Thanks Doc letlet sa pag reply. Yes, he's enrolled in a progressive school though learning center lang sya na malapit dito sa house. Sabi ni t.fredd nung pang 4th sesh namin, kung gusto daw ba namin na isama sya sa isang kid na nag OT din. so bali, may week na may kasama sya sa sesh para makita kung pano sya maki tungo sa ibang kids. Yes, pinapakita rin ni teacher kung anong ginawa nila and meron din kaming notebook na dun nya sinulat yung mga naging activities nila.. yung unang assessment namin, inobserve nya son ko and interview nya kami and sinabi namin yung mga concern namin..every end of the sesh may consultation kami.he says na, yung anak ko daw is yung isa sa mga madaling pasunurin na student nya..kaso lang sabi ko nga bakit sa sa amin hindi nya makuhang sumunod..according to him, sa mga upcoming session nila is sasama kami ni hubby sa loob para ma observe nya kung pano kami mag discipline sa bata..

It seems that your OT is on the right track. Dyad or triad sessions (yung may kasama ang anak mo sa session) would be helpful to see how he works with other kids. The OT would be able to see if he is disruptive or cooperative. Also, important din ma-address ang frustration tolerance ng anak mo with regards to tasks.
As to how he can be compliant at home, maybe you can ask the OT kung paano niya pinapasunod ang anak mo sa tasks nila. May reward system ba silang finafollow?
How many classmates does he have? Sanay ba ang teachers sa learning center na maghandle ng kids na malikot or with special needs? Ilang ang teachers nila sa loob ng classroom? May nakatutok ba sa kanyang teacher during their class activities?

hi mga mommies ngayon na uli active sa GT,tanong ko lang po sa mga mommies na na adhd na mga babies kung sa regular classes po din sila?o kung meron din progressive school?ang baby ko po kasi grade 2 na sa regular school at marami syang tantrums sa class.ayaw magsulat,ayaw makipagcooperate.I cannot afford shadow teacher so we insist tutorial na lang sa bahay.ang problema kasi pag may exam di nya kayang sagutan in short mali lahat pero pag one in one sila nang tutor nya nakakasagot naman.baket po ganun?on meds pa po pala sya sa province po kami so shinishipment po ang gamot para sa isang buwan nya.tia!God bless sa mga babies natin!

hello sa inyo.. bago lang po ako dito.. worried ako sa anak ko kase talagang extreme sya sa class nila. nagpa sked na ako kay dra villadolid para mai asses ang anak ko. sinubukan ko na din syang ipa evaluate sa therapist para sana ma theraphy na behavior nya. may chance ba naging ok anak ko sa skul. plano ko syang ilipat ng skul nxt yr. nasa regular skul kase anak ko ngaun. tingin ko hindi nila ganung ka ok makakayang i handle ang anak ko kase nga kakaiba sya sa mga classmates nya. 5yr old na anak ko, gusto naman nyang mag skul everyday. may mood swings. pag ayaw mag exam ayaw. minsan naman nag eexam ayaw naman gumawa ng activity. adhd ang tingin ng pedia nya kaya nirefer kami sa devped. nagwoworry ako.. magiging ok dn ba ang anak ko?

^ sis 1st time ba nya mag school?

it is really best na macheck ng dev ped and whatever the dev ped recommends, ifollow nalang. Early intervention pa din ang best way to address Developmental issues.

oo izabelle.. esa january oa sya matitingnan ng devped. pumapasok pa sya ngaun. hindi naman sya nanggugulo sa class. pinapa theraphy ko behavior nya ngaun habang hinihintay namin yung devped nya.

hi ask ko lang kasi si LO is just 1 year old at super hyper...lakad ng lakad hindi siya masyado malaro ng toys niya lakad lang ng lakad at pag nahawak ng toys saglit lang sa kanya ayaw na niya. Possible kaya na may ADHD siya?

^ Were you able to bring up your concern with your pedia? At 1 y.o, the child is naturally curious about his or her surroundings and likes to explore. How is your child when it comes to commands/requests? Can he or she follow commands? How is the speech? Interaction with you and other family members? Exposure to TV and gadgets?
Best pa rin to bring up your concerns with your pedia so she can assess if there is a need to refer you to a developmental pediatrician so that early intervention can be instituted.

my son's school referred us to see a dev psychologist for my 4-year old. for possible adhd daw since hyper active ang anak ko, ayaw umupo at lagging takbo ng takbo sa classroom to the point na nakakasakit na siya minsan ng mga classmates, teachers, and himself.

I finished psychology in college so may konting background naman ako what adhd means. medyo hesistant ako ipacheck pa siya since too young pa. tsaka in my opinion, I think he's just being a kid and over exposed lang sa tv/gadgets. this is why we decided na magresign muna ako para matutukan yung son ko. so far nakikita naman ng iba na medyo nagmemellow na siya. di ko pa napapatigil sa tv/gadgets since nasanay na siya eh pero nacut na in half yung viewing time niya. we do activities na minimal yung kilos like reading, coloring, baking, watering the plants. so far nagwowork naman but I still called yung dev psych an nirefer ng school niya. too young pa daw para sa kanila and dapat daw sa dev pedia talaga. will call one na binigay din ng school kapag di nagtuloy tuloy yung improvement sa anak ko.

