Switching your 1 year old to fresh milk

Im not really a milk drinker kaya clueless ako. Anong brand ba ng milk ok? Ayoko chinese brand

My son drinks alaska fresh milk before kaso this month nag-switch ako sa harvey fresh na lactose free kasi son ko nag lalactose intollerance na naman. Ewan ko ba dati nawala na kasi yun bumalik na naman. Pero napansin ko lang sa fresh milk mas malakas ang crave niya sa healthy foods :)He drinks 3 cups a day.

^^di ko sure kung meron dyan sa manila sorry may isa pang brand natry baby ko na iniinom madalas ng mga inlaws ko na ok din sa kanya but i can't remember the brand e. post ko dito ulit pag naalala ko

aside from fresh milk, ok rin ang mga yakult, yogurt for babies.

I'm surprised this isn't a norm in the Philippines! I'm a nurse and it really is acceptable to switch to fresh milk.It's cow's milk-and most infant formulas are cow's milk based! In my experience, only babies who are lactose intolerant or allergic in some way to cow's milk should NOT be on fresh COW'S MILK.If your child is eating normal, they don't NEED formula! No wonder most kids get weaned off the bottle so late.I see kids as late as 4-6 naka bote pa sa malls my God!

I'm a staunch supporter of breastfeeding and being a mom and a nurse, we all know IF only all moms could breastfeed til their babies are 2 then formula companies would close down .

The thing about cow's milk is that it's so hard to digest coz of the fat content and the casein.Cow's milk is made for their calves who can digest it properly.it's this fat content na undigested which makes the poop of kids smellier than when they're on human milk.I would suggest kung may mabibilhan kayo ng fresh GOAT's milk, it's better kasi mas easily digestible ang fat contents ng goats (maybe coz they eat grass and real fruit/plants, unlike grainfed cows nowadays).

One more thing: doctors DO get paid by some pharmaceutical companies to "prescribe" formulas.Not all, but some.Bottom point is: you CAN switch your kid to fresh COW's milk if they like it.Mahirap i-switch kasi they got so used to the sweeter taste of formula.For as long as your child is eating well,plain fresh milk is more than ok for calcium's sake.

Hi, I would like to switch na rin my daughter to fresh milk kasi every 2months na ata nag tatas ang mga formula milk!! as in, i keep track kasi ng pricelist nila eh, saka ayaw ko rin masanay sa sweets yung anak ko eh, ngayon ang fave niya is yung dutchmill, umiinom inom din siya ng fresh milk ko, kaso ang iniisip ko kasi pag matutulog siya, minsan gusto niya muna dede before matulog, or pagnagising siya in the middle of the night, pwede pa kaya yung fresh milk?

^hi sis, before she sleep mo nalang sya painumin milk kasi nakakasira ng ngipin yun.. Unless ma toothbrushan mo sya bago ulit matulog..

im using non fat milk, yun kasi nirecommend sa akin. sabi ng doctor hindi naman daw kailangan ni baby ng fat sa whole milk and same amount of vitamins lang naman daw sila sa non fat.

^sabi naman ng pedia ko hindi dapat non-fat kasi toddlers need fat naman. BUT for some cases if the kid is on the big side, they recommend low fat or nonfat milk instead

Iba iba din ang lasa ng fresh milk. Have your kid try different brands. Buy the small tetra packs muna. My daughter kikes cowhead. Ayaw nya ng nestle.

I bought yung bear brand muna, kaso malaki nabili ko, siguro pag ayaw ipapang cereals ko na lang muna ang fave niya kasi yung dutchmill ba yun? saka alaska yogurt eh.

anong brand ba ang may goat's milk? yon sana ang gusto kong pa-try sa dau ko kasi mas madaling idigest ang fats ng goat compare sa cow base sa nabasa ko dito sa forum. any recommendations? thanks
