Just an update to hizons brides. I talked to my ae and told her our concerns and in fairness to her our conversation went well. We told her that we want a revision of our final food tasting which was done last month and ok naman sa kanya, maybe because si fiance na ang nakipag usap sa kanya, masyado pa kasi ako mabait kausap samantalng si fiance strict talaga. hehe

Im a hizons bride.I got them early booked since they are very well known sa industry. Peroyung AE nila medyo mabagal magreply. And kinakabahan ako when it comes to their styling .sabi nila pwede naman i mix and match yung style. May level one and level two sila. yug level one is package na with 3 panel boards and basic set-up.yung level two,mas detailed na with 5 panel boards. pero may cost, 20,000 for the level two.And kasi I want ghost chairs,they ask me it will cost 100pesos per pax for ghost chairs kasi tiffany chairs talaga sila.  Do you experience the same? OKay ba yung styling nila or as is lang sa album nila?

December wedding namin sis. Hindi na ko kumuha ng stylist kasi nag over budget na rin kami. haha. 

Medyo issue ko din yung set up, kasi parang iniimagine ko lang ano magiging outcome eh. lol. Nung detailing namin pinapili lang kami sa choices. Tapos ngayon me mga pinaparevise pa rin ako. Kasi paiba-iba rin isip ko like yung backdrop and ceremony setup. Actually nag-ocular kami sa venue kasama si AE. Malaki daw yung sa reception area for 150 pax. Kaya hindi ko alam pano gagawin ko baka magmuka ring plain kasi malaki space? Hmm..

^sis  itsmeshieriz, if i were you allot some budget in styling kasi hizons' set up is really dissappointing sis. Pwede ka din mag pa quote sa iba like what I did, iba ang stylist ko ng grand entrance and backdrop para hindi magmukhang ewan. ang panget kasi talaga ng combinations, style and set up nila as in.

^sis fries kami biglaan nagpa book ng stylist kasi kahit ilang beses ko i-reason out sa sarili ko na nanghihinayang ako sa budget narealize ko rin naman na once in a lifetime lang to at hindi na pwede balikan kaya ang mga sure ako na panget sa hizons na set up like backdrop, entrance nag pa stylist na ako sis.

kinabahan ako sa styling ng hizons... hahaha. Looks like I might have to consider getting a stylist May idea kayo how much ang upgraded styling w/ hizons and do you also have photos?

^ My niece's catering during her debut last June was Hizon's. I paid for her venue + catering, binigay nung AE yung upgraded styling (level 2) for 50 per head instead of 100 per head. Hindi ako naka-attend nung debut nya because I'm based overseas but sa photos, it looks really good naman. For me they did well sa styling, of course malayo sa mga stylists talaga but for 10k (200 guests) okay na sya. Styling is definitely not their forte kaya better not expect something bongga, mas okay pa din to spend more on styling if you have extra budget but if out of budget, just lower the expectation nalang. And also, magaling siguro mag mix and match ng styles yung niece ko so it did turn well hehe. Her debut set-up was simple but not sobrang trashy naman.

Hi Sis Pretty love, oo nga naiisip ko na magdagdag ako ng styling. then yung backdrop nila kasi pmedyo unsatisfied ako so inadvice ako ng AE na if magstyling din naman ako ilagay na lang daw yug back drop sa likod ng caterer to have additional designon the buffet area.

We got married last 2015 pa. Nakapag FT kami sa Hizons and naka attend rin ng kasal na sila caterer.. dont want to disappoint you guys.. honestly speaking po tlaga ako, hindi ako nasarapan sa food. Ok lang kasi, di panget lasa, di rin masarap.. nasa gitna lang. Sa FT yan at sa actual na kasal. Mas masarap pa nga yung sa FT ng konte.
Sa design Im not sure if the couple upgraded their styling pero hindi kasi elegant. Yung bulaklak tinipid eh.. mums mostly. Mahilig ang hizons sa mums, napansin ko. Not really a fan of mums kasi napaka usual.
Pag dating kasi sa design, iba rin pag di masyado tinipid sa flowers.

