hi mga sisses. share ko lang, nagbook na kami sa Glass Garden and we chose the Diamond venue. na-Ondoy daw sila as most places in Marikina pero di naman sila nahabagat. hubby and i really want a garden reception but with the crazy weather, nagsigurado na kami. plan kasi namin before mag plan b using tents pero iba na talaga pag nabasa na ang grass di na mag-eenjoy mga bisita. sa GG, soundproof mga venues so di magkakarinigan though di ko pa na-experience. i just feel i'll be getting value for my money with GG.

hello sisses! may nakapag try na ba sa Iris Observatory ng Tivoli gardens residences sa Mandaluyong? I've been searching all over for a rooftop venue. sumakit na nga leeg ko kakatingala for possible rooftop venues around makati eh

^Nice naman sis yung Oasis, kalaban mo lang talaga is the weather for the ceremony. Pag Oasis kasi kasama na yung drapes sa venue. You may also check out Light of Love.

agree sis you can check out light of love, may nakita ako garden ceremony setup dun. super ganda. with white drapes hanging from the trees and white lamps.. sayang di ko napicturan. hanap ako.

Hello, ask ko lang, any idea kung magkano ang rates ng lights of love? Wala sa website nila eh, or di ko lang nakita.

sis inquire ka through email. 2012 rate nila:
venue only range from 60-80k (iba iba kase). atrium was 80k that time. tapos pag package with venue asa 130-160k for 150 pax depende sa caterer.

hi sis em_cee, sa Nov 2013 kami and we got Josiah's. sila talaga gusto kong caterer eversince. :p yung sa brother mo kelan ang wedding and church?

naalala ko pala mga sis. ang maganda sa light of love is mayroon ka nang covered venue which is very nice (ours was atrium, medyo maliit nga lang) tapos nay garden pictorial pa na it's as if you had a garden wedding hehe

Have you checked Le Souffle at the top of the Citi, Paseo de Roxas. But i think you have to get their in-house caterer. Or if you want to consider Taguig, you can check Top Shelf, Fullybooked.

hi sis! lahat naman sa rizal area na-ondoy.. I've lived there for all my life pero yung ondoy ang first time na binaha kami kasi grabe naman talaga yun.. pero don't worry, okay naman ang location ng GG.. when ba ang wedding niyo sis.. kung hindi naman kayo july- september eh hindi naman tataas masyado ang tubig sa marikina river..

true sis, pag ganto ka weird ang weather, wag na mag risk sa outdoor venue.. we've experienced a wedding na naglusak talaga putik kung putik.. and pag may tents sa garden, IMO lang naman, it lessens the kilig and romantic factor ng garden event..

@carmichael18: i agree sis. i think it's near impossible na rin to execute a garden reception/wedding with this kind of weather. kahit pa umambon lang o a day before your wedding umulan, putik putik na talaga. getting an indoor garden venue (w/ aircon) gave us peace of mind. last week of November 2013 kasi kami and we are really hoping na walang kasing tindi ni ondoy na humabol. :p

be careful with venues claiming that they can hold x number of people. for my sister's debut, we booked a popular events place and they said it can fit 250 tables with stage and dance floor. now, we can't even even comfortably fit 210 pax.

^^ true true!! These venues failed to consider the space a buffet area consumes, dance floor, band/entertainment area, photobooth, couples table And of course you need some feet allowance per table.

So always always check the actual set up or ask your caterer to measure the alloted space for buffet, ind guests table, couples table Etc

hi sis! thanks for the suggestions. I haven't been to both venues pero based on my research more of restaurant yun Top of the Citi diba? eh we were thinking of getting a band din kasi. For Top Shelf naman,  I saw pics online and mababa ang ceiling...

Hirap na talaga ako makakita ng venue kasi I have this picture in my head lang that I want to happen. Pero I guess if walang choice talaga, I have to let that go...

^^^ unfortunately, yes. kaka stress kasi we're getting a sliding LED wall for her grand entrance pero hirap na hirap kami pag kasyahin. the bufet tables are outside na ha.

^^ exactly, i think it's a marketing ploy. plus also read the fine print of how many amps they will provide. apparently, ours is just 20 (hello, 1 water heater or AC lang yan) and we have to pay extra 6k for 100amps to accommodate the L/S, LED, etc etc. ang daming plus plus. but poa when i got married in a hotel ballroom, no restrictions whatsoever.

^Wow, that's a lot of hidden charges sis. We were planning to hold our reception there but due to budget constraints we didn't push through. I can only imagine yung gastos namin kapag dun kami, baka sumakit ulo namin sa gastos. hehe.

One caterer said before na pag sinabi na always deduct 50 daw sa press release nila na number of guests.

Yung venue na nabook namin said good for 350 daw sila, pero when we went there may nakaset up na 250, medyo masikip na and wala pa yung buffet tables dun. Kaya dapat talaga pag nagocular the best yung may set up na so you can see kung ano talaga capacity.

oo nga, that's what we learned na deduct 50. oh well, lesson learned madami talagang hidden charges so mas better talaga hotel for me.