yung daughter ko ay turnong 7 na this oct. nung nag post ako dito 3.5 yrs old palang siya .. nagong okey naman siya .. pero simula nung ng school siya nag iba na .. grumabe na siya. sabi ng teacher niya tayo ng tayo at hindi mapigilan nursery siya nun .. ngaun na kinder 1 siya mas grabe hindi na siya mapaupo .. hindi niya din natatapos ang activity niya sa books niya pero magaling siya sa klase kasama siya sa top. ang reklamo ng teacher hindi masuway.. hindi maupo, tayo ng tayo, at maingay .. hindi siya pwede na may katabi .. last yr. sinabi ng pedia na may sign siya ng ADHD nakikita niya . kaya inaadvice niya samin na ipatingin siya sa dev. pedia.
hindi ko na maintindihan ang eldest ko. magaling siya gumawa ng kwento, parang matanda na siya magsalita, madali siyang makatanda kahit naririnig niya lang, magaling din siya mag sinungaling natuturuan niya pa ng kabulastugan yung kapatid niya hays nakakaloka!

I suggest that you ask your pedia for a dev ped referral already since it takes months to get seen. Sa School entry talaga madalas lumalabas ang symptoms ng ADHD. You can ask your child's teacher to answer the ADHD teacher questionnaire:

How can I convince my sister to have her son checked by a dev ped again? Nung 4 yrs old kasi yung nephew ko, na-convince na namin siya na ipa-check, ang sabi samen nun too early to diagnose nga kasi pwedeng makulit lang talaga siya. She was adviced na pa-therapy nalang muna and be consistent on sa disclipining her child. Dun na kami nahirapan, and hindi rin niya pina-therapy kasi mahal. Now that he's 7 yrs old, walang nabago sa behavior niya. Its getting worse. At home, sobrang hyper niya. He plays with other kids dito sa lugar namin pero madalas laging may sumbong na nanuntok siya, nanulak, nandura, etc. Mahirap din kunin attention niya lalo na kapag nanonood ng tv, naglalaro ng ipad, or basta kapag may ginagawa siya. Nakaka-ilang tawag ka or kelangan sumigaw to get his attention, which I know is wrong pero we're running out of options. At school, laging pinapatawag ng teacher kasi habang nag-eexam siya tayo ng tayo at ginugulo niya classmates niya. Nangunguha din siya ng pencil ng classmate niya pero sinasabi niya binibigay daw sa kanya. He lies din, sinasabi niya sa parents niya na sinasaktan siya ng yaya niya kahit nakikita naman namin na siya ang nananakit. Ang hirap na niya ma-control but her mother insists na the last check up was negative daw and pwede naman daw siguro na makulit anak niya kasi ganun din daw siya nung bata siya. What are the repercussions ba if left untreated ang ADHD? Nakakapagod na kasi sa bahay, mas madalas kasi namin kasama ang nephew ko unlike his parents.

^ Who gets to talk to the teacher when he does something wrong? What are the recommendations of the teachers? Meron ba sa kanilang nagrecommend na patingnan siya ulit sa dev ped? Better kasi if the recommendation comes from his teachers given your nephew's age.
Wala bang sinet na follow up ang dev ped after the 1st consult? Usually kasi meron follow up yan to see if his behavior improved.
How does your sister discipline him? Pareho ba kayo ng way of disciplining him?
Pwede rin kasi na all of you sit down and talk to your sister so you can voice out your concerns. Tell her nahihirapan kayo to control him and ask her how she thinks you can help her son (since she thinks it is just because he is makulit) when she is not there.

It is always best (IMO) to have a child check by a dev ped kung may nakikita na ang parent na mali sa anak nila. Kahit sobrang mild lang or what, ipacheck ang bata. And whatever the dev ped suggests, as much as possible follow it. Kahit mahal, gawan ng paraan.

Mahirap kapag ang bata tumanda tapos hindi napatherapy, mas malaking problema.

We know someone na 6years old na wala pa nasasabi na matinong salita, tapos ngayon palang papatherapy, nanigas na daw panga nung bata.


Time is of the essence sa ganitong bagay. Ewan ko, pero I will not take the risk pagdating sa ganito. Sometimes kasi, ang tingin ng iba, kusa mag iimprove ang bata and yung iba late bloomers lang. well possible naman pero what if kailangan talaga ng help ng bata?

Walang mawawala kung magpapacheck up at magpapatherapy. Magastos oo pero magbebenefit ng sobrang ang bata.


My daughter was diagnosed with developmental delays when she was 2yrs old. Now she is 4yrs old and at par na lahat ng developments nya sa age nya. Under therapy pa din sya to improve her speech pa (more on articulation) and her behavior. Medyo makulit pa din kasi.

Paano ninyo finile sa office yung additional exemption? kasi nabasa ko



A married individual is entitled to a basic personal exemption equivalent to P50,000 under Republic Act No. 9504. If the married individual has a child or has children with disability, who is/are dependent on him/her for support, he/she shall be entitled to an additional exemption of P25,000 per qualified dependent (not exceeding four).

A married individual is not entitled to the above additional exemption if he/she takes care of a person with disability who is not his/her child, unless he/she legally adopts the same.

Read Republic Act No. 9504, amending sections 22, 24, 34, 35, 51, and 79 of Republic Act No. 8424, as amended, otherwise known as the National Internal Revenue Code of 1997.

^ therapy for OT and Speech - around 600 to 1200 (each) per session (1hr). Kung ilan beses sa isang week, depende sa sasabihin ng dev ped.

Consultation/check up sa dev ped - around 3500 to 5k.

I know may mas mahal pa/or mas mura sa figures na binigay ko, based on experience ko lang yan.
