arrived here in bohol yesterday.. currently watching the live fight.. waiting for the main event - pacquiao vs marquez.. di na pala namin need magpunta sa mall, meron dito sa citadel free live PPV ng fight!

back from our Bohol vacation. weather last weekend in Bohol was very good.  my family of 6 stayed at the whites and greens resort.  W&G has reasonable rates and clean rooms. we had a beach front cottage.  we availed of the tours of  Tatsky/Ate Kathy and happy naman kami sa services nila.  We ended the countryside tour with a dinner at the Bohol Bee Farm.  Nag-alisan na daw mga bees sabi nung nagserve sa amin. anyhoo, the food was interesting but my mother and uncle were disappointed with the ribs served to us. sabi nila d raw fresh yung meat na ginamit. Sa sea tour naman, matagal kami naghanap ng dolphins, buti na lang nagpakita sila =)

^^ rocky, sa Carmen po kami, our guide told us that mas maganda ang view sa Carmen compared to Sagbayan, tapos nag ATV din kasi kami para maiba naman at truly masaya nga ang hatid na experience ng ATV ride. Madali lang naman akyatin ang 214 steps going to the viewing deck, isipin nyo na lang na nag exercise hehe (healthy pa)

^^salamat sis..kinausap ko na rin si kuya tungkol dyan and nakakuha pa para sa tita ko pero 1 night lang inavail ni tita para daw ma try naman nya yung ibang location sa Bohol. Nakapag Bohol na pala dati si tita.

Mga sis any of you here na nakapag try mag stay sa Loboc? im thinking of two resorts in Loboc... sa Loboc river resort or stefanie grace.. help naman po ng mga tips and reviews

sis panalo yan loboc... mag tour ka na lang dyan sis... for me mas gusto namin mag stay sa panglaw island tapos mag tour na lang sa loboc.

^^sis wednesday_C, actually we're also planning to stay for 1-2 nights in Loboc River Resort kasi ang ganda ng reviews sa Agoda. so 1-2nights kami sa Loboc, tapos 2-3nights sa Panglao. kasi i prefer na pag nag-Countryside Tour, sa Loboc River Resort na kami matutulog.

di ba there are several beaches in Panglao? there's Alona beach, Danao beach, Doljo beach, Bolod beach, Dauis, etc. sana merong Gtalker na familiar sa different beaches na ito para makapagbigay ng detailed review of these beaches (NOT the resorts)... so we know at what beach we want to stay. once we determine what beach we want to stay in, saka na ko mag-decide on the resort. thanks!!!!!

kasi i know na ang pinaka-popular ay Alona, it's the beach with the most tourists. pero i also want to learn about the other beaches.

We'll be in Bohol on Feb 22 this year
Meron ba kayong alam na hotel in Tagbilaran City na flexible ang time ng check in and check out? and kung may halfday (12hrs) rate?
For example ang dating namin from Cebu is around 8:00 AM, gusto ko kase mag mag check in muna bago mag gala and we're planning to check out din kase ng maaga like 5am since pupunta kami ng Danao the next day.. Please help..

^^sis alona beach is the one where alona tropical resort is. We were there years ago and it's like a mini Boracay na tabi-tabi yung resorts at maraming choices ng food. you can hop from one resort/resto to another. for me mas ok ang beach dito although hindi kasing lawak ng sa Dumaluan (bolod beach). Mas konti kasi ang seaweeds dito nung nagpunta kami.

bolod beach is where dumaluan, WAG and Bohol Beach Club is. nice here if sa Bohol Beach Club kayo magstay kasi talagang combed na combed ang beachfront and ang lawak nya. Otherwise, kung sa DBR or sa WAG kayo mag-stay, medyo madaming seaweeds at madaming tao. mahal pa ang food sa area na ito kasi mas konti ang choices. so unless sa BBC kayo magstay, mas preferred ko ang Alona side.

doljo beach is where Bellevue Bohol is. mas maiksi ang beach na ito among the three. and hindi ko alam kung may ibang resort na dun aside sa Bellevue. Otherwise, expect "Bellevue" price from accommodation to food.

i used the "Search function" to check reviews on Amorita Resort, but there are very few. so baka naman meron pang gustong mag-share ng detailed review sa naka-stay na dun? please? is it worth the price?

and one specific question ko sana about Amorita is about their "direct access" to the beach. ang taas kasi ng rating sa Agoda kahit hindi siya "technically beachfront". ang sabi ng Agoda reviewers, may "direct access" to the beach, which is a set of stairs. so may question ako about those stairs, hehe. hindi naman siguro sobrang taas and tirik ng stairs na yun? my dad is 62 yo na kasi, pero syempre nakakalakad pa! pero minsan kasi masakit paa niya due to arthritis. of course he can still climb a flight of stairs, as long as hindi naman nakakaloka yung stairs. any feedback, please??

i know na i have other options ng beachfront resorts na hindi na kailangan mag-stairs pa. pero ang taas kasi ng rating and ang ganda ng reviews na parang i want them to experience the Amorita Resort. kasi yun na yung may mataas na rating na mahal pero hindi super duper mahal. onti lang ang Bohol resorts na maganda ang rating sa Agoda. yun kasi ang isa sa major na pinagba-basehan ko kasi actual travelers lang ang pwede mag-post ng review.

does anybody know kung magkano ang Villa sa Henann Resort? i tried mock booking sa website nila, error, nakakainis. tapos walang published rate sa website. i do know na yung Villa rate is good for 2pax and P1,800 ang bayad for an extra person. ang gusto ko rin sana malaman, aside from the Villa rate, is allowed ba ang 4pax sa isang Villa? so bale 2 extra persons. meron bang naka-try na nang ganun?

