Hi mga sis.. we are planning to get a family life insurance..i am going to pay it and syempre may dependents na need..since wala pa kami anak balak ko sana ilagay parents ko..hubby has a lovechild pero ayaw ko sana ilagay since ang dating sa akin mapupunta lang sa nanay ng bata ( for which has been so bad to me), in case... am i bad ba and so unfair? I dont want to feel this baka lang kasi out of galit lang tong feeling ko at the moment. Long term kasi ako mag iisip at minsan baka paranoid lang ako.. sabi ko sa kanya if he wanted his child to be included better get a separate insurance.. am i harsh? Please enlighten me.

Life insurance is really for the dependents.

I suggest you get your own life insurance whereby ang hubby mo ang beneficiary (assuming you are working).  Then as for your hubby, he get a life insurance as well, na ikaw naman ang beneficiary, that way protected kayo.

Hindi ba may 2nd beneficiary ang mga life insurance?  So in your case, 2nd beneficiary is your parents. Sya, puede yung child. Pero ang primary ay ikaw.

Tapos in case naman na nagpass away hubby mo (puera usog), since he feels obligated to support his child, hindi ba ito sayo ibibilin din? Kapag ito ginawa nya, pero hindi sya sure na susuportahan mo ang anak nya, better take nga a 2nd insurance plan just for the child. Or better yet, maybe an educational endowment would be better.

hi sis,

i think insurance company has policies regarding beneficiaries.  If you are single, the hierarchy would be your parents, then your siblings.  If you are married, it would be your husband then your child.  I don't think you are allowed naman to put other people's children as your beneficiaries unless you legally adopted your hubby's child.
