^bro, sa tingin ko blind si girl sa oras na ito :( i feel sad for her kasi confused sya pero in a way, alam nyang mali sya.. I feel happy for you because you're not giving up on protecting her.. I think, the only way to wake her up from illusions is to have her hurt her heart by the mistake she's doing.. Experience daw ang best teacher natin di ba? Pero for people like you na mas broad minded, you don't want her to experience the pain, the mistake.. So, ang plan B lang is to be consistent on being sincere para marealize nya na di nya deserve yung guy and she deserves someone like you or someone better than you..

Another plan I can see is not to be always available for her, ignore her.. Baka marealize nya yung importance mo. BUT, risky to. Kasi pwede rin maging mas bulag sya when you're not around..

Haay. I hope everything would be alright, bro.

I also believed in that saying kaya it took me 3.5 years before I realized that enough is enough.
So scary hehe. :)

Bottomline BI si guy kasi he expects her accept his less than savory ways and she thinks she can change him with her "love". We know better diba?

Yes, we know better. But come to think of it, you know better and yet you still pursue her. :) Tama si FOURever, she knows she's wrong. Obviously. So why do you have to protect her? Because you had the 10 year relationship? You love her and don't want to get hurt? She's already hurting and it is her choice. Gaano mo man sya protektahan, masasaktan at masasaktan sya kasi desisyon nya to stick with the guy.

And, even if you do have qualities na meron yung isa at wala ka, hindi enough na dahilan yun para lokohin at saktan ka. We have to stop thinking na tayo ang may kasalanan kung bakit nila ginagawa yun sa atin. Kasi ugali na nila yun eh. They're not contented. You can never change someone and the changes they seek only comes from within.

If you're going to wait, wait for the relationship to work again and she waking up that she has done wrong, you're in it for the long haul. Baka ang dami ng opportunities na makalampas just because you're waiting. There are things in life that can't wait anymore, like taking care of yourself and having a good life. :)

Solid Advice, but I have not reached that point yet. Besides, acceptance isn't easy for me. I'm very persistent especially if I know I'm right.

Oh my gulay, sis! 6 freakin' years? Maaahn, that's a long time but what's important is you woke up to the reality that it's best to take care of yourself first. Good job! ;)

What you mentioned in the last part of your advice to Foodict which was:

"If you're going to wait, wait for the relationship to work again and she waking up that she has done wrong, you're in it for the long haul. Baka ang dami ng opportunities na makalampas just because you're waiting. There are things in life that can't wait anymore, like taking care of yourself and having a good life."

That actually is a huge wake up call. Those opportunities are what scared me and the fact that I'm already being unfair to myself.

A note on the "hoping for our partners to change" concept - naalala ko lang way back na natatawa ako sa sarili ko kapag naiisip kong huwag munang kumawala because I really believed in miracles and then eventually, I felt stupid because I can never rely on a miracle to change my then bf because he didn't even have the initiative to change for the better! Oh well, deep well, Samuel, towel, I guess kanya-kanya nga talagang coping mechanism at game plans ang gagawin nga mga tao, malampasan lang ang hinanakit nila sa pag-ibig. May magtatagumpay, may matatalo. Ganun talaga ang katotohanan. It does stabs us at the back sometimes...

Bigyan kita ng pag-asa.

I used to be in a long distance relationship and most of you know how it works. We see each other every 3 to 4 months. Sa LDR, trust is very important. Text and calls lang communication namin. Nung nakakaramdam ako na parang nanlalamig sya (kahit sa phone lang), I asked him, kasi wala naman talaga kaming pinagaawayan. He admitted he was seeing someone else. Parang gumuho mundo ko noon. For me, it's the end of our relationship. First bf e. Walang pagbabasehan. Nung nagkita kami, sabi nya gusto nya akong balikan pero small things, kinagagalit nya. Parang lagi nya akong hinahanapan ng mali. In the end, napagod na rin ako, sabi ko ayoko na. Sya naman ang bumalik. Bigyan ko pa raw sya ng chance but to tell you honestly, sa sobrang sakit, parang namanhid na ako but I still gave him a chance, ayoko rin kasi magsisi.

You know what? Unti unti (but it took years kasi nga long distance kami), nahulog ulit loob ko. He's my ex-BF na ngayon kasi he's now my hubby.  :)

aww.. nice naman sis... actually, nasa tao din naman talaga e. if you continue to do the wrong things in the past relationship, it wouldn't really work out...kahit ilang chances pa.. dapat both of you should really work it out.. if you really love each other..to think na yung sa inyo nga... LDR pero nakaya naman. :)

I'm in for the long haul. or at least until the time she is engaged to someone else preferably not the guy who messed up her head.

If i dont stay and keep trying I will regret it and I dont want that. Besides I'll just focus on improving my finances for the time I cant work anymore.

^ Like what I said, nasa sa inyo kung makikinig kayo.. I'm just bringing new ideas to the table, since I know that being in that situation tortures each and everyone of us more than ever. I admit, there are stories that things do work. Please do not think that just because things happened to some people does mean it would work for your situation too. Kanya kanya lang talaga siguro yan. :)

But I get what you're saying. Regrets are one of the biggest driving force for all of us. Ako din, ayoko magsisi. Kung ano yung hindi ko mas pagsisisihan in the long run, dun ako. :)

Yes! 6 years-almost! Actually di kame umabot ng 6 years buti naman. Hehe. Grabe no?

Naniwala din kasi ako na magbabago sya. Pero the ex never changed. Parang ningas kugon lang? Hay naku I can't deal with it.

Thanks, sis. Most of my friends tell me na di nila kayang tagalan yung set up na kagaya ng sa amin (LDR from the start).

I agree, dapat both of you should work it out. :) We have been a couple for 5 years and we were on our 5th year of marriage last December.

Siguro if the relationship did not work, you're really not meant for each other in the first place. Someone better will come.
