Baby's Immunization, MAHAL BA TALAGA?

Anyone here who didn't get their babies vaccinated? At what month do they start getting these vaccines? Natakot ako nung nabasa ko ito:

OPtional pala sa New Zealand at Australia yung vaccine. Not that I am nagtitipid or what, I can actually reimburse from our company insurance my baby's vaccine pero upon reading this, parang nagbago isip ko or siguro delay the vaccination to 9 months onwards kasi nakaaktakot yung SIDS. :/ (Lalo na may phobia ako sa Flu vaccine, inattack nya yung immune ng dad ko though it was a rare case, simula nun 2009 dna ko nagpa vaccinate ng anti-flu)

SIDS is widespread in the US but they never really pin-pointed the root cause of this infant mortality.  When compared to infant mortality rate over in Asia, SIDS is relatively lower.  One major point that they discovered is that, in the US they put the baby to sleep on their tummys, while most Asians, would let their baby sleep on their back.

Also, in the US the parents usually don't co-habit with the infant.  In any case that the infant moved its head it could smother itself on the pillow or the bedding since they're laying prone on their tummy.  Di kayang i-angat ng matagal ng baby ang ulo nila, pero kaya nilang i-move.

In Asia, especially here sa Pinas, co-habiting with your infant is the norm.

The vaccines are also scheduled in such a way to prevent the infant from contacting the disease before they even develop the immunity on it.

if the mother or father had gotten the disease in the course of their life before the mother's pregnancy, the child would have some trace of the immunity on the disease.

getting a vaccine would strengthen that immunity and would help the child create the anti-bodies needed to fight off the disease if in case he contacted it later on.

May mga ganyang pedia pala... Im lucky na our pedia is not like that... Bukod sa prescription pad na sinusulatan niya, sinusulatan din ang baby book, in details pa... Nung unang 5in1 shot ng baby ko sa pedia, nilagyan niya din ng sticker ang baby book...
Everytime na may concern ako sa baby ko, tinetext ko lang siya then nagrereply...
And bago kami pumunta sa hospital, tinatanong ko muna kung andun siya, if not she'll text back the time na babalik siya after ng rounds niya para hindi kami naghihintay ng matagal...
Hindi rin ganun kamahal ang PF, 200 lang... Ok din sa kanya kahit sa center na lang magpavaccine para makatipid...
And she's very open sa kahit anong itatanong... May 3 kids na kase siya kaya she really understands how parents feel.

medyo malayo pala... i live here in mandaluyong.. sayang.. hayy malapit na kong maloka kakahanap ng ibang pedia.. ganun pala talaga pag nanay ka na... mahirap lalong mag decide esp. pag kalusugan na ni baby nakasalalay... Sana makahanap na ko ng katulad ng pedia mo..

kami ni hubby dati every month nasa pedia to have our kid vaccinated. kaya nga si baby wala pang 1 year old traumatized na pano pag punta ng pedia laging turok or inom ng gamot. we stopped at 1.3 months i think. kasi sabi nung mga kapatid ni hubby na nurse okay na raw yun so ngayon di na kami bumibisita. healthy naman si baby

importante talaga vaccines wag tipirin si baby kasi kami nung months old pa lang sya di talaga sya nagtae tae e di maiwasan yung subo subo  kahit bantayan.

yung pedia naman nya medyo pricey ang shots pero okay natetext naman sya if kailangan e nag-log rin sa baby book so updated yung kay baby

5 in 1  and hepa - libre kasi sa center
pcv13 - 4,000
rotavirus (rotateq) - 2,500

yung wala sa center kayy pedia namen papagawa.. sayang naman kasi yung libre.. ang sakit kaya sa bulsa ng mga vaccines ngayon

Hi mga sis.

Mahal talaga mga vaccines ngayon. Ang pinakamahal na vaccine ng baby ko ay Prevenor worth P5,000 twice yun and that was in 2011 pa.

Lahat ng vaccines, inavail namin except for oral rota. Sabi kasi ni doc optional lang yun tsaka basta ingat lang sa pagkain sa labas.

Dalawa pedia ng baby ko, yung isa since birth sya lahat nag-vaccine kay baby. Yung isang pedia naman, check-up lang kay baby. mahirap kasing hagilapin yung unang pedia.

6 years ago with my firstborn, lahat ng vaccines nya sa Center lang. Sa Marikina. Walang bayad. Wala namang issue.
Hello CS na nga ko tapos single parent pa, wala na ko budget for that. So Im very thankful sa libreng vaccines sa center  😊
