sisses, im in a dilemma right now. I really dont know which specialization to take. First love ko ang OB, nag-preresidency ako but nagquit ako though mataas ang chance ko makapasok. kasi parang nung time na un, d pa ko ready. And maraming factors. Basically gusto ko ng time for myself and sa family (i lost my mom during clerkship lasi so parang I wasnt really given the opportunity to grieve and bounce back 100%, buti nga natapos ko clerkship and internship at boards). Anyway, right now Im into moonlightong... but ngayon parang masaya ako na ganito... na benign... na kasama family. na hindi haggard at toxic. Naisip ko magderma na lang. I even prayed for it. Humingi ako ng sign... pero gusto ko din malaman ang opinion niyo. Which specialization kaya mas ok? OB or derma?

IMO, both specialties are okay. My pros & cons ang bawat specialty but it boils down on how you will see yourself in the future, kung saan ka magiging masaya.

Being a GP will give you an idea what to specialise and help you prepare for residency. After some time, try your luck again in pre-residency & eventually residency training. Iba pa rin kapag may formal training ka.
