Entourage and guest list questions

Hi angelholics, depende naman sayo yun. As for me kasi, my wedding's on June 6 na and I still have some entourage members na di pa nasusukatan. The couturier told me naman na as long as masukatan lahat by April 17 they'll be able to get their gowns by 3rd week May, so I don't mind. Tinatakot ko lang sila na if they delay pa wala na silang susuotin haha.

Hi ladies, I also have questions regarding entourage.

Would it be ok to include married people for groomsmen, bridesmaids and secondary sponsors?

Also, ok lang ba for a teenager to be one of the secondary sponsors?

Ang sagot sakin ng 2 abay: too early pa daw na 9 months before the wedding ay magpapakuha na ng measurements...un sa friend daw nya na inattendan 2-3months before the wedding saka daw sila nagpasukat and nakuha naman daw on time and to think daw na dec2014 ang kasal so peak season pa..

Sis, some of our entou members had their measurements taken 9 months before the wedding. Then one entou who is pregnant will only have her measurements taken 1 month before. Depende rin kasi yan sis sa gagawa ng gowns nila. You should ask the designer when the measurements should be taken then inform your entou.

Ang entou kailangan lang kulitin. Sa kakakulit ko sa kanila nicely, those pasaway eventually felt guilty and had their measurements taken. Haha! Not counting the preggy cousin, 5 months before the wedding ang last nagpasukat. Hehe.

My wedding's in early September and the deadline for entourage measurements is end of June, so that the dresses can be finished by late July/early August.

If i were part of the ento, 9 months is definitely way too early. Usually 2-3 months before lang ako nagpapagawa if ento. Mabilis lang din i-repair yun if may mali sa fit. Besides a lot of them mag-iinarte padin na magpapapayat muna sila and all, so not a good idea that the dress is made so much in advance if they really will lose weight. Ako nga bridal gown i'll probably come in 5-6 months before lang and i still find that early...
Of course we all want to plan ahead and get as much done as possible but i think this is one of the things na kailangan rin natin iconsider yung entourage.

For me, the lead time is okay because it's soooooo hard to ask the entou to have their measurements taken! It literally took months to have some of them go to the couturier. Only few early birds had theirs taken 9 months before the wedding. In any event, may fitting naman so the gowns can still be adjusted to fit them well

I'd say the safest would be 6 months otherwise masstress kayo like what happened to me just recently. 2 months na lang hindi pa nagpapasukat ang 2 abay. Instead kase na mabawasan ang burden sa couple, mas lalong nadadagdagan. Better if the entourage do their part din. At consider the couturier kase hindi lang ikaw ang client nila..

True that! Hindi pa rin ba nagpasukat remaining entou mo sis belle? Do what the others did... Threaten them na that the couturier won't be able to finish their gowns in time so bahala sila if they want a loose or super tight gown! (or worse, no gown at all!)

Nagpasukat na yung isa kahapon sis.. finally. Mum ko nagsukat sa kanya. Buti na lang my mum knows how to do the measuring.  isa na lang yung bagong panganak.. this friday sila magkita ng mom ko. Yay! !

i chilled a bit kasi after booking the major sponsors. kaso ang bilis ng panahon, 1 year na lang halos game over na!

^Ako 8 months to go, i know na who to get as sponsors and ento but have not yet asked all of them formally. I also have yet to book a designer for them. Ok lang, feeling ko lots of time pa... will book a designer in the next 2 months then those who want to go for early measurements and pagawa can do so as early as 6 months before.

I guess okay lang ito.. kasi may ganito kami hahaha. My maid (matron) of honor is married, a pair of secondary sponsors is married din.

Kung teenager okay lang din naman siguro, i've seen a lot of weddings na teenagers ang entou.

Re; sa pagpapasukat ng gown... I think 9 months is still too early. Yung sa kaibigan ko, December wedding sila last year, October na kami sinukatan. Final fitting was mid-november, and nakuha namin yung dress almost December na yata (dec 16 yung wedding). Ang ginawa ng friend ko is sa bahay nila lahat ang fitting. Nagset sya ng date na available lahat yung entourage pati kids. Then pinapunta nya sa bahay nila lahat including the mananahi. Lahat ng fitting namin ganun. Pati nung narelease yung gown sila din ang kumuha sa mananahi and sa bahay din nila pinapuntayung mga abay.

^ on married or teen abays, I think ok lang.   But be sure to ask your Church, meron kasi mahihigpit. mahirap na. kami yung bible bearer namin hindi bata, guy friend ni Hubby I asked our church beforehand and ok lang naman daw.

What I did was, I asked my couturier kung kelan kami dapat mag simula sa entou gowns. Sabi nya 6mos daw. So nagpa book ako ng appointment 6mos before our wedding. Then I told my entou to save that date. Ok naman lahat. Except for the overseas entou na di makakapunta- sabi ng couturier ko meron daw syang template of measurements na kailangan nila i-fill out.

So maybe you can do the same sis, ask your couturier first
