Mga sis, may nagrrange pa ba ng 20k na wedding gown sa Divi? Parang super mahal na ng mga gowns ngayon. Even mark Brides, parang they're around 30k na?

Hi sis! Paul made my gown. Fb find ko lang sya and sya pinakamababa quote saken so i took the risk. Sobrang bait ni Paul, madali kausap and will really go the extra mile. My dress is very simple lang, ako pumili ng design and nagawa naman nya how I wanted it. Sya din gumawa ng skirt ng entourage ko, sinend ko lang measurements nila kasi my entourage are all from the province kaya di na nagawanf magpasukat in person. Pero wala naman kami naging problema. I definitely would recommend him. He can also customize based on your budget.

Hello Girls! Just want to ask if pwedeng makita ang gawa ni Kisha and Mark Brides na gowns nyo? I'll be going to divi on Saturday to check on them. Kinakabahan ako mag divi gown because of all the horror stories I've read here. Pero nakakatempt kasi si Kisha quoted 25k for my peg. Wala ka namang makikitang ganon na gown sa mga designers diba. Ayoko talaga mag bayad ng mahal sa gown kasi super nakakahinayang. Yung dalawang sisters ko when they got married they got Gretchen Pichay and Mel Orlina. Eh ngayon after ng weddings nila, nasa room nalang naaalikabukan. Kamusta naman! Haha! And they both quoted me 80k for my peg. Super NO NO NO.

Anyways, we want to put focus sa food and venue styling not our clothes pero shempre yung maganda naman. Im considering bridehouse if hindi ako mag divi. They quoted 40k for my peg pero namamahalan pa din talaga ako. Hahahaha!

Thanks in advance. Here's my email, btw

Hi,

actually im a groom to be, pero dahil busy po si bride to be, baka po mabigyan nyo ako ng tip kung saan makakamura but good quality na customize gowns.

I read most of the recommendations like Kisha and Mark, Paul Manuel Collections, Mark Bride.

Can anyone here send me their gown pic so i can present it to my misis to be.

Hi Mga Sis,

Share ko lang yung experience ko with dealing Divi Supplier. I had my gown made last July 2015, hoping to get it October 2015. I got it not until November, only to find out na walang tumama sa lahat ng nirequest ko, sabi ko chinese collared, long sleeves , mermaid cut and spanish lace, specifically told them ayoko ng satin sa loob kasi makintab, also emailed her the pic of the peg that I wanted. Of course they say YES to all, quoted me 10K just for the gown itself, which is reasonable enough since all lace ang gusto ko. Come the day that it was delivered to me, i was really busy with work and other preps so after fitting the gown I paid her right away, I paid her eventhough I know it's not the gown i asked for. I tried to convince myself that this gown will do, that its not too bad. Pero hindi talaga kaya :(  what she gave was a gown na 3/4, turtle neck, spanish lace ( pero yung murang spanish lace, not the one I choose), then the worst part yung mermaid cut niya prang dinugtong lang yung sa babang part kasi me cut(crosswise), even yung buntot me cut lengthwise and the inner was a SATIN?!?!? a shiny SATIN!!!! it was really nakakadepress so I took some time off sa work para maasikaso ko since theyre in Divi. She agreed na ulitin but she wants me to pay additional for the material daw. para hindi na lang masayang una kong binayad I agreed. I returned the gown december, was scheduled to pick it up feb 20, it wasn't avail yet so she said that she will just deliver it for me at no additional charge which she did, all in all I paid 14,000 for the whole set, pero everything was ok na, the second gown was great! not perfect but great for the amount I paid it doesnt look like 14K, its the same as those I saw sa bridehouseph i can send you an email if you want, or will include link on this thread after the wedding, 2 more months!!

During the times na I was really feeling down kasi I only allotted 10K for the budget ng gown, tpos they messed up bigtime, a friend told me that she met someone na designer sa taytay and is willing to do my gown for 10K, same materials and everything I'm even more depressed!! I saw his creations kasi sa IG, they  were all truly beautiful. Ryan yung first anme , forgot his lastname.

moral of the lesson: only go to DIVI if its RTW, never the less stay away from them. its the same thing na sinabi sakin ng entou gown supplier ko na si camille( from cruella&co) sabi niya mas madami daw ang mangangatchong supplier sa divi compare sa mga matitino at quality talaga ang offer.

