What is your theme?

Hi mga sisses! Our wedding is two months away. But I don't have a theme yet. Meron motif na cobalt blue and cream, but no theme. We are planning for a small wedding and we did specify that the attire is Filipiniana.

Is a theme necessary? How did you come up with your theme?

A theme is not necessary as long as the wedding elements would compliment each other.

During preps, we started out with a theme but ended up with an entirely different one (unplanned) haha!

nope, it's not really necessary at all...it's just a guide to help you plan your decors and stuff...since you've already prepped then you don't have to put in a theme anymore

Parang kasi hirap na hirap ako maging creative sa wedding ko  I've been reading here of other people's wedding preps and admire na admire ko yung mga kung ano ano naiisip na gawin for their weddings. Hirap kasi kung mag-isa ka talaga doing the legwork. My hubby is coming just a week weeks before the wedding, kaya kahit na we jointly decide on everything (actually he says yes to everything I like!) via Whatsapp and Facetime, parang di ako masyado motivated. It would be nice sana to have him with me doing these things. Now I miss him more

hi fantabulous, have you finalized the styling? you can definitely do a filipiniana wedding since you have already asked your guests to wear filipiniana. this is actually my coordinator's favorite theme and she's planning one in april so she has these really beautiful capiz lanterns for that wedding. why don't you bring in capiz to your decors? have some capiz lanterns hanging around then some capiz decors on the tables

Di naman need ang theme. Pero mas madali kasi ang planning pag may theme.

Like samin wala lang talaga nung una, now, travel na. So lahat may element ng travel kahit konti lang.

Basically themes help in putting things in perspective.  In your case sis, since you've already indicated what attire you want, then i think youre leaning towards Filipiniana theme.

Initially we thought of 80/90s since we and most of our guests are from these generation. But i don't want the kitschy style and color (neon!) that are identified with these.  Color I want is burnt orange and burlap, which are usually identified naman w rustic. 

So we've decided that music will be 80s/90s to create the vibe we want while venue will be mostly in orange and burlap texture. Invits/souvenirs/decors are cross of both.

Sa wedding namin walang theme and motiff. Pero gusto sana namin color coordinated pa rin.

wala rin kameng theme basta black & white lang ang decor and most ng details.

Ang theme naman namin ay fusion ng modern rustic & spring romance (goodluck dito HAHA:) Motif is coral, peach and seafoam green:)
