glucose test, I asked a nurse friend, hindi pala uso dito ang glucose test. Sabi nya makikita daw sa urine ang level ng sugar and normally ang mga obese, nag-gain ng sobrang weight and high risk lang ang may glucose test. Nabasa ko na ang gestational diabetes through glucose test lang nade-detect.  Anyway, kaya pala laging may urine test every time na pupunta ako sa hospital, part is to check the sugar. Ang lakas ko kase sa matamis this pregnancy so natakot ako sa diabetes.  Anyway, trust ko na lang ang hospital dito dahil im sure alam nila ang ginagawa nila and I am attending the national maternity hospital dito so expert sila sa baby care.

Kuwento ako mga sis, super OT ako kanina and 10pm na ako nakarating ng bahay. wala akong food except pancit canton so that was my dinner. Dahil na-guilty ako dahil bad ang noodles, i put spinach para may nutrition naman. Then i realised we have avocado and melon pala so i made a smoothie with chia seeds pa. ayan masaya na ako dahil at least may nutritious ako na kinain this evening.

the third quarter mommies are so active! i love reading everyone's updates - it's now part of my morning routine on my way to work

on ultrasounds, my husband doesn't like it either but it's already our doctor's sop since she's also a sonologist. i love it (guilty pleasure) because i can see our baby. although, my husband can' help himself but smile whenever he sees baby, especially when baby moves. i think getting ultrasounds at the hospital/clinic and one administered by your doctor or medically trained staff is okay because they know what they're doing.

on blood-related stuff, i just learned during this pregnancy that biological compatibility is also important. no wonder my bestfriends who are nurses all joked that they want a complete medical of their suitors before they date them! hope everything will be okay with you and your baby, sis which is witch!

 for my own genetic blood issue (having alpha thalassemia trait), our doctor has assured us it won't be a problem because my husband doesn't have it so baby will be fine.

sis shegie, glad you were still able to get a healthy meal! my motivation to eat healthy is also baby

sis adrienne, i'll try to share the birth plan and comprehensive breastfeeding sheet later tonight. we had korean lessons last night so i didn't have time to upload. i think my brother and sister in law were able to follow their birth plan but they live in the u.s. the part that i really want to follow is to only cut the cord when it stops pulsating. during our engaged encounter, they informed us that a lot of nutrients are still transferred to baby even after baby is born and studies have shown that cutting the cord later has significant health benefits for the baby.

shegie_285, thanks sis! baka nga ganun dyan, sa urine lang. and yes, trust mo nalang ang doctors kasi nga specialty nila yan, from the name of the hospital. hehe. I miss pancit canton! T_T hehe. tiis tiis na lang talaga. grabe naman work mo sis, ginabi ka ng bongga! pahinga pahinga ka din. Hehe. take care sis!

120515, ngayon ko lang din nalaman yang tungkol sa blood type na yan. hope everything will be fine. buti ok naman yung regarding sa alpha thalassemia. Sis question, nakapamili ka na ba ng gamit ni baby. San dyan madami at magandang mamili ng baby stuff? Punta dyan si hubby, baka sakaling may mabili sya. Hehe.  thanks sis!

Which is Witch - hi sis! nice to know OK results ng lab tests mo. Re blood typing, nagjoke din yung teacher ko noon about that. Sabi nya kami raw girls dapat piliin din blood type ng mapapangasawa namin, haha. Magiging OK yan sis, will pray na blood type mo makuha ni baby.

xadie - Hello sis! Today ang last day ko sa office, grabe pinag OT pa ako kahapon, 10pm na ako natapos sa work. Sinusulit ako ng boss ko. Minsan din sis masakit pempem ko lalo pag pagod or matagal naglakad or tumayo pero hindi naman sya maga saka parang nasa isang side lang yung sakit. Pinapahinga ko lang sis nawawala naman.

Adrienne - Haha! Same tayo sis, di rin ramdam sa labas yung movements ni baby kaya I'm looking forward na maramdaman na rin ni hubby yung pag hinahawakan nya tummy ko. Antay lang muna tayo ngayon hehe.

shegie - thanks sis! dami ko nakalist na questions for OB tomorrow. salamat sis pag share ng mga healthy options sa food. isa ang noodles sa favorite ko lately, panay nood ko kasi ng korean reality shows, tapos puro sila noodles kaya lagi akong natatakam. pag nababasa ko post mo,  nareremind ako na dapat kahit medyo bad yung food, samahan ng good, para balanced hehe.

Mga sis, nahiya naman ako sa timbang ko, 155lbs, haha! Last day ko today sa work, pero parang dami dami ko pa rin kailangan tapusin. Mga sis, pahingi naman ng tips re skin care. Nawalan ng glow ang face ko, as in facial wash lang gamit ko. Gumagamit ako dati ng HHN products pero iniisip ko kasi mas maselan ako pagdating sa scents ngayon eh. How about sa hair? Ang init init ngayon sa Pinas, gusto ko sana pa haircut man lang.. Bawal mag mukhang losyang, lol!

^ sis which is witch, mothercare is a great place to get mommy and baby stuff - it's where my friends shop. i believe there are outlets all over singapore so you can just do a quick google search. the baby fair at the expo is another great place to shop but it only happens once every quarter. i think the next one will be on april 29 to may 1. then you can also check out united square shopping mall - it's a mall dedicated to kid's stuff. vivocity also has some nice kid's stores but on the high end side

ilan weeks ka na sis? my baby is super likot, sometimes even without asking my hubby to put his hands over my tummy, minsan nakayakap lang ako sa kanya, nafifeel nya movements ni baby. ganun sya ka active. this one's more malikot than my eldest. grabe pagka hyper. even at 2am pag nagising ako, sasabay sya.

^according to my 19th week u/s, we're having another boy. in denial si hubby dahil girl ang gusto nya. haha! 29 weeks nako ngayon and di ako sure if they will ask me to have another u/s. para sana maconfirm ko gender before ako mag all out sa pagbili ng baby stuff. puro neutral colours nabibili ko kasi dahil ayaw namin naniwala sa sonologist. haha!

Omg! Dahil dyan binigyan mo kami ng pag asa hahaha! i love pink stuff talaga kaya gusto ko ng girl saka may 6 y/o boy na kami. Pero basta, healthy at normal, in the end kahit ano pa gender sabi nga nila.

sis aylatskie, nope, no need to pre-order. there are booths where you can browse through and buy stuff because we were so excited about our positive pregnancy test last january, we actually went to the baby fair and bought swaddlers and organic baby clothes. there were so many stalls and it was a bit overwhelming at first but then i resolved to just get clothes so i just went to specific stalls - but they do have everything - from baby toiletries to diapers to clothes to strollers to cribs

^sis! san banda yung baby fair? swak yung date sa punta ni hubby! hehe though wala naman siyang balak mamili ng marami dahil babayaran din ang baggage. hehe
