hi mga sis pasubscribe! ako din ahindi ko pa alam ang gagawin ko kung san ako kukuha ng MC. tried asking my friend at NSO about 6 months pa daw!!!!

You can get your MC at the church anytime. may duplicates yan. The original sa church talaga kinukuha sa parish office. if you try to get from NSO matagal mo pa makukuha.

mga sis i already got our Marriage Certificate pero yung signed pa lang ng Caticlan city hall. share ko lang yung naging process.

we got our own certificate of marriage forms dito sa munisipyo namin. dapat we have to wait for our solemnizing officer to get this, ayoko na mag-intay so i asked my uncle if he knows somebody from our city hall. fortunately, binigyan sha ng form (4 pages yun) kaya nagkaron ako agad.

Slightly off topic but still related, how easy is it to set an appointment with a judge for civil ceremony after getting the marriage license?

After finding out how long kasi it takes to get the NSO marriage certificate, h2b and I are thinking of having a civil ceremony muna before the church wedding. But hubby can only be in the country for a maximum of 2 wks.

Need some help ladies.

If I live in QC but want to get civilly married in Cainta where I grew up. My uncle knows the mayor, too. Do I need to live in Cainta in order to get a marriage license there and have a civil wedding there?

Ang alam ko lang kasi, once you get your ML you can get married anywhere in the country. I just don't know if you are required to apply for the ML where you are presently living.

^ You have to get the Marriage License in QC or in the city where your fiance resides. You can't get it from Cainta if you don't live there.

Thanks kiracharlie. My uncle said okay naman daw to use his Cainta address for the ML, pero medyo nag-aalangan ako. If I did that, will it be reflected on the Marriage Certificate?

We will be applying kasi for US spousal visa after and the MC is a requirement. Napaparanoid lang ako na baka they might ask about the address.

LingMVL, getting a license from QC is not that hard. Better to just go there to avoid problems you might encounter after. Can you not get married in Cainta if the marriage license is from QC? As far as I know, you can use your license anywhere. The only rule is to acquire it from your municipality, where you are a resident.

akosila, bring your copy to the local registry in city hall. If you arrive early, you can get it the same day. Yes, you have to pay. For the NSO copy, you can ask the local registry to endorse your marriage certificate to NSO. Then you'll have to pay the courier fees. Unless your documents are in NSO already then you don't need the endorsement. Once the documents are in NSO, you can request na for a copy.
