hi! my doctor suspects i have psoriasis and is suggesting to do a punch biopsy. did you also undergo this? is there another way to diagnose psoriasis?

i have these flaky itchy patches usually on my elbows, and at times i'd get these "rashes" on my arms and legs.

This is what the 2nd derma diagnosed me of. Somehow it is related to psoriasis.

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000872.htm

mga sis question lang. since di pwede gumamit ng loofah, what else do you use? wala talaga? parang di ko ma-feel na malinis when bathing without it. pero it adds to the problem daw.

ok narin aquazorb kesa wala. magaspang kasi masyado yung loofah sis.

Koebner phenomenon. google mo.

^true! one of the spots that flared up (so glad na-clear ko na sya) before was because of scratching it excessively. after ko hubarin yung socks, super itchy. ayun after some time, nagkaron sya.

i'll buy more of the aquazorb for toweling off na rin. it feels nice on the skin.

Hi guys, is this topic still active? Anyway, I want to share my experience...

I have psor for almost 5 years now. I already tried a lot of medications, even the so called faith healers, but none of those seemed to be effective. I was already injected with Enbrel which was so expensive, kelangan ko yun every week for 3 months which costs 8k-9k per syringe plus Daivobet and methotrexate. After ng Enbrel um-ok naman sya pero di tumagal ng  1 year. So nagflare nnaman sya. One of my friend, who has P as well, recommended BL cream. So far effective sya. After 2-3 days of applying makikita na may crates na sya, kasi bilog [textspeak!] psor ko then [textspeak!] gitna nagfflatten tapos gilid na lang [textspeak!] natitira. Ngayon medyo malinis na at sana magtuloy tuloy and wag ng bumalik...
Here's what I am doing.. Sana makatulong
--- I applied BL Cream for two weeks (once a day after maligo) and then Daivobet for 2 weeks (once a day after maligo) , alternate dapat para hindi masanay [textspeak!] katawan sa iisang ointment kasi di na naging effective yung Daivo sakin nung straight na 5 years ko syang ginamit, pero nung alternate na with BL ayun effective na ulit.
--- I'm also taking Methotrexate (niresetahan ako ng rheumatologist ko), 6 tabs per week.
--- I'm taking Fish Oil Supplement everyday, skipping the day for my Metho (bawal magkasbay inumin kasi di magiging effective ang metho, or vice versa). Nakakatulong sya for moisturization ng skin
--- Syempre dont forget to drink plenty of water, 10 or more glasses per day. Kain din veggies and syempre lots of sleep at iwas sa stressors. Don't also forget to apply moisturizers sa skin... Effective sakin yung Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. I apply it all over my body including my face every night lalo na nung super dry and flare up ako, though mainit sa pakiramdam, tiniis ko para lang mawala na sya.

--- Iwas din sa alcoholic drinks, it triggers psor. :)

i'm not sure if psoriasis is a lot different from eczema. but if you've been using topical steroids to keep the flares at bay, you may want to check this out:

hi everyone!  :)

share ko lang rin, i am battling seborrheic dermatitis sa scalp. tapos parang same halos ng line of treatment with psoriasis. sabi lang nung derma na iniconsult ko sa "let's face it" --- if yung rashes lumalabas sa scalp area (like sa noo na or batok) or nagmamanifest rin sa skin (na hindi sa joints like siko), psor un. etong saken, sabi nya seborrheic dermatitis.

she recommended using stieprox shampoo. then to apply betamethasone lotion from 'let's face it'. sabi nya in two weeks dapat mawala na sya up to a month. kaso parang hindi naman sya gumaling. in fact, just this morning napansin kong meron narin ako sa pubic area. =(

so babalik ako this tues for checkup. i've been lurking around topics related to what i am experiencing. natry ko nizoral, pero wala rin. parang mas dry yung sa scalp area. parang pag may sugat tapos nagiging makapal at matigas na tuyo.

nauna magmanifest to sa skin. nasa lahi kase namin, tapos natrigger lang raw. kase ang causes ng seborrheic dermatitis can be diet, environment, stress.... eh parang all of the above ako. haha.

^100% agree. almost 12 years na ako may Psor. almost all treatments na try ko na. topical steroids, mtx, mga extra virgin coconut oil na pahid, anti dandruff creams, uvb treatments, ipl lasers, name it. except lang yung injections na costs almost 400thou as per my doctor. pansin ko lang, nawawala yung spots ko when i eat healthy plus exercise. simpleng simple but ang hirap kasi! sabi ng doctors, walang effect ang diet but i dont believe it. for me, fried food and sodas are the worst.
