DIY Wedding Part 11

Hi mga sis! Any idea saan makakabili ng mini wooden plates/wooden place card holders? We're planning to have a rustic/garden feel for our place cards and i-DIY lang din namin. Parang ganto:

Love the idea of putting moons and stars on the photobooth backdrop hehe so cool! Thanks so much for this! Yup, silver nga ang ribbons sa invites, tags. Pero yung stars sa flower girls, sad to say eh bawal mag shower ng petals or anything sa church as i walk down the aisle or even when we come out na after the wedding. No poppers. No rice. No petals. Wala daw helper to clean all those..

aaawwww! too bad they won't allow you to throw anything...hmmm...i guess your flower girls will just bring signs? like one will bring "it's written in the stars" and then another one can bring "here she comes"

will you have a dessert table? you can highlight it by using a silver-sequined cloth as the tablecloth. the type that's fully sequined. then the backdrop can be midnight blue cloth with silver/gold stars on it and you can hang a sign on it saying something like "love is sweet" or "out of this world love and desserts"

Hehe. i saw that in pinterest, "its written in the stars" banner as they hold on to the cloth. then mga star shaped na shades ang nasa photo booth. still gathering some DIY Stuffs for the booth pa hehe. kaka overwhelm sa dami ng ideas puno na ang list of 10 DIY things to do ko at isa palang nagawa ko - personalized menu for each table. Hahaha. Goodluck! 3 4 months to go! Katuwa ka sis Since january nagawa ka na DIY. Naisip ko kasi gawin muna lahat ng computer works then the printing would be easier na. haha! ambisyosa lang!

Sis SG based ka right? Do you think spotlight has some yarns na cheaper? makulay kasi dun kaysa sa Chinatown.  or sa Daiso lang talaga? Nabasa ko kasi sa Vivo city ka nakabili. Same lang ba laki ng mga daiso? Thought of Going to plaza sing later eh!  TIA!

maxim04, yup, i've been slowly making all my DIYs - currently stuck with my tissue paper pom poms since i have to make a lot; i want the ceiling to be covered with them 

i haven't been to spotlight but there's no harm checking it out though, i didn't buy yarn from daiso, i got my bells from there

my wedding will be in my hometown in negros  i use tissue paper and i got it from kin soon (it's a shop in the arab street area), they sell in bulk, 250 sheets for about $50...it should look like this: http://allthingsmamma.com/2012/01/pom-poms-my-new-love/

Can you suggest other stores where to buy those tissue papers?
Also, do you have any idea if ready made ones can be found in Divisoria?

hi pogi02, unfortunately, when it comes to places to buy supplies in manila, i really don't have any idea...i think you can check if they sell kits but so far, i found that kits can be expensive, i saw one for $5 just for 1 piece...i think you can check out paper supply or school supply stores, they should carry tissue paper

yup! i was really lucky that day, i only went to that shop to get flowers for my flower crown and additional ribbons then i found out that they also sold tissue paper, in bulk, in a wide range of colors - even gold, which i had such a hard time looking for.

^sis ang ganda! Anung theme mo? At grabe ha, what else is in arab street? Kala ko puro food don! Grabe ngayon ko lang nalaman na they sell stuffs pala! Hahaha! Cool naman! Is it the building opposite raffles hospital?mor the next street pa? Never been there sorry. Hahaha.

there are a lot of textile and sewing supply shops there. you have to go the main arab street area, near the mosque. the shops are all in a row.

Di kasi kami kukuha ng caterer kasi chef ang sister ko so sya na ang bahala sa food. Ang problem lang is walang mga gamit. Meron bang gumawa ng same dito? Thanks!

hi blueberry14, maybe you can choose a venue that can rent to you their tables and chairs. if not, i think you can check whether caterers will allow you to rent their tables and chairs.

^ naku sis where is the main arab street? From bugis lalakarin lang yun diba? Dun ba yung shooting dati ng KathNiel? Tama? hehe

hahaha! i don't know about the kathniel shoot

but yes, you can walk from bugis to arab street. it's the area with the small shophouses. and it's along north bridge road on one side. i think it's also called kampong glam if i recall correctly. when you get to raffles medical, you need to turn right then you'll see it. it's behind the building adjacent to raffles medical, i think.

hi girls. medyo off topic pero ask ko lang how to change the background of a certain image using MS Paint lang? Yung mabilis na paraan hehe. Ang nagoogle ko lang so far is manually trace the pic/background then fill it out using your desired background color. huhu. Thankie!:*
