JAUNDICE: How long does your little ones had this?

Hi everyone, reopening this thread. My son is almost 3 weeks old. During his first week na notice ng pedia na medyo madilaw sya, pedia asked yung type ng dugo namin ni hubby. Si hubby A+ ako eh O+ baka daw may imcompatability kaya jaundice si baby pero since same kami ng son ko blood type, ruled out na yun. Ngayon eh physiologicall jaundie daw, 3 weeks na si baby everyday sya napapaarawan pero meron pa din. Anyone experineced the same? gano katagal nawala jaundice ni baby nyo?

sabi din pala ng pedia baka daw sa breast milk ko din (mix feeding ako ng formula), pero sabi nya naman continue breastfeeding daw.

Nagka mild jaundice din 2 kids ko during their first month.  Paaraw lang and ensured na baby is getting enough milk.  After a month naging ok na.

My babies didn't have this. Yung eldest ko meron konti but did not require bili light. Pinaarawan lang namin.

Mga 2 weeks yun sa baby namin. We were a bit concerned na nga kasi parang ang red pa rin nya and pag pinipindot un skin nagiging yellow. Pero nawala din naman. Thank God!

My LO had this jaundice or paninilaw until 2 months old. After that ok na sya. Lagi tinitingnan ng pedia yung bilirubin level kung ok pa rin ba kasi dun naka-base if you really have to worry or not.

Just to share my experience, apparently hindi jaundice ang problema. nung first 3 weeks ni baby normal jaundice lang pero nung 6 weeks na sya medyo yellowish yung balat nya. since white na yung sa mata nya, everyone was telling me na walang problema pero ako as the mom feeling ko may mali. so yung doctor, ano anong test pinagawa kay baby. ilang blood test (kawawa talaga), ultrasound, urine ek ek... walang nakita. pero eventually ang problema pala allergies. allergic sya sa dairy - mix feeding kasi ako breast feed and supplement ng formula. ang hilig ko din mag fresh milk and cheese, so yun pala napupunta sa kanya and dun sa formula nya allergic pala sya. so ang daming test sa kanya, allergies pala hindi jaundice
