i might also go CS, either elective or alternative after "trial of labor", pero hindi pa rin sure. sa april pa namin malalaman kung ano na talaga.

my friend gave birth in delgado too, pero 65K lang ang bill nila for CS, all in na.

^oh thanks sis kaya pala wala ako nun last time, direct room in kasi si baby and we provided everything he.might need. we just paid the pedia. thanks for clarifying

sis vainwriter, saken kasi 60K is pf pa lang ni ob/ anaest/ pedia. im not sure how much breakdown for each but im assuming 80% goes to the ob. ob ko is doc michelle dado. di ko rin inexpect na magiging ganun kalaki bill ko. buti nalang andun parents ko to help us shoulder the bill. so disappointed.

sis mafiapenguins, im not sure what the policies are pero after recovery room, i was asked lang if i wanted to breastfeed the baby sa nursery or if i-room in ko na sya. once ma room in there's no going back.

Hi. Actually my questions are for mothers who gave birth in different hospitals na.

My ob is from mmc and slgc only. I really trust her for my pregnancy but i find her quotations pricey. She told us to prepare 100k for nsd in mmc, semi private room or 150k for private room in slgc. Vague ang doctor sa coverage. All-in na ba talaga lahat dito o may hidden or additional charges pa usually hindi sinasabi ang docs  Nahiya naman ako magtanong uli o kumuha ng breakdown of this 100k quote nya.

Then my sis told me that she gave birth in cgh for only 60k suite room na. I consulted with her ob there and half priced difference naman talaga sa consultation fee pero half as good lang din yun doctor sa galing. Tapos ang hospital pa looking like an old, public place.. My sil naman sa province ay 30k complete na rin daw. Is the confidence in your ob and your peace of mind worth it to give birth sa big hospitals kahit maubos savings namin ni hubby?t

thanks sis denden... at least we have an idea na. actually, si hubby ang may gusto ng room in, para daw hindi na ako lalabas ng room. sa akin naman, okay lang kahit ano.

about your bill, sis, siguro nga the doctors' PF greatly affects the total bill. i remember my friend (who used to work in delgado) telling na yung dati ko daw OB, mataas ang PF, dahil specialist na sya and director na ng OB department. My current OB naman, she says that she doesnt charge much daw. that I still have yet to see. ang estimate nya sa akin is to prepare around 85K for CS. that should cover everything na daw.

sis golinda, my stand naman on your dilemma, ask your OB if she can deliver your baby sa ibang hospital. i would prefer kasi sana na yung OB na kasama throughout my pregnancy would be the one to deliver my baby. pero kung ang PF nya ang problema, maybe you can ask to compromise. ang sa akin is confident ako that everything will be alright.

mafiapenguins Hi! My SIL gave birth at Delgado 65k NSD all in private room w/o ref (w/ PF na). Sabi nga nya, may mga nakasabayan syang manganak at grabe singil ng OB. Di naman sya nagpa-room in so kusa sya naglakad papunta nursery to BF her baby. A few steps lang naman ang nursery sa room nya so carry lang. Kaya naman di sila nagpa-room in kasi mahihirapan yung kapatid ko mag-alaga sa kanilang dalawa lalo na 1st time parents. Ako naman, parang gusto ko magroom-in pero bahala na si batman hehe! Kapag malapit na tsaka siguro kami magdedecide.

actually sis, yun din ang concern ko... wawa naman si hubby mag-asikaso sa aming 2, lalo na kung nagbabadyang ma CS ako. baka hindi na matulog yun. pero keri na yung 65K NSD sa private. around that din ang quote ni OB sa amin, kung magpprivate daw kami. basta daw ang range is 40-50K NSD ward, 65K pag private. then 65-85K CS. so depende talaga sa OB... may i ask sis, would you your SIL's OB?

sis denden, si doc dado rin ang OB ko... 80-100k din ang estimate nya sakin kapag CS sa delgado... nagulat naman ako sa bill mo to think na nag-ward ka pa before mag-semi private...parang ang mahal din ng hospital bills  sis, medyo ot..pero would you mind sharing bakit ka na-emergency CS?

Mafiapenguins, makati med at st lukes global lang si doc. Although mga 5 years na nya ako patient, nung na preggy lang naman kami lagi nagkita so hindi pa rin ganun ka close. Ayaw din nya mag hospital package. At feel ko hindi sya magdidiscount sa pf. Kase mas mahal daw magagastos namin, maraming bawal, etc. Medyo ceiling na talaga namin un 100k eh may add- ons pa kaya yun? Thanks.

maybe you tell her your max cap... anyway, kung hindi rin naman nya bet yung hospital package, baka naman she's okay with delivering in a different hospital... yung dati ko ring OB, almost 7 years nya akong patient, and nasa kanya lahat ng Gyne records ko. i just changed OB kasi hindi na sya natanggap ng HMO... luckily, yung OB ko now, sa kanya na ako nagstart nung napreggy ako... sakto yung paglipat ko sa kanya when i got the two lines.

sis gullible, na emergency cs ako kasi hindi raw consistent ang heart rate ni baby. bumababa raw everytime na may contraction. another reason is nung nag break yung water ko, me poop na raw so it means na nagpoop na si baby, so kelangan na ko i-cs para hindi nya makain yung poop.

ang quote nya kasi saken for nsd is 50-60k and for cs is 70-80k. all in. kaya nagtaka lang ako kasi pf (ob/anaest/pedia) pa lang nasa 60k na. anyway sabi nga namin ni hubby, ok lang at least nabayaran naman namin.. and at the end of the day ang importante is ok si baby. he's healthy and nauwi namin sya kagad.

btw, me pedia dun na kababata ni hubby. nalaman lang nya nung last day ko sa hospital kasi nakasalubong nya sa hallway. the pedia told him na whether cs/ normal, mas advisable daw na umuwi kagad after recovery room. lahat naman raw ng meds pwedeng oral. after 48 hrs pa naman raw ang newborn screening, pwedeng bumalik nalang for that. ilang minuto lang naman raw yun. kasi strategy raw ng hospital ang pagpapastay sa patient as long as possible para mas marami silang ma bill sa family.

ganun... parang hindi ko naman ata kayang umuwi kagad after delivery... bagong tahi ako tapos bbyahe na pauwi... keri lang siguro yung 2-3 days sa hospital, more than that, sobra na.

gave birth last Jan 11 at delgado via emergency cs delivery. my ob and the hospital quoted around 70-80k (all in) for cs but here's my total bill:

60k = OB's fee plus anesthesiologist and pedia
43k = hospital fees
8k =  baby's hospital fees
TOTAL = 111K

walang complication whatsoever. ward kami then transferred to a semi private room after my recovery. stayed at the hospital for 3 days.
 

saw your post sis, and ako rin nagtataka. bakit umabot ka sa ganung halaga samantalang on my post in the previous thread, halos same lang tayo na stat cs at may complications pa si baby pero 100k lang kami. may philhealth ka ba?

yung pf din talaga ang magpapamahal eh. yung ob ko din ayae magquote ng pf nya, kahit nung dati pa ang sinasabi nya proce range lang. siguro kasi kung mas mahihirapan sila they ask for more kesa kung mabilis lang yung procedure.

regarding hospital stay, ako din preferred ko to stay sa hospital muna at least pag nakafart na kung cs...kasi otherwise hassle lang ang pagbalik sa hospital if something goes wrong. pero kung normal delivery ok lang siguro like yung relatives ko overseas the next day umuuwi na sila the mga three days after work na daw sila...grabe nga eh buti na lang dito satin medyo binebaby pagkapanganak
