Question ladies,  has anyone ever used a relative/friend who used to be an illegal alien (in the US) but turned into US Citizen as a contact person in the DS-160 form? What was your experience? Was your visa approved?

Sis Featherduster, Same questions lang din sa DS-160 whether employed ka sa company or self-employed.  Kung ano question dun yun din ask ng consul, meron lang konting follow up questions.  Like yung answer ko sa current work eh yung name ng business, the consul asked me how long na yung business.  Then how long na ako nagpractice ng profession ko prior to putting up the business in which she knows the answer dahil andun naman na sa DS-160 yung sagot dahil asked naman dun yung previous work and school.  No supporting documents were asked.

another question is, how do you answer the question "briefly describe your duties" on the form? Did you simply put your position at your business?

^ Just say what you really do.  I'm not sure if the consul already knows my background kasi i'm really not paying my taxes completely pero hindi narin talaga kami tinanong masyado.  We brought documents na hindi narin nabuksan.  If meron siguro kayo bank statements easier for them to give you a go.

^ok. Should I merely write my designation like "General Manager" or should I specifically write down my duties as general manager if I have a business?

^ In my case since nagwowork ako dun sa "briefly describe your duties" linagay ko kung ano ginagawa ko sa work ko. Inisa isa ko ilagay ko pero hindi naman masyado madami mga 5 bullets lang ata yun.

We just got our 10-year multiple entry visa this morning.  Thank you for all the help, guys!

Our appointment was at 8am and we finished around past 12nn.  Nakalimutan ata kami ng system nila kasi paubos na yung mga tao hindi pa lumalabas number namin hehe.  I just approached the ushers and asked kung bakit hindi pa kami tinatawag and she told us to line up sa window 10 kahit wala pa number namin.  Blessing in diguise na rin siguro because the consul didn't really ask a lot of questions.  In fact, isang tanong lang sa akin and the rest of the conversation were with my father and brothers. 

We were 6 -- my parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.  None of us minors, 3 of us have jobs while my other brother is taking up his masters.  My parents are both retired but own a business.  Most of the questions were directed at my father.

Consul: "why did you decide to go to the US this September?"

Consul: "who is ------(relative we declared in Ds-160)"

Then a few questions about my siblings' jobs and then konting chika with my father about our family business and then tapos na.  Super quick lang and very pleasant experience.

hello again! so i am finally in the scheduling step. paid online via bpi at 12:30pm.

sabi dito sa http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph:

If you pay online between 12:01 a.m. and 2:59 p.m., you can schedule "any time four hours later the same day."

so ngayon more than 4 hours na. i tried scheduling by putting the REFERENCE number but here's what appears:

"No valid record can be found for the entered receipt number. Please validate that your receipt number is correct and that you have paid the correct amount for the visa which you are applying for."

what am i doing wrong kaya?

is the reference number the receipt number? tama naman yata, kasi sabi "You must correctly enter the reference number when making your online bill payment at BPI's web site. This will also serve as your receipt number in booking your appointment."

mga sis, anong ginamit nyong number?

UPDATE: Gumana na Mukhang hindi 4 hours ang waiting. It seems 6 hours

I've sent and I already have the Confirmation Page of my form DS-160, is there any way I can print out the form i've submitted (not the confirmation page) so I can review my answers in the form also?

As far as I know sis once you've submitted your application, printed the DS160 and you closed it, you can no longer retrieve your form.  Unless hindi mo p sya na co close nung sinubmit mo na sya.

i'm inquiring for a friend of mine- her husband applied for a tourist visa last april and was approved. and he recently flew to new york to go on vacation. he is urging my friend ( the wife) and daughter to apply their tourist visa's.

my friend had unpaid credit cards and she is very much afraid she might get denied and madamay pa daughter nya.

when one files the online form [textspeak!] ba screening process nila? including yung mga financial stuff ba kasama??

^the only financial info that you disclose on your ds160 form is your salary/income. Nung nag apply ako they asked who's going to finance my trip and i said, myself lang. Yun lang, no other questions. I also have cc debt that time. Di na sya nag ask ng anything else.

my H1B visa got expired last June 30 and now pinaprocess na yung papers for renewal. USCIS granted +240 days since submitted na yung application for renewal so pwede parin ako magwork sa US. Umuwi ako for vacation last May 30 at para iprocess nadin yung renewal, pero matatagalan pa daw yung approval so ang worry ko di pa ko makabalik sa US until end of august, which means almost 3 months ako wala sa US pero nagwowork ako sa manila office ng US rate - magiging problem kaya to pagdating sa immigration? Kinakabahan ako baka iquestion yung matagal kong stay sa pinas tapos sumasahod padin ako sa US.

Thanks @simang! Apparently, same kami ni @Annie M. I hit the email button for that confirmation page three times pero walang email ako na natanggap Yung sa interview appointment page lang meron but for the DS-160 confirmation wala

Kasi sa birth cert ko is First Name + Mother's Surname
Tapos sa passport and all other docs ko First Name + Mother's Surname as Middle + Surname

Mga sis question po:

I fill up the DS-160 form and I finished all the form section questions.. nirereview ko nalang yung mga sagot ko; however, may nabasa ako sa isang visa application guide site na lahat ng visa form section questions na andun.. I wonder bakit I only filled up Present work/Education/Training and wala akong na fill up na Previous and Addtl Work/Education/Training section questions. Is it normal/okay?
