Dating a med student

Guys, share naman ng mga experience dating someone in med school?

Not me, but most of my friends since we're from a pre-med course.

Sorry if this response will be on the downside. Puro ganito kasi balita samin. Mahirap daw! Especially if one of you is not a med-student. Mahirap daw kasi one, mawawalan ng oras talaga sa isa't isa. Ibang "aral" kasi sila. Walang ginawa kundi magbasa. Their weekends are scheduled on studies. Second, lagi nila kasama ang isa't isa. Sila sila yung nagkaka-intidihan, mga kapwa med students - so yeah, maraming nagkaka-third party. Scary s***. Madami daw nag momol kahit may bf/gfs.

Balita/chismis lang naman samin ito. Ofcourse, may 20% parin na strong couples.

lalo na maging resident na 'yun.

unless strong willed yung partner mo, busy ka rin sa life mo or classmates kayo, very understanding and hindi ka demanding ng time, okay lang. Or if you're that determined to make it work.

But if you're willing to exert that much effort, go ahead basta super busy talaga yung medstudents, especially if SGD (group discussions) yung curriculum instead of the traditional one, heavy bonding talaga with their groups so hindi pwede sa selosong lalake.

I stopped dating a med student because of the lack of time and we're just not spending enough time with one another, I'm not patient enough and he is genuinely busy with school. Grabe up until 4am nag.study. And when he's free, I'm not or I just lost interest as the time went by Basta pahabol sa bonding na yung sembreak, xmas break and summer break especially if hindi pa 3rd year.

Ex bf ko na mismo nagsabi na nung seminar nila bago sila magstart sa med school. Sinabi daw na 80% daw hindi nagwwork ang relationships. Siya mismo ang patunay sa fact na yun. Kaya ex ko na siya 
yung sinabi ng ibang sis natin dito na merong nangyayaring 3rd party uu ganun nangyayari sa kanila, kahit hindi na med student

I suggest you date them when they're doctors nalang. Not during their med school life. If you want to avoid all the drama and to save yourself from all the overthinking that goes having your partner stay up late at someone else's condo - then wait a little later.

I have a friend na 5 years sila together then nag-break sila after the guy's first year at medschool. Nagiwan nalang sila ng "kung tayo talaga, tayo yan".

I think depende pa rin yan sa student. 
My sister is in her last year of med school.
And, she consistently dates other guys... she has time to attend all family gatherings and hang out with friends and still be on the top of her batch.

^ baka genius yung sister mo sis. exemption siya.

but "generally" mahirap siya. Or most non-medschool people have certain expectations na hindi ma meet ng med students.

Based on my personal experience, excuses lang yang mahirap ang aral nila dun :p

Nagegeneralize lang na ganyan nangyayari pag medstudents ang partner mo kasi nagrarason na lang medstudent gf o bf mo na super wala ng time or something. O kaya naman, nauunahan ng takot yung partner na nonmedstudent kaya nakikipagbreak na agad o nangangaliwa na agad kesyo no time daw partners nila.

Pero syempre nandun din yung sabi nyo, kung sino madalas o madaling kasama nila, dun sila na-fafall.

PS: ibang usapan kung demanding ang nonmedstudent partner na everyday and every minute sila magkatext ng medstudent partner nya. Hindi na fault ng medstudent yun try nyo samahan mag aral medstudent gf or bf nyo. O kaya laro kayo ng doctor-patient para may quality time kayo, mataas pa sya sa mga practicals

I've heard that there are circles that engage in sexual liaisons with their fellow classmates/med students due to the inconveniences of med school, rather than maintain a relationship with someone outside the field. Time wise and logistically, it makes a lot of sense.

However, regardless of his profession, if a guy really wants you, nothing can keep him away.
