^ the gowns will be my gifts to my moh and secondary sponsors. i hope they'll use their gowns for other occasions since they're infinity dresses :-) ^
i did experience a case where the couple took back the gown because it was just rented. although, we were the first users so the gowns.

^ sis ill be shouldering the gowns for our ento also but we won't be getting them after. baka mahirapan din kaming ibenta kasi customized yung gowns.

once i attended a wedding as a bridesmaid na pinasoli samin yung gowns, it was a made to rent. okay lang din naman kasi sinabihan kami ni bride na kukunin niya talaga after the wedding. sa province yun so i only got to see the gown on the wedding day and left it there after.

Hi sis last december , i was a SS to one of my best mates and we chose the design of our gown and we got to keep it after :). For my wedding next year, ako ang sagot sa gows nila. And gift ko na sa kanila yung gowns and accessories. :)

^^^^as mentioned, we'd be shouldering our entou gowns and they'd keep it after the wedding.. On the other hand, if you wish to sell the entou gowns after the wedding, pwede din naman sis.. :) especially if super close mo yung entou mo, and if yung design ng gowns nila is yung medyo namimili ng occasion na pwede paggamitan.. You can ask them if pwede ibenta mo na lang since di din nila magagamit after the wedding.. If they're your close friends, they'd be happy na ibenta na nga lang.. :)

Sis astarte, kelangan talaga ng reality check and wed within one's means lang talaga. It would be nice if we'll have our dream suppliers pero ayaw namin ma-stress ni hubby. Kung anong meron, yun na. Nakakastress yung naghahagilap pa ng pambayad. hehe.

Sis yannuh, may nabasa ko somewhere na if you want to spend wisely on your wedding think of 3 major things that you can splurge. Other things pagkasyahin ang natira sa budget. I'm splurging on the venue, P/V and catering. Yung iba adjust na namin sa budget.

Hi charmed30, we're paying for all bridal party attire and they're keeping it -- I let the girls choose their own designs + colours so I'm hoping they'll be able to reuse the dresses.

yannuh, I think as long as you're happy with your choices and you haven't gone beyond your means, there's no reason to feel bad about what you're spending compared to other people. Everyone has different priorities and different budgets. :)

*sigh* we're a bit overbudget na  :o To think some of the big ticket items were already shouldered by my parents and my kuya, like the gown, bridal entourage outfits and the very expensive photobooth ??? (isa sa mga non negotiable ni fiance  :P !).  We do keep an excel file of all the projected and actual expenses.  Inisa isa namin ni fiance all the smaller details that maybe eating up the budget and found some items na we're not sure if justifiable, like the P14,000 additional for the upgrade to refillable iced tea. We also have allocated P10,000 for at least 150 bottles of alcohol. For the alcoholic drinks we might cut it in half since hindi naman lahat umiinom.

sa mga married sisses, by experience ba, worth it ba mag refillable drinks? May other option kame to go for 2 rounds of iced tea lang which will be cheaper pero nakaka dyahe naman na baka pag nag 3rd round ng iced tea yung guest singilin ng waiter ng bayad  ;D ;D any thoughts? :-)

^ samin din sis important ang refillable drinks kaya i made sure kasama to sa package when we booked our caterer. when the guests are already full and just watching the program, all that is actually left for them to do is drink.

Initial budget we set was P1.6M, we are now at 1.95M, but because fiance's mom volunteered to shoulder the food (she wanted to add 50 people kasi which is already 20% of our total guests, and the major reason why our budget ballooned), technically my fiance and I are still within budget. Mga 1.49M yung shouldered namin so pasok sya sa initial P1.6M budget. :)

Chili, we didn't include the rings or the honeymoon in the budget. So I guess my budget is madaya lol. I agree with you, though, rings are forever! We had ours custom made by the same jeweller who designed my engagement ring and we're super excited about them :D

I agree with investing in a good ring. It's forever after all, and you're only going to ever have one.
Masusulit naman yun dahil suot mo everyday :)

If people are willing to spend sooo much for the wedding, I don't get why they would scrimp on the ring and get something 10 or 20k just because there was a huge discount at a bridal fair, is there even a way of knowing if that's made of real gold?? Or if the diamonds in it are actually real? :o This is actually the reason why my fiance keeps me from getting our rings from the ring stalls during fairs. Minsan too cheap or too big a discount na kaduda-duda naman daw. Haha.

We haven't had ours made yet but it's likely going to be custom-made too from the same jeweler as my engagement ring. :)

^like you sis, other couples have their own reasons why they chose only "that" amount for the wedding ring..me and my husband are actually one of those couples. :)
For us, rings are not essential for love and marriage. The reason we adapted the culture of wearing a wedding ring is to show everyone that we are married..that we are committed to someone..coz it represents the vows we made during the wedding..and therefore, it need not be exorbitantly expensive if only we keep in our hearts the true meaning of these symbols..no one can put any price on a woman or a man or on the value of engagement or of marriage.