Hi sis imprincessfiona thanks for the photos! :) nagpunta ako sa divi with my sister last weekend and went to Princess Kisha. Ate Malou quoted 30k for my peg. Haha! Then Sarsi of Mark Brides quoted 35k. Parang okay na din kasi i tried asking from designers their quote ranges from 60 to 120k. Nakakaloka lang diba. Super price increase nila mark and kisha pero i think ok na ako sa kanila kasi nakikita ko ang designs nila and facebook pages. May mga nagtatag sa kanila na.super thankful cos maganda ang designs. I cant buy RTW cos im big framed. If ever lang na di ako pumayat for our wedding custom gown nalang talaga. Haha

Hi sis ice! Sorry to hear about your gown. Pede ba malaman sino yung gown supplier mo sa divi? I think kilala ko si Ryan. Ryan Saranggay ba yan? We used to go to him back when I was in HS for my prom gowns. We used to get him for special occasions din. Bigla nalang ayaw ng sisters and mom ko sa kanya kasi may times na di na nasusunod ang designs like yung entourage gowns ng sister ko and yung gowns namin during my grandparents golden wedding. Hehe! Pero diko tinry magtanong sa kanya ngayon kasi 2x na shang namali sa amin e. But he's good with corset gowns, btw :)

^^ or i think if you're going to choose a divi couturier make sure na you'll be the one who will buy for the materials that you're going to use para guaranteed na high quality talaga. I think they're works are pretty and stunning but you have to be HANDS ON TALAGA and make time to make sure na ok ang gawa nila kasi kapag binigay mo sa kanila ang buong tiwala mo like di mo babantayan or sisilipin once in a while or kakamustahin, they will just mess up big time.

hi Sis Gwenpiz, yes that the Ryan that I was referring to. he made the evening gowns for my friends hee sa office when we had a gala last december, all looked stunning. Anyways good din n you gave me a heads up :).
Btw my divi supplier is Vangie Sunga, pero yung shop niya kasi sa Divi pamangkin niyaor kapatid ata niya si Ate cecil, si Ate Cecil yung nakausap ko the entire time, she was nice naman, its just that nakakastress lang sa part na i was very clear, gave specific  instructions even sent pic of the peg that I want then lahat mali, I dont know if style nila yun or what but because of what happened natrauma si bf, ayaw na niya ng customized, he'd rather buy yung RTW sa mall, he doesn't even wanna go back to divi at all for whatever reason hahahaha. To be fair naman it wasn't a really good customer service or experience, I gave them more than enough time we started july then they gave the gown november, dun palang wrong na.  Would I recommend them, if you have enough time and willing to take risk, I'd say yes go with them, their quality of work is really good, kung tutukan mo. Mas ok if ikaw ang bibili ng material, labor lang sa kanila or if sila ang material make sure to get sample of the material that you chose to compare with the finish product ( thats what I did with the second try, the first time kasi nagtiwala ako). I can send you an email of the finish product and also send you copy of the first gown( horror!!!). Hahahaha. right now overall I'm still happy i think its still a good deal, I only paid roughly around 15K including the transpo going back and forth since naka2 ulit kami. My gown looks like one of those from bridehouseph worth 30-40K kasi lace yung amterial ng buong gown ko.

Perrooo Nakakatakot pa din ang mga experiences. I'll try to ask Ryan Saranggay nalang din. Baka sakaling ok na sha. Thanks sa inyo! Congrats sa mga kasal na and happy preps sa mga soon to be brides :) :)

Sis Gwen,
if budget conscious ka, Divi is the way to go, like i said in all fairness sa supplier ko, maganda yung result, will email you tomorrow the finish product. Siguro may fault din ako, masyado kong tiwala, maayos naman kausap si Ate Cecil, you just have to be really super spefici. Like kuha ka ng sample ng napagagreehan na material, hingi ka ng specific date when ang first fitting, magprint out ka at least 2 ng peg na gusto mo, wag i-email kelangan hawak na nila, kasi pag soft copy minsan di naman nila pinprint so nagrerely sa memory (patay tayo dun!).
I spent around 15K for a gown that looks like 30-40K. Even with Ryan I think he's good pero me little room parin of course for error, so we have to be very specific. One more thing, WAG MAGBAYAD NG BUO if you're not happy with the gown. Pagpray mo rin na i-guide ka ni God sa best supplier possible :). Ako yung second try pinagpray ko na lang na sana bestow ng wisdom yung tatahi hahaha para masayahan na ko sa result.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my experience with Paul Manuel, as I see some have been asking about him. I found out about him through this forum and was really interested in hiring him to make my wedding gown (I'm a 2017 bride), since so far most (if not all) feedback on him has been positive.

True to form, he was very pleasant and fun to chat with, and seems like a genuinely hardworking person. As it turns out, he works a full-time job and is still able to commit to designing on the side, which is very admirable. I had an initial meeting with him recently to get to know him and to see how he envisions my wedding gown based on the designs I showed him. I enjoyed that meeting with him and even my MOH and our best man, both of whom I invited along to the meeting, agreed. Just like what everyone else said here, Paul really values his relationships with clients and will go out of his way to please them. He strikes me as someone who does fashion design not because it's a profession/job, but as something he loves.

