^ Iba iba ng base carrier. Derm A and Stieva seems to sink in.

Retin A and Retacnyl parang merong slippy feeling on top of the skin. But it shouldn't matter that much kasi i-aapply lang naman sya kapag matutulog na.

^Yes, tretinoin is prescribed for anti-aging and can also help with whiteheads. If you're just starting out, start with the lowest dose - 0.025%. You can use Retin A or any of the other brands mentioned in this thread. Start using every 2 days and eventually increase usage to nightly use, to prevent irritation, etc.

^ Here you go: http://www.news-medical.net/health/Retinoic-Acid-What-is-Retinoic-Acid.aspx

Retinoic Acid -- "...also called ATRA, retinoic acid, tretinoin, and vitamin A acid."

"Matapang" would depend if your skin can handle it. Generally, people who are starting with tretinoin is prescribed to start with the lowest dose first, which is 0.025% although in some other countries, merong 0.001%.

If your skin can tolerate 0.05% you should be fine. Just space it out on your first few weeks and apply it as thinly as possible to avoid unnecessary irritation.

I am now using Tretinoin in gel form, ugh it is so hard to spread and use :(

Hi, where'd you get your gel-type tretinoin? Mas gusto ko kasi yung ganitong consistency kesa sa cream. TIA!

I only know two at Watsons:
1. Olay Regenerist Resurfacing Essence. It's 1.7k. Glycolic acid (AHA) listed 3rd or 4th in the ingredients list.
2. Maxi-Peel Exfoliationg Cream (not the solution). The main exfoliating/active ingredient in that cream is glycolic acid, way cheaper than Olay. Around 100 lang siguro.

There are also a few glycolic acid creams at Healthy Options but I'm not familiar with them.

Hello, ladies! Try nyo yung Lactacyd Blue. It cured my pimples. 2012 nung nagkapimples ako. Ang dami kong nagastos. Nag Roaccutane ako. No effect. Babalik lang din talaga sya. Morning, Night yan ang facial wash ko. Clindamycin toner sa gabi. yun lang. Try nyo please! Nag-OA lang din ako sa pimples ko dati. Not that worse sabi nung iba pero pakiramdam ko talaga na hindi normal yung paglabas nya. Dati kasi nagkakaron din ako ng pimples pero hindi ganun na parang everyday meron. Ngayon, back to my old skin na ako. Improved pa since rosy cheeks daw ako :) I swear to God na I will help people na may pimple problems. It affected my self confidence. Ayaw ko lumbas. Naiiyak nalang ako sa gabi. Kasi I have nice skin. I never had a problem with pimples. Last week, nakita ko yung pictures ko before na dinocument ko nung may pimple problem ako. Until now, naiyak pa rin ako nung nakita ko yung sarili ko before. Please try Lactacyd Blue. Give it a month.

^^ chemical exfoliant yung products with AHA. Overall texture improvement yung main use nya. I'm ok with just tretinoin, though :)

Ive been using tretinoin for many years. There have been times Ive gotten so tired of using it and I get swayed into buying expensive creams and serums. But honestly, nothing works as well as tretinoin. I also use it with Obagi. I always go back tp using tret.

The only thing i hate about tretinoin as that every now and then i still get flaky and peel. But when i stop using tretinoin for a long time my skin gets dull and my freckles start to come back.

Tretinoin beats all the other way more expensive creams out there. It just doesnt feel luxurious to apply hehe

^ Haha, I can relate to this.

Bumaba na ako to 0.025% -- for maintenance na lang, and to serve as my night cream.

Minsan lang kasi parang ang sarap gumamit ng something na mabango, or nasa maganda at mabigat na packaging, or ibang texture naman.

Pero I can't really get off of tretinoin. I don't need anything else with this product. It addresses all of my skin care needs: acne, premature aging, fine lines, ruddy skin texture.

^Haha Diba? You don't feel pampered at all when you use tretinoin. But really, after spending so much money trying expensive creams and serums I really now try to stick to medical or prescription skin care products. I find them to be more effective and beneficial than department store brands.

The best to partner with tretinoin is to alternate it with an alpha or beta hydroxy acid like salicylic acid or glycolic acid  =)

Thanks sis Rae! Maxipeel cream na muna bilhin ko. Baka effective naman.