I just have to say this kasi I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH HIZONS! my wedding was last week and everyone was complimenting the dishes at halos wala ng matira sa food kaya konti lang nauwi namin. Better get CHRISTINE TIZON kasi she handled everything like designs at sobrang galing nya sa set up maganda ang ginawa nya sa guests tables. at first ang dami kong doubts kasi madami ako nababasa here about unsatisfied brides but if you tell her about this, kasi naging vocal ako sa kanya. I told her lahat ng reklamo sa hizons and fear na baka isipin ng mga guests na tinipid ko sila and she understood naman and on the day ang mga guests ko naka 3 plates pa pabalikbalik sa buffet! hahahaha! so far so regarding sa caterer natuwa ako sa kanila. my only advise is BE SPECIFIC!! kahit sa taste ng food habang nag FT pa lang kayo ni fiance, maging honest at pranka  kayo sa kanila then sabihin nyo sa kanya kung anung kulang, like too salty ba? matigas ang meat, ganun. kami ni hubby naka 3 FT para lang makita at malaman kung alin ang hindi consistent sa kanila at mga kulang kahit sa set up. pero sinabi namin lahat un in a nice way sa kanya at ang galing naman nya kasi nasunod lahat ng gusto namin. walang masamang mangulit basta papakiusapan nyo lang sya like what happened to us kaya naka 3 FT kami kasi di kami makapag decide sa ibang dishes. Good luck guys and I hope maranasan nyo din ang happiness na naranasan ko from them.

To Hizon's Catering,

We enjoyed and loved our wedding last November 26, 2016 at Versailles, Alabang. We are still celebrating our honeymoon but we really need to raise a few questions for you.

1. Our agreed guest count was 160 (+10% buffer right?). But due to rain and traffic our guest count ended up only at 135. So bakit kinulang yung appetizers pero kayo naman ang nag serve ng portions? Bakit yung ibang guests namin kailangan pa humingi sa VIP table for appetizers? It rained, may traffic, after lunch ang start ng reception namin, that is the main reason we paid for appetizers for our guests kasi alam namin pag dating nila - gutom sila.

2. When some of our guests asked for appetizers, do you really have to give just a plate of appetizers for a 10 pax table? 5x appetizers yun diba and again 160 ang agreed head count natin.

3. When my mom started to get mad dahil kinulang sa appetizers, she was referred to the head waiter which referred her to the supervisor who was (hiding) on the 2nd floor. Ano ang ginagawa ng supervisor ninyo sa second floor if our reception is held at the ground floor grand ballroom?

4. We paid x,xxx pesos per plate for buffet and we have 2x kinds of pasta, pero kailangang papiliin ninyo ang guests namin kung either pasta lang, kung white OR red sauce lang? We paid for buffet right?

5. Appetizers palang nagreklamo na yung ibang relatives ko, kaya when the program ended, binantayan kayo sa pag balot ng natirang food. Bakit sobrang dami pa palang leftover food?

After receving honest feedbacks from our family and guests, the only criticism that we got was on your catering service. For our wedding we worked on a budget but sa food ng guests kami hindi nagtipid that's why we paid extra sa kinuha namin na package ninyo tapos kayo pala mismo ang titipid sa amin. We felt cheated.

From us newlyweds: Double thumbs down. Not recommended.

I also paid for two pasta but yes its buffet it should be "AND" not "OR".
Kamusta naman yung set-up?
And siguro dapat pala talaga bantayan yung number of pax dahil hindi natin need ng madaming left over.Need natin mapakain ang lahat ng guest at maayos.Sinong AE mo sis

^^ Oh my, I was able to talk to my friend who was a Hizon's bride. Ganito rin nangyari sa wedding nila. They opted for plated service and their guests were served 1 pc of onion ring each haha kaloka. Then when they got their leftover food, they received bags and bags of soggy onion rings hahaha! It seems some of the Hizon staff don't know how to portion food properly.

I also booked Hizon's Catering and now worried after reading the reviews about the table setup/styling. Please can anyone send me actual photos of their styling to silviuandjen@hotmail.com So i can decide if i really need some Event styling. Wala na kasi sa budget sana ang ES kaya kinuha na namen kay hizon un package na kasama yun.

Set-up was ok naman. Although we wished they added flower arrangements sa buffet table mismo. But its ok, food naman ang habol namin. Kaso yun nga palpak sila.

Im worried kasi we are planning to book Hizon's na sana kasi sa lahat ng accredited caterers sa venue namin kanila na yung best na food talaga. Sa mga naka final detailing na with Hizon's kamusta naman?