Amorita is beside Alona Tropical, nakita ko lang from Alona parang maganda sa taas. Sabi ng boss ko romantic daw dun saka masarap yung food so ideal cia for couple, honeymooners. mejo mataas nga ang hagdanan pero di naman matarik kasi di sya straight na pababa eh.. Yung beach sa alona not ideal for swimming kasi maraming bangka na nakapark, saka mabababaw yung tubig. Nakapagstay na ko sa Alona Tropical okay dun pero wala kasi phone sa loob ng room so everytime may kailangan ka lalabas ka talaga at hahanap ng staff na umiikot sa area. Nakapagtry na ko sa Panglao Regents, di cia beach front pero likod lang ng alona siguro 5 mins walk, maganda yung room and cozy ambiance saka mura lang.

Yung beach sa alona not ideal for swimming kasi maraming bangka na nakapark, saka mabababaw yung tubig.

oh, wait!! huh? really? hindi ideal for swimming yung Alona beach? so aling beach sa Panglao ang ideal for swimming?? nalito na naman ako..

Sis meimei, hindi ko na try ang Amorita, but nakita ko ang hagdanan and i guess your Dad will be able to manage those flight of stairs. And regarding to alona's beach, maganda naman sya, yes there are boats but hindi naman talaga naka park malapit sa shore so carry lang kung mag swimming, and 1 thing that i liked about Alona is that you'll have a lot of choices where to dine in.

Sis we stayed in Alona Hidden Dream as we took the hassle-free package of incon tours, magandang resort and still very new, rooms are really nice but i just forgot to ask how much is their rate since we took a package with incon and d na ako nag ask pa kasi contented na ako with the package rate we took and binigyan kami ng that kind of accommodation. 2 minute walk to beach lang sya sis, and swimming pool during our stay there wasn't ready yet, but i guess tapos na yun ngayon, masarap din ang foods sa kanilang restaurant.

And regarding alona's beach, maganda naman sya, yes there are boats but hindi naman talaga naka park malapit sa shore so carry lang kung mag swimming

ay pero may boats pa rin.. kasi ang family namin ay sobrang hilig sa beach, kumbaga we're taking a vacation mainly for the beach, kaya dapat excellent yung beach.. pero my brother went to Alona beach several years back and maganda naman ang feedback niya noon. sana maganda pa rin ang Alona beach ngayon, specifically for swimming. kasi actually yung dining choices along the beach doesn't really make any difference for us, mas importante ang magandang swimmable beach para sa amin.

wala talagang nakakaalam kung magkano ang Villa sa Henann Resort? walang nagre-reply sa akin...

Sis, we stayed in Amorita resort back in 2009. Medyo pricey kasi we paid 14k per night for their villa. Romantic talaga yung place and very private and excellent yung service, very attentive yung mga staff at honest pa. Pag ahon mo pa lang sa pool, nakaabang na sila to offer towel and a glass of water. yung breakfast nila super sulit kasi buffet na lahat ng klaseng food nandun na. Malaki yung villa na napag stay-an namin, di ko lang sure yung sa deluxe rooms nila. May plunge pool pa paglabas mismo ng room lang. Yung bathroom sobrang laki din, tapos kakaiba yung style parang native style na may rain shower, basta maganda at malaki yung room, hehe.  [textspeak!] infiniti pool nila medyo maliit.

Yung access naman sa Alona beach, yeah may stairs dun pero not advisable sa medyo may edad na kasi medyo mataas din. althou may guard naman sila dun na pwede mag assist. Ang maganda sa Amorita is yung service talaga, sobrang mababait yung staff, binibigyan namin ng tip, tumatanggi talaga at kailangan pa ipilit sa kanila. Tapos overlooking yung infiniti pool nila sa Alona beach kaya relaxing yung place.

Mahal naman talaga ang mga resorts sa Bohol so i think reasonable na rin yung sa Amorita.

i was in Bohol in november and december 2012.

i stayed in amorita last november 2012. the resort itself is situated on a cliff overlooking the sea. maganda naman ang rooms kasi malinis and may wifi (kahit minsan napuputol). the food in their restaurant was not bad. magalang ang staff nila. may infinity pool and access sa beach. hindi naman matarik yung hagdanan going to the beach, parang kasingtaas lang ng hanggang 3rd floor ng bahay.  pwede naman magswimming sa beach dahil di naman masyadong close yung mga bangka.

nung december naman, i stayed at Whites and Greens (about 5-7 minutes walk to Dumaluan and  Bohol Beach Club). it is a family-owned resort and the owner is always there. budget resort lang ang W&G pero beachfront (less than 1/4 the cost for amorita). the cottages/rooms have basic amenities (CR, bed, TV, aircon). the food served in the restaurant was good too. the resort is good for a family vacation. tahimik. no loud music. malinis ang beach sa side na ito.

personally, mas preferred ko ang beach sa side ng W&G, and also the resort. mas sulit ito para sa akin.

new dito sa thread na ito. we're planning to go to cebu-bohol sometime in march. i wish i could backread a lot kaya lang may inaalagaan akong baby. meron akong few questions..

a. ok lang ba kung ang gawin ko ay ganito: manila-cebu-bohol-cebu-manila? wala na kasing seat sale sa cebu pac for tagbilaran. puro cebu. ok lang ba na 2d/1night kami sa bohol then 2d/1n sa cebu then fly back to manila?

b. san maganda magcheckin? yung baby friendly kasi sama namin yung baby namin. yung medyo affordable.

pero pag ok naman baka tatawid kami bohol kasi nakakatakot kaya lalo
pag may kasama bata.pero tour lang gagawin namin sa bohol,taz balik na cebu.
