we live in the GTA actually.
during winter, much as I hate it, I join my family in some winter sports. Spring to summer we go nature tripping, biking, go to the cottage. I have been to quite a lot of places around Ontario specifically, pero compared to the places I have been to in the USA, in my opinion, there is a lot more to go to/to do and to see there as compared to here.

Kumusta ang buhay sa Quebec? May mga Pinoy ba dyan?
Akala ko talaga, bilingual French and English talaga lahat ng Canadians tulad ng mga pinsan ko. Pero hindi pala ano? Sa British side, english talaga. Sa Montreal, mostly bilingual tama ba? Sa Quebec kaya?
Dapat kasi pupunta ako mag-isa sa Old Quebec pero di ako pinayagan ng tita ko kasi di ako marunong mag-French

^kung sa old town ka pupunta may mga english speaking sa mga commercial establishments like resto, coffee shops Pero sa mga bus naku hindi ka basta makakuha ng marunong mag english na driver. Better mag kunin mo un bus na umiikot sa buong downtown Ng Qu?bec pang tourist un. May mga pinoy dito siempre dito hindi lang ganun kadami. Sa Montr?al dun nagkalat ang pinoy at maraming english speaking dun. Dito sa Qu?bec di nila masyadong promote ang english para hindi mawala native language nila which is good para sa akin nakaka survive naman Ang Qu?bec kahit hindi sila gumamit ng english. Very warm ang mga Qu?b?cois bihira ka makaka encounter na cold treatment most of the time hindi pure Qu?b?cois ang mga ganun. I love this City in between city and old time sya. Mahirap explain pero para sa akin gusto ko dito.

^I totally understand what you mean. Parang old village sa France pero may modern conveniences. Old world charm meets 21st century. May Korean soap opera nga na "Goblin" na may scenes dyan. I'm sure dadami ang tourists. Inggit ako.
Meron din akong mga kamag-anak sa Vancouver pero hindi pa sila nakakapunta sa Tita ko sa Montreal kasi ang mahal daw ng airfare to travel within Canada. Parang konti na lang, nakauwi ka na daw sa Pinas 
I also heard about the mosque shooting in Quebec. So sad. Lalo na dahil bihira daw ang violent crime dyan.
Para hindi ko ma-miss ang Montreal, I'm watching lots of quebec movies!
Paul a Quebec, Les Etres Chers, Xavier Dolan movies... Madami pala silang magandang movies!

^for the past 2 years zero crime dito. Meron man sobrang konti lang. About shooting 1st time nangyari dito kaya huge issue talaga. Kalimitan news kasi dito about economy, weather etc. Sa pinas kasi nasanay ako ang mga balita puro krimen.

Ano yung mga ginagawa nyo sa USA na wala sa Ontario?
I'm not really into sports or nature tripping but I've never exprienced winter, so if given the chance, I would love to try them out.

@Shadow Angel: I know and I sympathize with you all. Sigurado, yan ang di nyo na-miss sa Pilipinas.
Isa pang napansin ko sa Montreal, ang daming magagandang simbahan pero halos walang nagsisimba... except dun isang church na naging simbahan ng mga Pinoy. Yung Mission notre-dame de Philippines/ St. Thomas Apotre. Nakakatuwa na yung altar, Pinoy na ang design na parang may banig painting. Tapos yung misa, in Filipino rin.
In fact, nung naligaw ako, doon ako nagpunta para siguradong may Pinoy na tumulong sa akin.

^maraming simbahan dito na pang tourist attractions na lang. Marami rin kasi catholic pero not practice anymore ng religion.

Hi sis, i think okay na ang 3 days sa Vancouver, unless may iba kayong pupuntahan outside the area. But if you want to see Niagara Falls (included ba ito sa 3 days nyo in Canada?), nasa east side siya and nasa west side ang Vancouver.

Hi sis, 3 days in Vancouver lang to meet my tita and cousins and then Toronto na kami to see Niagara Falls. Initially planning a week stay in Canada then 2 weeks in USA.

There is just more places to go to, shopping is way better.
Each state has something good to offer. E.g. I like to go to aquariums, there is one in Camden, NJ, Mystic Conn, Boston Mass, etc. There's theme parks, Hershey Penn, Sesame st park, Wildwood, the theme parks at Florida, ect. Ontario has mostly lakes where I get can my vitamin SEA fix at Jersey.

^hi, yes, gusto ko ang Quebec pero hindi ako magaling mag-French at dun sa immigration website nila, pagpili pa lang ng province where you want to work, sorry, no available programs agad. 

Para on topic: I miss the maple trees and the maple cookies. Weird  lang na yung nasa supermarket, isang brand lang yung may totoong maple syrup. Yung brand na President's choice, artificial flavor lang. 
Tip ng tita ko, if you want to buy maple syrup, huwag sa tourist spots/airports na nasa fancy bottle. Bilhin nyo sa market,  in cans. Meron dito sa Rustan's na bote, P700 ang isa!

I also kinda regret buying my Canada souvenir shirts sa chinatown ng Montreal. Ang pangit ng tela, ang nipis! Mas ok pa sa airport yung naka-sale.

We're planning to go in September. We'll fly out from Vegas and arrive in Vancouver on 12th Sept.

Ok lang ba 3 days in Vancouver and 4 days in Toronto?

We don't have an itin yet except for Niagara Falls. I hope someone can help me with the must sees in both cities.

My family and I went to Old Quebec. Ang ganda. Puro lakad nga lang ginawa namin the whole day and just explored the whole city. Nakakatuwa tignan mga shops, the people, the structures, the history... everything about the place has a unique charm on its own. But I think mas magical at romantic doon pag fall/autumn ❤. With all the colorful trees everywhere. We'll definitely go back.

^^ if you have kids with you or like animals, you will enjoy Toronto zoo.
If you like theme parks, you can go to Canada's Wonderland.
You have to stay the whole day, the zoo and the theme park is big. There is also a light and sound show before closing at Wonderland.
 
If you stay at Niagara, go to Marineland. Eat at skylon tower or the buffet at Fallsview casino. The best view.

You can go on a walking tour of Toronto - go west on Bloor St to Yorkvile where trendy shops and restos abound. This street is where ROM is.

You can also just start at CN tower, next to it is Ripleys aquarium. Walk further south and you will reachn Harbourfront. Short walk from Harbourfront is the ferry dock to go to Centre island. At the island you can rent a bike, or take a peek at the nudist beach. There is an al fresco restauraunt on the island that a lot of people go to.

New Yorkers /Americans say that Toronto is just a bad/chaka version of New York City. Any violent reaction? lol.

^Probably...lol! But Canada's appeal is nature and wildlife, and not necessarily the urban places like Toronto. If you want that, the US has much to offer. So, you can check out the Parks and wildlife areas and national parks in Canada to experience Canada. Jasper and Banff National Parks are the places to check out. Ang mga Canadians kasi mas gusto mag-camping, to go hiking, fishing and ice fishing than to go out drinking in a pub on a nice weekend.

^^Toronto is  smaller than New York city, not necessarily chaka. Mas popular lang siguro ang New York city. I have been to both, and I find Toronto to be cleaner, the people generally more polite and helpful.

Canada offers a different type of touristy attractions than the US. Anyone going to Banff this year? Grabe ang booking. National parks are free though.
