Girls,  sinong cake supplier na buttercream, marshmallow icing and naked cake ang specialties? Ayaw ko kasi talaga ng fondant.  Sent a message na to JoySG, pero parang fondant kasi ang cakes nya usually.

@letters_to_cleo, try The Delightful Miss Joyce. Most of her cakes are fondant but I also see her do naked and buttercake and marshmallow icing

Is it ok to use buttercream if the reception is outdoors (evening) in summer (April)? My coord kasi said it might not hold.

Also, around how much kaya ang 2 tier cake with a bouquet of sugar paste flowers? I don't want a tall cake. We don't plan to serve cake at the wedding kasi we have dessert. I also want a plain white/ivory cake lang.

Sis not advisable ang buttercream sa outdoors.. mabilis babagsak/matutunaw yung icing. Kaya actually fondant ang madalas ginagamit kasi it can withstand our climate.

Hi sisses! Thanks sa mga recos! I got a reply na from Joy SG, ang option na inoffer nya is whipped cream icing, pero parang di ko bet ang whipped cream icing. May gusto akong cake, nakita ko sa pinterest. Gusto ko ng red velvet cream cheese frosting na naked cake accessorized with flowers and fruits. Simple lang and bagay sa theme namin na maroon and gold.  Indoor and evening, so I think eto na ang cake na ipupush ko sa mga cake suppliers na pagtatanungan ko:-)

I read from a 2015 post that K by C outsources their wedding cakes from Cake Concepts and Joy San Gabriel.  They might have changed suppliers or added new ones so it might be better to ask the AEs

Hello Can you ladies recommend a cake supplier that Tagaytay/Laguna based so wala ng OOT Fee? Our wedding will be in Angelfields.

I've already inquired with The Delightful Miss Joyce, Cynfully Sweets, Bethany Dream Cakes, LoveLots Cakes, Honey Glaze Cakes, Cake Concepts, and Chef Kiko but they are all WAY beyond our budget.

Majority of the suggestion from W@W is Tourist Cake, which quoted us a very good price. But I've also messaged Cake Studio by Nadine and they are a bit cheaper pero less reviews kasi. Same with Sofia's Cakeshop. Any reviews with these 2 cake suppliers? Thanks!

^I'm eyeing M Cakes. They're based in Laguna and wala silang OOTF for Tagaytay. Still looking out for other suppliers din. Nag-iiba ang preference ko habang papalapit nang papalapit. Haha!

True winkar22 and shygirlme, I got a message from M Cakes this morning saying na di daw muna siya accept ng orders coz they are trying to conceive this year.

I got a quote na from Sofia's, they are Tagaytay based as well. A little bit pricey for me. So I guess I have to choose between Tourist Cakes and Cakeshop by Nadine since both of them are within the budget   Pero nag inquire na din ako with The Dozen Chef

@decibel28, I found Audrey's Pastry Boutique. They offer free delivery to Tagaytay, too. I think reasonable din ang price and her cakes look gorgeous! You might want to check out din.

^ I've inquired with M cakes pa lang and so far sila na balak ko kaso since hiatus sila napahanap tuloy ako ng iba. Haha! I've sent inquiries with Sofia's and Audrey's. Si Audrey pa lang ang nagrereply. So far, #1 sya sa list ko. I like her portfolio. More on naked cake/buttercream ang gusto ko kasi. Not a fan of fondant.

Nag reply na din sakin si Sofia's and more expensive siya as compared kay Audrey's. Pero si Audrey's naman, beyond our budget na for the cake. So I guess we're down to Tourist Cakes or Cakeshop by Nadine

Nadagdagan na options namin for the cake supplier. Before it was only Tourist Cakes or Cakeshop by Nadine. Pero we discovered Audrey's Pastries and Bakeshop. So wait nalang kami to have a cake tasting, it will either be Tourist Cakes or Audrey's Pastries and Bakeshop this time
