Ako, hindi naman obsessed..I buy whitening products because I want to have even skin tone.  maputi na kase ako naturally kaso di talaga pantay..nilalagay ko yung mga products on those parts na darker. Sa face din kase I do have blemishes and I want them to look lighter

in fairness, ito ang personal conviction ko (i'm morena and i'm HOT! - tindi ng confidence! lol!). pero seriously, keber ako sa pagpapaputi. proud to be morena ang peg. hehe.

pero of course to each her own. so if pagpapaputi ang peg niyo, go! whatever makes us happy! ako muscle toning ang obsession ko ngayon. lol!

I know a morena girl, proud to be morena daw, loves her skin, etc. Pero pagnagselfie, Cam360 H-WHITENING lol and like lahat ng mga whitening shops sa FB!

I have two colleagues nga sabi nila sa akin, in my face, better yung morena, ek ek mas sexy,slimmer, exotic, foreigners want you,hot,hindi nakakasawa, kapag pumuti gumaganda (typical defensive statements kumbaga) and yet the girl later told us na she's undergoing gluta and spending 8k daw so she will whiten LOL wala naman difference sa skin niya (if you were there, you'd be convinced gluta doesnt work LOL)
and the other colleague? Ay natural, nagdye ng hair to make him (bakla kase) lighter +++ palagi tanong sa akin why my skin is white LMAO

and I've noticed dami, deep down grabe ang insecurity sa skin. sa picture, alam niyo ba na walang gusto magpicture next to me?

so I smile parin, knowing deep down, sila pa rin ang insecure.. bash lang just to make themselves feel better.

But at the end of the day,

spell hypocrite. hahahahaaha
In the end, they still want white skin, and I dont want theirs! :* iba talaga mentality ng mga tao.. sigh.

ako gusto ko pumuti ..well i mean napaparanoid lang ako kapag umiitim ako haha kasi yung forearms ko maitim ehh haha hindi pantay.. gusto ko yung parang maputlang puti tapos ang rorosy kapag mainit haha (mestiza ang peg) ganun ang mga gusto ko..haha feeling ko kasi may binabagayan talaga ang pagiging morena ehh..

Yes! I am guilty about this subject! hehe Ayaw na ayaw ko talaga na umitim kasi ang dami ng maitim dito sa Pilipinas.  That is why I hardly go out of the house para di ako maarawan and if I do go out, I always wear sunblock.  I have also tried to take oral gluta before which worked for a few months and I am also thinking about the iv gluta and the drip.   What do you guys suggest na ok na iv gluta or drip?

haha apir sis. paninira talaga yung "some" morenas..try to pull you down like "maganda lang dahil maputi" (che, parang as if maganda sila as morena?!) and in the end, gusto pumuti! LOL


and I super agree with @velvetdreams na BAGAYAN RIN ANG MORENA. Pweh, if you look Brazilian or you look like Ms. Venenzuela or super defined and chiseled features, maputi, or morena, ganda pa rin! (although in different cultures, they have a preference sa skin tone) The question is, do majority of morenas look like hot brazilians or are gifted with chiseled features?

Pero it's true na mas less nakakasawa yung morena nga super pretty vs maputi na super pretty. Why? Kase in our culture (majority of) the people think, whiter is prettier. So if you started as morena, you can only go up the beauty scale..but if you started as white, well..maintain lang yung ranking mo sa beauty scale..or dapat pumuti ka pa or dapat gumaganda (question is, ano pa ang ipaganda mo?)

But let's take things into another perspective..there is an old chinese saying, roughly translated as:

"One white can cover up a thousand ugly"

And it does have a point with our white obsessed culture.

But here's another side of the coin.

All flaws on your face are magnified (technically) if you have white skin. Pimples are more pronounced, bruises, blemishes..etc.

Wala naman sa kulay yan eh, kung maganda ka talaga then kahit maputi or morena ka pa madadala mo yun Just like you mga sis I feel annoyed whenever I hear or read someone's post on fb saying na kaya lang naging maganda is because of her white skin. I'm like "come on will you just accept the fact na maganda siya talaga?" lol Yung iba naman in denial, pero gumagamit din naman ng iba't ibang products para pumuti haha.

Hindi pa naman ako obsessed pero I just really like having fair skin. I don't think there's a problem with that tsaka pakialam ba nila eh pera ko naman yung ginagastos ko It's just a matter of perspective since sa ibang countries naman like America, they prefer having tanned skin. Basta ako mas gusto ko yung maputi para sa sarili ko though I can appreciate beauty whatever your skin tone is.
