Me and my friend are going to Singapore in November (and I just learned that it's peak season in November! ) What hotel can you recommend na affordable but with own bathroom? I've looked at the suggestions here like Five Stones, but communal bath pala, we're looking for a place na may sariling bathroom sana. 2 lang naman kami ng friend ko. TIA

What about Fragrance Hotel? I was going to book that pero biglang ang kasama ko pala sa room eh VIP ng employer ko, so I had to switch hotels. Hehe. Ganda sana ng Fragrance Hotel Riverside, malapit sa MRT at mall.

sis m_lim, kahit saan namang hotel pag breakfast di ba kukunin room # nyo so alam nila kung ilan ang guest. babayaran nyo breakfast ni yaya or kung uber mahal, mcdo/KFC/BK na lang

m_lim, we stayed there last December and kaya to get a few pieces of pastries, jam, etc and bring to your room. We did it everyday and wala naman nakapansin. when we were there kasi super daming tao.

Stayed at ymca

Day1 chinatown, maxwell food center, ikea, anchorpoint mall
Day2 uss via boardwalk
Day3 zoo, ang mo kio hub mall, marina bay sands, helix bridge, makasuntra
Day4 plaza singapura

Very nakakapagod na iti. We used boardwalk rin instead of sentosa express, but pauwi, mrt na since free. Had fun rin sa uss. Nasakyan namin lahat ng gusto namin except crate adventure which i'm not sure kung maganda naman. Sadly hindi ko natikman ang lao ban beancurd. Just the 51 soybean which was not that smooth but delicious. Shopped at ikea rin. Wala na ako nabili sa c&k since less than php500 diff lang naman compare sa phils. Sadly hindi rin kami naka luge. Next time for sure. Thank you everyone!

^If I were you, stick to Chinatown or Clarke Quay area, medyo palabas na ng city ang Lavander and Kallang area. Magkatabi lang ang dalawang yan, both are 2 different places

^^Stayed at FiveStones. Loved my stay there. Siyempre, natulog lang naman kami dun. Pero very clean ang place, clean beds, may sarili kang locker, clean yung shower rooms (though communal), may heater, blowdrier for the hair , may few toilets (hindi siya cubicle-type, parang small room lang) per floor, may sariling lights per bed. Haven't tried the breakfast there though, pero usual naman, cereal, coffee and choco drink. Didn't really stay much at the common room, medyo masikip, but was able to use their free internet (oh btw, free wifi!) sa computer.

Pagbaba ng building, right in front of it is a bus stop--isang sakay lang going to VivoCity and Sentosa! Tapos may 7-Eleven din na katabi lang. If you want to go to the mall, 5-minute walk lang, tapos may MRT station pa (kaya madali ring bumalik sa hotel).

Walking distance rin naman yung Merlion (10 mins siguro). Tapos from Merlion, walking distance na rin ang ibang places. Pagdating sa Marina Bay Sands, hindi na siya walking distance sa sobrang sakit ng paa mo. LOL.

Mga sis from SG, what time nagco-close ang malls? Will be there for a conference kasi kaso 6pm magtatapos ang conference for all three days tapos sa Grand Copthorne pa. Hehe.

Yes Girlcrush may lao ban sa maxwell but it was close when we arrived. Around 5+ pm kami dumating on a thursday.

I have a few more questions in addition to the first one (na ilalagay ko na rin ulit hehe):

1) What time do the malls in Orchard Road close? Nakalagay sa na-search ko, 10pm?
2) Do Singapore taxis issue "receipts"?
3) I have free time when I arrive on Sunday, 3PM onwards. I will be coming from Havelock (sa Miramar ako mag-check-in). Ano kayang pwedeng gawin ng solo traveler? I've already been to USS many times. Is Gardens by the Bay okay puntahan mag-isa? What about the zoos, masyado bang expensive for a single tourist (since malayo)? This is just in case I will be done with my shopping from 12-1 sa H&M. Hehe. Otherwise, I think my best bet would be Sentosa so I can stopover VivoCity.
4) Yung GST refund ba dapat single receipt purchase? (Kunwari marami akong binili sa H&M tapos iba-ibang receipt siya, pwede pa rin?)

1. Upto 9.30 ang takashimaya, maybe depends which mall. Pag holiday season, till 11pm ang malls.

4. Sa example mo, dapat same day receipt at minimum of 100sgd ang purchase.
