The Best BPO Company To Work In For First Timers

So I applied in IBEX Sucat last Saturday..aced all the exams (hindi po sa magmamayabang)..come final interview I was not qualified as I do not have any BPO experience..I have been working for call centers since 2010 but all are In-House and Australian accounts (dayshifts)..we don't really have metrics nor KPI's  and therefore I was honest enough to tell them that. Though they told me that amongst all the applicants that applied in their office since it opened, I was the best in terms of my communication skills and call handling etc considering I do not have a relevant BPO experience. I really thought I got the job but oh well   

They told me to gain at least 6 months BPO experience and re-apply there. Please help me find the Best BPO for starters..one that I will gain good experience, nice environment for newbies and won't be much of a culture shock hehe
I want sana either in Alabang or Makati coz I know there are hardly any dayshift accounts for BPOs (I live in the South). I saw in Jobstreet before na nag-hiring ng dayshift yung Convergys in Alabang..sayang, I should have applied there.

I am thinking of applying to the following companies:

Convergys (Alabang)
Teleperformance (sa Sucat. 50/50 ako dito. may malapit kasi sa amin nito kaya mejo parang gusto ko na mag-try just so that I gain the 6 months experience)
Sykes (Dayshift, sa Mandaluyong)
West Contact Solutions (Makati)

Hi sis

My friend na nilibot na lahat nf call center company sa isang company lang sya tumagal.

Eto mga pinang galingan nya in order.
1. Hinduja global solution (eastwood) - no experience pa sya that time tanggap agad sya magaling kasi,sya,mag english. Ok sweldo malaki pero hindi nagustuhan yung layo ng lugar lagi sya late haha so hindi sya naregular.

2. Sykes (gilmore) - ok din sweldo dito,ang ayaw nya lang yung metrics masyado mahigpit daw at yung mag sscrub pa. Basta term nila yun haha parang nag sasummarize pa ng mga ginawa mong calls sa buong araw. Which is trabaho daw dapat ng TL pero hindi nya ginagawa. Nag apply pala sya dito dahil dun sa 18k na signing bonus daw na nakalagay sa mga tarp. Hindi daw totoo. Kasi need mo pala ng perfect attendance for 3 months para makuha yun.

3. Convergys (makati) - Maganda yun company. Sikat. Nung first time nya mag apply dito wala pa syang experience hindi sya tinanggap. So nun nag apply sya ulit tinaggap na sya kasi dami na nya napuntahan. Things na nagpush sa kanya umalis dito is yung time ayaw nya na yun puyatan kumbaga sawa na sya. Then yunf metrics na may susundin ka pa na dapat ganito lang kaiksi yung calls mo blah blah. Tapos yung sweldo maliit lang kasi may parang moment sila na papauwiin na sila pag wala masyado calls mandatory yun bale bawas na sweldo mo nun. Panay ganun ginagawa nila. Alam ko hindi sya mandatory pero pinipilit sila ng TL nila kasi hindi sya pwede umuwi pag may mga agent pa sila. Ending nagresign sya.

4. Teletech (boni) - chat support lang sya dito which is gustong gusto nya. Ok yung sweldo sapat na daw para sa trabahong ginagawa nila. Kaso hindi sya naregular dahil panay late ang pasok kasi nya dito nun 2am. So patayan talaga.

5. West contacy services (makati) - bale nirefer lang sya dito nun dating kasamahan nya sa convergys. Dito na sya napirmi. Mag iisang taon na sya. Mga nagustuhan nya, nung nahire sya after 3 months hindi lang yun nagrefer ang nakakuha ng referral fee pati sya nakakuha. I think around 7k din yun. Tapos day shift sya (favorite part nya, kasi feeling nya office girl na rin sya). Mababait daw mga boss nya. Kasundo nga mga officemates nya ska sakto yumg sweldo plus may leaves sila.

Ayun sis. Sana nakatulong sayo haha haba nun pero infairness sana makatulong

Wow, so mukhang okay sa West. Actually may tumawag na sakin from that company this month.
The thing is, ang sama  ng communication skills ng iinterview sakin sa phone  as in sis yun bang nagstastammer, hindi diretso English (hindi naman po sa nagmamayabang po ha..) kaya parang na-turn off akong i-push through yung application ko dun. may nabasa din ako na feedback sa internet na ang sama daw ng application process but this was way back 2012 pa..not sure if nag-improve

nako sis kung okay na okay na siya dun considering madami na nga siyang naging experience, baka puwede niya ako i-refer!  makakakuha pa siya ng referral fee hehe! okay sakin location kasi Makati siya.    Maybe I should re-apply there then. By the way sis, BPO siya eh no?

Sure sis im gonna tell her.

Natawa nga ko dun eh kasi di ba usually yun mga nagrerefer lang nakakatanggap ng incentives pero sa kanila both sila nakakuha feeling bonus.


Tama ka dyan sis. Medyo waley ang mga hr nila dun hahaha pwera sa ano pero totoo barok sila tapos paulit ulit yung lines nila.

Convergys has a retirement benefit. Not sure but I think this is the only call center in the PH with one? I resigned after 10 years of employment so I could avail of it. Happy with the culture and career opportunities.

^ tried to apply sa Covergys.. But they only accept applicants with BPO experience at least 6mons.. Di naman kasi BPO talaga lahat ng call center experience ko.. Puro in-house

Been trying to apply sa dayshift nila.. Sa alabang.. But hindi ako kinokontak

Transcom accepts those who doesn't have any BPO experience as long as you'll pass the hiring process.

EGS or Expert Global Solutions also accepts fresh grads or those without BPO experience.

So does VXI, Stream and Sykes.

Hmm as far as I know they accept even fresh grads. Maybe it depends on the program.

Tingin ko isa yung tumawag sayo from Recruitment. (Hindi ko sinasabi na lahat ng Recruitment team sa ibang centers eh ganito ha)
Ganyan din kasi yung sa Recruitment dito sa Convergys.
Bali-baliko mag-English.
Hindi sila directly from Convergys, agency sila na ni-hire ng CVG for recruitment ng mga tao.


And totoo, may retirement bonus na dito kapag nag-stay ka ng minimum of 5 years. Not sure if it's Php50,000 or 100K

^ sis, share ko lang. The retirement benefit of cvg is based on your salary upon retiring. If you were hired prior to 2014, entitled ka na once mag-5 years ka. The computation is your base salary x 50% x 5 yrs. The rate increases every year til you reach your 10th yr wherein you will get your base salary x 100% x 10 yrs. My advice is to get as high a salary as you can by the time eligible na kayo for the benefit para sulit.

I have to say it's ePerformax. Kahit training takes about three months and what you get is allowance only (during my time that was in 2011, correct me if this has changed), it was fulfilling. Wala akong experience at all, so I learned a lot from the training. But the work was overwhelming to the point I realized I'm not a good fit for the job.

nabasa ko lang po ito since about IBEX. dun ko kasi plano mag apply. ganito pa rin kya sila ngayon? ayaw nila sa walang call center experience?

buti na lang nabasa ko to bago mag apply. balak ko kasi sa convergys pero dapat pala may work related experience na. try ko mag apply sa sykes.

how about accenture? ok ba dun mga sis. at tumatanggap ba sila ng fresh grad or wala pang experience?

may dayshift daw sa sykes. ok, po ba nag starting salary para sa fresh grad o wala pang experience? kasi mag re-rent pa ako. if hindi naman I'll go for their night shift