HOWEVER - this is where a concern came in, at least for me personally. I asked him for a copy of his contract after the first meeting so that I can look it over before I officially sign him on. He came prepared and gave it to me. We ended that meeting well with me being very clear that I was definitely going to get him to do my wedding gown, and would even recommend him to my entourage, who are having their dresses made separately.

Upon reviewing the contract, I noticed that it was very pro-designer. Not one clause there indicated any concern for client should things go wrong. Now, I wouldn't have minded as much if this was someone personally recommended by a friend, or if I had already been friends with Paul to begin wit, but this wasn't the case and I didn't really want to take the risk of signing a contract that I thought was quite one-sided.

Because I respect Paul and felt comfortable with him, I asked his permission to revise the contract with some of my comments and feedback, and for him to review it after to share his thoughts. He agreed and gave me a soft copy. I consulted with our best man, who has had experience in fashion design, and just added in some clauses concerning refunds/cancellations/action steps in certain situations wherein the dress gets compromised while in the hands of the designer. I then sent it to Paul, showing him where the revisions were made and asking him for his insights and how we can come to an agreeable arrangement.

I was surprised when he got back to me and seemed very uncomfortable that I made the contract more specific and detailed. Actually, he felt that the contract was too "meticulous". He defended his work and said that none of those scenarios (I only put in 2, one of which involved the dress suffering damage at the last minute while still under his care, and the other involving the designer not being able to submit the dress on the committed date) which I had detailed in the contract, had ever happened to him before and it seemed that he felt off that I would even suggest that it could happen. I gently explained to him that though this was the case, there is always a possibility in every project that things could go wrong and this is why having a contract is important. It's for the protection of both the designer and the client. I told him that it was not because I did not trust in his talent and his ability to do the job well. We ended with us agreeing that I would revise the contract based on his feedback, some of which I agreed with naman so I modified those clauses - and that he would review it again and see if the arrangement suits him better. It seemed though that he was still uncomfortable with this but I was hoping that he would really evaluate and think about it.

Since I emailed that revised contract, Paul became less consistent in communicating with me. Mailap na siya, compared to the first time we spoke wherein he would initiate and even volunteer helpful insights to me even before our first face-to-face meeting. I was the one who kept following him up for the next few days, and he would tell me that he was so busy and had no time to review the contract. Respecting his busyness, I told him that I would wait for his response.

After reminding him again today to give me his feedback because I'm hoping to finalize all my major suppliers this week, Paul texted me tonight saying that he had a client meeting yesterday and that because of this meeting, my wedding month is now booked (in his sched) so he will no longer be able to accommodate me. I just find this quite disappointing as I was expecting him to be more professional about this - meaning give me, as the client that he was dealing with first, the courtesy of being informed that he was about to be booked by another client, knowing that we were in the middle of negotiations and that I was very clear from the beginning that I wanted to get him. I sent the revised contract Friday night and he had the weekend to review it - and knowing that he had a client meeting the following Monday that could result in a booking, he should have read and responded to the contract I sent him.

I have no doubt that Paul loves what he does and that he would have done a great job on my dress, but I sense that he is the type of designer who treats this as a fun hobby that he is passionate about so he is not comfortable with contracts (the first time he handed me his contract, he said "chos lang 'yan"), especially when they become detailed and talk about his responsibility as a designer should he be unable to deliver the quality expected of him. I understand that he operates on relationships, but at the end of the day this remains to be, first and foremost, a business transaction, and so negotiating contracts (when necessary), being open to discussing them with a potential client, and not taking it personally, is a completely standard procedure.

If you are not particular with contracts, then I think you would have no problem working with Paul. He's a really really nice person. :) But if you're like me (I personally hold my suppliers accountable to doing their job well - which includes going through the process of ensuring the contents of legal documents are agreeable to both parties) I would say hold off, unless you have a friend who can personally vouch for his work. :) I don't take it against him that he declined to accommodate me as this is really his call - I just didn't appreciate how he responded to the process. :)

On that note, time to move on and look for another designer/mananahi... who can match Paul's unbeatable price for my dress!! Hahahaha. :)

^ Sis Bridechilla,

Sorry to hear bout that experience and thank you for sharing that . It's really helpful to have contracts, I would recommend you have specially when you're working with a supplier that no one would personally vouch for ( just like what happened to me). I totally agree that it's better have a contract than be sorry and waste your hard earned money. So for the future brides who doesn't have a gown supplier I highly recommend to get a contract that's very specific to save you from headaches.
