what is your favorite grocery / supermarket in the metro

hi!  saan ang pinaka paborito ninyo na grocery? Yung pinaka kumpleto sa ingredients sa mga niluluto niyo , sa baking at pangangailangan sa bahay?

Favorites ko are Landmark, Shopwise and S&R.  Mas kumpleto yung Landmark sa stuff na hinahanap ko especially sa food, and usually mas sulit siya kaysa sa Shopwise.  Sa S&R naman maganda maghanap ng imported stuff, ang dami nilang products that you can't find sa other supermarkets and malaki yung discounts kapag sale dun.

1. Savemore Acacia Estates - Maluwag at complete rin, dito na rin ako bumibili ng pamalengke.
2. Hypermarket
3. Market Market - Ok sana sa Market Market kasi complete pero mas mahal talaga sila compared sa SM. Yung Promil Gold na 1800 lang sa SM 1900 sa kanila. At saka madaming tao lalo na pag payday. Ang gusto ko lang din dito marami silang imported products na wala sa SM Supermarket

Minsan grabelang talaga yung tao sa Market MArket. Ang OA ng pila.

1. Landmark - mas mura ang formula milk dito compared to SM, Rob and C&C. Complete din to from imported to local stuff.
2. Cash and Carry - mas madalas kami dito since mas malapit sa house. Mas mura ang formula milk dito compared to SM and Rob. Fresh din meat, poultry at fish nila dito. Complete din dito, pwede ka pang bumili ng mga imported items sa 2nd floor
3. S&R - dito pinakamura ang diapers, lalo na pag sale yung mga imported stuff na di mo makikita sa regular groceries, meron dito.
4. Budget Lane Antipolo - dito ako madalas mag grocery nung nasa antipolo pa kami nag-iistay.

dami ko nang nalibot na groceries looking for pinakamurang diapers at formula milk hehe

Landmark Makati

complete in terms of what i buy, madaming choices.
i like that they have someone who unloads my carts for me so i can sit by the cashier and check if they are properly scanning items (na-biktima na ako sa SM dati).

Landmark Trinoma and Shopwise Libis - maraming items dito na wala sa SM Savemore and certain branches of SM Hypermarket

But among SM Hypermarkets na napuntahan ko, widest ang selection nung nasa SM North The Block.

SnR - only if the items are on sale

I would say Waltermart Makati (Pasong Tamo) for me.  Wide aisles, with decent selection of goods.

Least favorite is Shopwise Makati (also in Pasong Tamo). The worst run grocery in all of Metro Manila, IMO. Masikip, always crowded, with long long long lines because cashiers are never 100% full. Even if you shop here past 9PM, you are guaranteed to stand in line for 10 mins.

There are a couple of Rustan's that are actually closer to us (Gbelt 1, Alphaland Malugay), but they are all pretty small, and it's just too much hassle going to the grocery and not getting 2 items on your list, kaya we make the trip to Waltermart.

S&R and Cash and Carry are too far, but in the few times I've been there, they look pretty ok. But I don't have enough experience to say for sure.

Landmark also has a decent selection of goods, and aisles are not as bad as Rustan's/Shopwise, but it gets way too crowded for my liking.

Cash & Carry or Makati Supermarket ATC. cheaper kasi ang products nila dun na lagi namin binibili compared sa ibang groceries e.

S&R pero pag sale lang.

dati bet ko ang Metro (Market Market) kasi may mga imported selections din sila at saka marami silang deals like freebies or buy 1 free 1 packs kaso i think nun recession period lang yun promo na ganun hehe.

like ko din ang SM savemore/hypermarket kapag may mga SM Bonus bundle packs sila although lately napapansin ko pangit na yun bundle packs nila.

Cherry Foodarama sa Congressional Ave.

Mura talaga ang mga bilihin doon except sa meat. Tapos marami ring imported items na mura. Kaya lang ang dami lagi tao and ang haba ng pila sa sobrang dami ng namimili. Kaya umaga lagi kami namimili, kapag after lunch na kasi wala na, expect mo na na mahaba ang pila sa counter. Tipong 40 minutes ka pipila.

Puregold, SM supermarket, Ever , or kung sa Store naman namin sa Super 8 Caloocan city mura kasi and dami buy one take one :)
