Just got back from Bangkok. For the first time in my many trips to BKK, didn't go to Paragon or Central World. Lol.
Travelled with a toddler in tow. We were there for 5 days, but 2 days nasa seminar husband ko so kami lang ng toddler nag-ikot for those 2 days. Big thanks to Uber for making our gala in bangkok convenient. We usually started around lunchtime na kasi my toddler needs her naps pa.
Kinda chill itinerary since nga i have a toddler. But here's what we did:
Day 1 - arrived at airport around lunchtime. Checked in, room-service late lunch, pahinga. Dinner sa Chocolate Ville. I reserved through their Facebook page. Place is nice and reasonably-priced din ang food. Went using Uber, then pabalik ng hotel we took the taxi.
Day 2 - We scheduled for a free class at Gymboree (i didn't want to totally disrupt my toddler's schedule so i wanted her to have her Gymboree day pa din). After the class, we spent more time pa sa play area. From Gymboree, went to Platinum Mall. We concentrated on the children's and women's sections lang (5th, 3rd, 2nd) since i know pagod na toddler ko. We took Uber to Gymboree, regular taxi from Gymboree to Platinum (as expected gusto kontrata, but i insisted on using meter. I would have walked kung walang kasamang toddler. But super-init, kaya opted for taxi instead), then Uber from Platinum to hotel.
Day 3 - On this day, I made my daughter try the Skytrain. We took Skytrain from Terminal21/Asok station to Victory Monument station. Had dessert at Swensen's in Century Mall then took tuktuk shuttle going to King Power Duty Free Downtown (i prefer doing my DF shopping here compared sa airport). From KP, took Uber to Mega Bangna mall for Ikea. Walked a bit around the mall, got small items from Ikea. Had dinner at their restaurant. Uber from Mega Bangna back to hotel.
Day 4 - my toddler had pretty tiring days prior so we decided to just chill in the hotel for most of the day. Went swimming at the hotel's pool after breakfast. Husband just went to nearby Family Mart for our semi-late lunch. Rest/nap in the afternoon then went to Ratchada Train Market for dinner. This is also called "Rod Fai 2", smaller version of Talat Rod Fai, but still LOTS of food stuff to try and large enough for the night market/tiangge fix. We got some pasalubong shopping done here. Even the nearby Esplanade mall has some tiangge stuff inside. And it's near city center so more convenient to go to. We took Uber to and from Esplanade.
Day 5 - went swimming again with my toddler after breakfast while husband finished packing up. Semi-late lunch at Terminal21 after check out, ikot ng konti, then took Uber to airport na. Still managed to buy few stuff at KP in the airport and picked up my items bought at KP downtown.
On our next trip, I plan on taking my toddler on a waterbus ride along Chao Phraya river. Then a trip to the zoo or safari, to get up close with and feed an elephant. Still so many things to do for my toddler, but I hope she also gets to appreciate and enjoy Bangkok like her parents.
