hmm..far as a i know, if you are on the exit row, then your bag will need to be in the overhead compartment.

otherwise, it can be placed on the floor under the seat in front of you. just had an Airasia trip last week, international - and we're not on an exit row. so my backpack and my friend's shoulder bag are just placed on the floor under the seat in front of us.

when i took a PAL flight before na nasa exit row ako, had to place my handbag on the overhead compartment as well.

Aviation regulation kasi that there should be no obstruction on the exit rows.
